Yarns in the Square carries a wide variety of yarns, knitting needles, crochet hooks, notions, accessories and pattern books. In addition to offerings from popular yarn manufacturers like Berroco, Plymouth, Cascade and Rowan, we also carry yarns from smaller more local or regional companies such as Done Roving of Maine and Dirty Water Dyeworks. Classes and workshops are also available.

History

Established in 2013.

Yarns in the Square was established in August of 2013 when Kristin Ross sold the Creative Stitch to Deb Connolly.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Deb worked for almost 25 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts overseeing and developing programming for homeless families and individuals. Knitting became an interest of hers when she found the Creative Stitch, then located in Cohasset, and began taking knitting classes. Knitting quickly became more than a hobby and when Kristin decided to sell the business to purse a master’s degree, Deb jumped at the chance to buy the shop.
