We had been buying huge bags of bird seed from the Tractor place, as our huge birds fill the huge trees, visit our huge feeders and deplete anything not served in huge portions. But wouldn’t it be so much nicer to find a local place, run by a local family, and leave some of our money here? Behold! Pat and his family started a nice horse feed place just around the corner from Hinckley Metropark, which is just around the corner from our bird-feeding home. Stopped in, met Pat and several of his cats and one of his horses, learned about his business and left with not one but TWO huge bags of birdseed, of two flavors, twelve suet bricks, of four flavors, and spent LESS than that other place and got MORE in quality. Just the best of all possible solutions. If you have horses, or ducks, squirrels, rabbits or any other manner of critter, do them a favor and at least TRY some of the feed, here. Pat knows his stuff. «I planted some bird seed. A bird came up. Now I don’t know what to feed it.» ― Steven Wright
