Harris Teeter

There is a cashier here named Christian who is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO handsome. Seriously, he’ll take a pic with you for a buck. Worth it.

It’s nestled off in the corner of an office park. It’s convenient on your way to the Harbor Lighthouse.

Best and friendliest cashiers on the island. Completely empty in the winter, as the locals know better. Mostly expired food, as in frozen food that expired more than 6 months ago. Don’t bother telling the management about expired food. They are going to sell it. It’s not coming off of the shelf. Most expensive on the island. Better nearby choices are Bi-​lo (cheap) or Publix (more expensive than Bi-​lo, but nicer, better selection, and great fried chicken in the deli).

While vacationing in Hilton Head we stopped into this Harris Teeter to pick up a few basics to keep at the house. This Harris Teeter location is very new looking and clean with the aisles being well stocked an nicely maintained. We grabbed a few snack items as well as beer and wine. I was quite impressed with the beer and wine offerings as they had a whole wood floor aisle dedicated to it with many craft beer offerings and plenty of wine options.
We swung by the sub counter to grab an easy dinner. The staff there was very friendly, though because it was the end of the day they were running a little low on bread choices. I opted for a whole tuna sub on their cheese bread. This cheese bread is pretty impressive with quite a bit of melted cheese on the outside (think Subway’s Italian herb and cheese, but better). I was impressed with their tuna salad, finding it much better than that I get at Publix. I felt it had less sweetness to it which I appreciate. I picked up a roast beef sub for my boyfriend which he enjoyed. What impressed me most about the subs here is that they did not get soggy. We ate half for dinner and saved the other half for lunch on the beach the next day. I had kind of figured the leftover plan wouldn’t last that long and I would end up buying something else, as I can’t stand eating Publix subs more than an hour or two after they are made, but the Harris Teeter bread held up much better and I was able to enjoy the leftovers.
When we planned our trip I had made sure to pack a few essentials because though I knew there was a grocery store on the island, I feared that it would be overpriced taking advantage of tourists and those trying not to leave the comfort of vacation paradise. I was pleased to find the prices here to be in line with what you would expect from this chain, so my fears were unfounded. We opted to checkout through the self checkout lane without any problems. Overall a successful trip and I highly recommend this store to save a little money eating out and stock up on snacks and water for beach days.

After a long day of riding bikes, my family and I needed something to drink (juices/​water) and we wanted a bottle of red wine and a salad. We stopped here at Harris Teeter, which is right by Sea Pines and after entering the store a young man approached me and asked if I needed help. I recall him saying he was from Moldova (Eastern Europe by Romania) He was extremely helpful and brought me to both sides of the store to show me where all of the juices were, he was great.
The lady at the checkout was fantastic as well and gave us some advice on what to do in the area. I was very impressed with the service at this grocery store, if only other places were like this as well. The store is very clean and well maintained and it is nice and cold too. For those who do not like the cold, you might want to wear a jacket inside the store.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.

Our «go to» grocery. Great selection. And if you ever meet Sue — she is the greatest. She is the epitome of a cancer conquer story!!!

Good fresh produce was what we purchased today. Corn was a little iffy but everything else was good, as well as our checkout employee. This is a perfect establishment for the beach houses, and only a few minute drive away.

Absolutely gorgeous store. Staff everywhere waiting to help locals and visitors alike. Fantastic deli department. Fresh baked breads are delicious. Order on-​line and drive through to pick up or pick up from lockers at the front of the store. Wish this was my grocer year round.

Not impressed with their organic, healthy options. Run of the mill conventional
Processed food, conventionally grown, and sugar/​corn syrup added. A tint bit of organic, but not much.

This Harris Teeter has a beautiful, landscaped exterior with a well-​maintained interior to match. Plus, what’s the most important component of a grocery store to a tourist? The wine and beer selection! Harris Teeter did not disappoint, and we were able to quickly purchase our beer and beach house essentials in one of the express lanes.

A great grocer with honest butchers who told me, «we certainly can grind that meat for you, but we haven’t cleaned the blades since we ground other meat, so you’re going to get fattier meat in there with it if we do.»
Honesty goes a long way with me. Clean store, great selection.

Stopped in twice while in Hilton Head to pick up a few items.
The selection is nice, it has more organics and natural products than most grocery stores (though I’d not compare it to WFs). Some prices were a little high, others were okay.
I wasn’t impressed by the customer service

This is our «go to» grocery store when staying on Hilton Head Island. The store has grown over the years. They have the necessities that we need while on vacation. We usually eat breakfast and sometimes lunch in our condo. We also get beverages there. They have a decent selection of beer and whine. Their produce is decent and they have a nice deli selection. The store is just outside Sea Pines and is very convenient since there are no super markets within Sea Pines.

Extensive selection of everything you can imagine, including organic. Yes, the prices are higher than other local supermarkets, but you get what you pay for, including fresh produce and an extremely clean store. Also, if you get a VIC card, you get great sale prices.

The new store is wonderful plenty of great selections. One tip you must have a vic card to get the discounts otherwise the prices are crazy. We learned it the hard way.
The deli folks could use some customer service tips not too friendly the days we were there.

Good selection and clean. However, the prices are outrageous. It is Hilton Head, I get it but expect to pay 30−40% more than anywhere else «normal»

We visited this location probably 10 times in the week we were on vacation. If you don’t find what you need here, it doesn’t exist. Their salad bar and prepared food sections were phenomenal and their extensive wine/​beer section were amazing. Great and helpful staff and they even have a red box. Love this place!
