Evergreen Pet Lodge

My dogs love it here. The owners and staff are great. Nice environment for the dogs. I just moved back to Hilton head, and it’s my first time having dogs here. The staff are very attentive, very loving towards all the dogs that come here. I could not ask for better care. If they notice any fleas on any of the dogs, they will treat them with an oral capstar prevention tablet too, to prevent the spread of any fleas. They check all dogs coming and going for fleas.

Great place for your dog. We visited Hilton Head and brought our 2 dogs to spend beach time. Very nice accommodating staff. Looked like we were not going to get there by their 12 noon closing. They said no problem they would make it work. As it turns out we made it with 10 minutes to spare.
Facility is welcoming and does not have a bad smell to it like I have experienced at other places. Staff obviously love dogs. Can tell by how they greet them whether the first time or after a period of time. One nice thing is you can «check your dog out» for beach time.
Dogs were well cared for and the bath given when we were leaving was great. We have a mini poodle and she looked like she had been to a groomer she was so nice and fluffy.

It was our first time boarding «Goose» at HHI, and it was an excellent experience. 4 nights, very reasonable price, great treatment, ability to come «check out» your pet for beach-​time. Couldn’t have been a nicer place. The owner, I’m assuming, was very nice and informative and helpful. Good location (mid-​island). Will definitely use them again!!!

My sweet Dottie (14 year old Border Collie) spends at least a weekend a month with «Uncle Jonathon» at Evergreen. They are so good to Dottie– And their grooming and baths are perfectly timed right before I pick her up. I honestly don’t know how I would travel, work and have a dog without my Evergreen friends!!!

Excellent experience for our furry friends and us! Prompt, professional and friendly service via email, phone and in person.
Super clean and bright facilities. Air conditioned!!! Animal hospital on site. Fenced area to let the dogs run and play in on our daily visits.
Accommodated our early arrival with no problems or additional charges. Dogs were well taken care of to the point staff new their names and personalities (& quirks) by checkout.
Pups bathed and happy to head home on departure. The dogs will undoubtedly be with us on future trips to HHI.

We brought our 4 month old Yorkie/​King Cav mix, Charlie, home today after a 5 night stay at Evergreen while we vacationed on Hilton Head. What a wonderful experience! As first time boarders, we were really nervous about leaving our very spoiled little boy. The staff was kind and loving. They were very accommodating when we picked Charlie up to take him out for an outing. When we returned Charlie to Evergreen, his tail was wagging and he wasn’t reluctant at all to go back. That told me everything that I needed to know! We will definitely take Charlie to Evergreen next year. Thanks!

I am so grateful to Jonathan and the entire staff at Evergreen!
My 5-​year-​old Pointer mix has bad allergies, and summer is especially hard on his sensitive skin. He had an outbreak just before I headed to Hilton Head for a family vacation; and I decided to board him on the island where I could check in with him.
My original plan was to stop in everyday to administer his medication and apply his medicated lotion; but Jonathan asked right away what special care Geffen needed, and he took careful notes. I ended up stopping in every other day, and it was obvious that Geffen’s skin was getting all the attention and care I give it myself. Jonathan was even able to give me a status update on his infection the last day, before they even brought Geffen out to me.
The facility is clean, modern, and well-​kept, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier.
And I couldn’t believe it wasn’t any more expensive than the kennel we use in Chapel Hill!
Thanks, Jonathan and Evergreen; if Geff and I still live in driving distance to HH next year, he’ll be back!

The facility is dirty — the actual room that my dog stayed in was dirty, had a bug on the wall, and didn’t seem sanitary. the staff were very helpful, but the accommodations could have been much nicer and better maintained. That being said, I don’t think there are many options on the island.

We came for our annual vacation, but we had our new addition to the family and this was the recommended kennel from The Disney resort on the island.
We weren’t disappointed. They responded to our questions and requests. Our dog was always happy to return and the shampoo for the ride home was a great decision.
We will be back, make no mistake this is a safe and happy place for your pet.

We recently stayed at Hilton Head and had to kennel our dog. He is 10 years old and had never been kenneled so we were a bit nervous. He did great at Evergreen. We picked him up most days and took him to the breach to play. When he returned to the kennel, he walked right in without any hesitation — a great sign that he was happy there. I would definitely take him there again.

I highly recommend this kennel. Our 10 yr old poodle suffering with cancer was well cared for in our recent visit to the island. The staff was kind and considerate of both our dog and us. This is truly the only kennel that I have ever used that I can recommend without reservation. I only wish they were in my hometown so I could use them more often!

Fabulous! We’ve brought our dog here twice in the last two years and know they are a great deal. For one week, with extra walks and two baths (we took her to the beach every morning) we only paid $ 180! She had many walks, play time in the yard and a very clean and fairly large space for herself. They are open everyday and owners are able to pickup pets for walks, a day out, or time a the beach. By the third day she is prancing in the door after being out with us. The staff is what makes me feel great about leaving my dog here!
