Catch 22

This was a new find on our annual visit to Hilton head. Daisy was the greatest with welcoming smile and helping us way beyond our expectations. Husband in wheelchair and came out into parking lot to help us.
The service and food were great from appetizers to dessert. We chose 3 appetizers calamari, crab cake and sausage pepper polenta — all were delicious. Our party of 4 had different main courses and no one had a dish they didn’t like. The pork chop comes highly recommended. All and all a great time. We will be back next year.

Solid menu with no bad choices. Had the 3 onion pork chop, cut with a fork, the Duck melts in your mouth. Woody wouldn’t let me sample his pasta and sausage but he had a happy plate.

Restaurant does not open til 5pm so made reservations for 5:30. Parking in lot available. We tried Monday’s chef’s appetizer special of garlic mussels but had to send the dish back twice cuz steamed mussels were undercooked & had strong fishy taste. After unsuccessful 2^nd time, we decided to skip dish and asked waiter to cancel dish cuz did not want to take a chance on stomach problems later. Josh was attentive and nice. I had to have the scallops & ravioli and wife had roasted duck… both were very good. Unfortunately, no room for desserts.

We went here just because I wanted oysters on the half shell while in Hilton Head. But it just wasn’t just a stop for that– they had great happy hour specials (even the oysters!) and we ate more then we planned. A good thing! Everything about the place is lovely, from the food and wine, Ambiance, and employees. Daisy and Kelly were great!

Good food. Great service. Unfortunate portion issues. We odered the triple onion pork chop, and the crab risotto. Both had excellent flavor, however, portions were tiny except for the ample pork chop. The risotto wasn’t even as large as most side dishes and at $ 20+ it’s a shame you will likely need to sop at a drive thru on your way home.

My wife absolutely loved her crab dish and my rare tuna was outstanding. Server was very attentive. We’ll be back.

Excellent food and service, great place to take your spouse for a special occation. Wonderfull selections on the menu.

Of all the dining we did in Hilton Head, this was our favorite. Crab cake app was divine! And don’t leave without trying the Ravioli! Great atmosphere for a quiet dinner with co-​workers.

Wonderful food, small quaint atmosphere, large wine selection. Ordered short ribs and they were wonderful. Took my 97 year old aunt and the owner was quite helpful in making sure she was comfortable. Will definitely return!

Absolutely Delicious food and excellent atmosphere! We started out with their she-​crab soup; for the entrée I had the glazed pork chop, gouda grits and green beans, and my husband had the grille special — devilled lobster & crab, filet, and bison ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. For dessert we shared a white chocolate crème brûlée that was oh so smooth… Every bite was fantastic, as were all of the waitstaff we encountered. This will now be on our list of places to go when we vacation on Hilton Head Island.

Arrived just before 9pm on a Saturday night and they were already breaking down and cleaning up the kitchen. Very disappointed that we were not seated and were turned away.

Ravioli Ravioli Ravioli!!! The Homemade Ravioli dish was amazing! I could eat this for an entrée. (It actually is available as an entrée served under sea scallops which I didn’t realize until after I already ordered).
The Daufuskie Hushpuppies with shrimp, crab, and honey butter were good, but I wasn’t blown away like I thought I would be.
We shared the Roasted Red Pepper and Lump Crab Soup. Although it wasn’t necessarily better than She Crab Soup, it was a nice reprieve from the dozens of versions of She Crab Soup available on the Island. (The best version of She Crab Soup we have encountered so far is at the Old Fort Pub)
My sister ordered the 3 Onion Encrusted Pork Chop off of our uncle’s recommendation. He said it was the best he’s ever had. I didn’t try it, but she said it was delicious. The waiter wrapped the rest of hers to go into a swan. This made me like the restaurant even more. It’s been years since I’ve seen a restaurant do this.
I ordered the Mediterranean Seafood Pasta in the petite size and I still didn’t finish it. For a pasta it felt pretty light, which I liked I didn’t feel weighed down after. The scallops were slightly overcooked though.
We ended with the Peanut Butter Sushi because so many Unilocal reviews raved about it. I didn’t really care for this, it was very rich and pedestrian. I was more curious from the name.
The bar area has more intimate feel than the dining room, although the dining room has local art on the walls for sale. The tables were adorable. They had seashells under the glass. We brought our own bottle of wine. The corkage fee was $ 20.
GET THE RAVIOLI!!!

The GREATEST meal I’ve ever had in Hilton Head. Mom got an app trio with fabulous seafood-​stuffed hush puppies and also raved about the house soup (crab and roasted red poetry bisque). I got the most meltingly well cooked short ribs ever. Daisy and Kerstin were so friendly and made great recommendations. Daisy even brought out a free dessert because she said «we like y’all and want you to stay longer». You MUST go eat here.

This is a must each year we visit Hilton Head. For more than 10 years, Penny and Gary have made every time as fun and enjoyable as the first. And Bryan’s culinary creations are always unforgettable! See you tonight!!!

Enjoyed the appetizer trio. Shrimp scallops and crab cake and ravioli on accident. All were delicious! Laid back dark small place. Great for a date! Will be back! Little pricey but good.

Ate here last Monday with a party of 8. It was really one calamity after another. Two of us ordered the daily special which included lobster, filet, and duck. They came back to us 10 minutes after ordering and informed us that they needed the lobster for a different entrée on the menu and couldn’t include it in the special anymore. They were replacing it with crab legs. At the same price. Snow crab legs. The «buffet line item» of the crab leg world.
One person switched to a fish, I switched to a seafood pasta. Our server came back to tell us that they were also out of the fish.
My seafood pasta came out completely overcooked. The pasta, and the seafood.
There were a number of other dishes prepared poorly, and with a price of $ 25-​$ 45/​entrée it should have been much better.
With plenty of other restaurants on the island I would recommend you try somewhere else.

PERFECT DATE NIGHT RESTAURANT!!!
My first time in HHI (Hilton Head Island) and not use to the atmosphere, style of the shops and the building setups but once you get use to it. It’s really fun. So for dinner ideas (and they have tons) I decided to ask a friend who lives here on the island for some suggestions. She gave me «Catch 22» and even made the reservation for me and I’m glad she did. (Thanks Corrine)
1.Very easy to get to and very courteous staff as we entered. I like that the owners are hands on and work there. We were seated by Daisy who seems like a bundle of fun and it got busy while we were there. She never lost that smile. Our waiter was great and made some great suggestions and all suggestions were fantastic.
2.Surprisingly this place was NOT THAT EXPENSIVE. I expected a $ 100 bill for 2 and we ate… A LOT! So for it to be under that (with tip of 25%), cost was totally worth it.
3. Food was fresh. Let’s stop all the fuss and just put the ravioli ON YOUR LIST OF THINGS TO EAT. Regardless of what you order, it’s a must!!! It’s explodes in your mouth and I was close to ordering a small side to reheat the next day. We ordered the lobster ravioli, portobello mushroom, and an amazing crab cake as our appetizer, it’s presentation was amazing as it it came on a 3 tier tray stacked and it not only makes it look like fun to eat but the food looks amAzing as well. So it’s tasted double cool. Did I mention the ravioli??? Get it, it was amazing! I had the «Eggplant Napoleon» fantastic just ask for extra cheese cause. It has a pesto sauce that was a nice touch to the dish along with the risotto. My wife has the seafood penne pasta, shrimp scallops soft as can be, crap and a butter sauce that was very creamy. A definite re-​do.
4. Dessert, we only had room to try 1 and they had this chocolate cake with ice cream that looked amazing. But that lost out to the peanut-​butter sushi (nope! Not a typo). This was an awesome desert. Peanut butter wrapped in an almost Cookie oil with whipped cream and strawberries. (Ask for extra strawberries so you can have them with the sushi each time) see pics.
Overall we will be back and I would recommend this restaurant for anyone. You’ll love the food and experience. Enjoy!!!

Small, intimate, and delicious! Great wine selection. Enjoyed a great variety around our table from the creamy risotto, delectable pork chops, incredible fresh catch, and perfectly presented ahi tuna! Would highly recommend for a kid-​free dining experience like few others in HHI

My family went for our last vacation dinner and we definitely saved the best for last! We were pleasantly surprised to find that every member of our family thoroughly enjoy their meals. Definitely will be a tradition to return here for dinner on every vacation we enjoy on Hilton Head Island.
