History
Established in 2007.
This business started in 2007 shortly after moving from Maui to Hawaii Island and realizing that the Big island is a rustic and agricultural town that is steeped in nature not commercial enterprise. With a B.A. in Art History and almost 30 years of experience in customer service, hospitality and art appreciation, it only made sense to create a business where Madame Pele’s natural art in the form of magnificent Kilauea could be admired. Hence, Vavoom Volcano Tours was born. Vavoom has taken people from around the world on exciting adventures in and around Kilauea Volcano and Hilo Town according to their interests and physical abilities. We have been honored to enhance thousands of vacations with Hawaiian lore, cultural tid-bits and unforgettable memories of the Big Island and it’s natural wonders.
