I had tea on my birthday with some friends. JoAnn, our tea maven, is fantastic. She had lovely tea sandwiches, scones sweet and savory, several kinds of tea, a beautifully set table, AND a birthday cake. I can’t wait to go there again when my sister is here next month. Truly a gem in Hilo.

We did High Tea with the owner of Teaching Tea, Jo (a.k.a. Our Tea Sommelier) and she is awesome! Her knowledge of teas is unsurpassed and the stories that she told us were hilarious! If you love (or even like) tea, stop by her shop and she’ll definitely take care of you!

My New «Favorite» place in Hilo! Plan a tea party for any occasion at Teaching Tea. It’s a lovely place hosted & operated by JoAnn A. She is a delight, full of Tea knowledge & her service is amazing! The sandwiches, scones, creams & teas are awesome! Go and plan a party soon or just stop by for a cup of tea! Oh, and the gifts & tea trinkets are heavenly.

Best place to have a group outing with your friends and family. Jo Ann’s tea parties are so much fun. You can schedule a tea talk, a tea party with desserts and more… Best of all you can have a chance to drink extraordinary teas from all over the world. I also love all the gift items. Always changing and makes the perfect gifts for those hard to purchase persons. Who doesn’t love tea!

Visited this cute new tea shop in Hilo. I found some wonderful blends of tea and so many tea related treasures. There are great prices and many items are handmade with a special touch of aloha. Special classes are offered throughout the month by the owner, JoAnn who kindly shared a wealth of information on tea. What a highlight on my vacation!
