Established in 1994.

Chris Owens designed and built his first home on the Big Island in 1978. Chris continued designing and building homes for the next 16 years and became the General Contractor of Owens Construction in 1994. In 2005, the company changed its name to East Side Builders, Inc.

East Side Builders has done both commercial and residential projects. Chris Owens’s interest in designing and building homes lead to the idea of offering package homes to the public.
