What an awesome neighborhood coffee house. I go here nearly every day and am treated very warmly and it feels like home. Great staff and management. Makes SB’s truly feel like a chain in comparison.

Great coffee!!! My husband and I buy coffee here almost everyday but lately we’ve been driving all the way to the one in Cornelius to avoid the unfriendly costumer service. A few months back the old staff were nice and friendly. Now the staff that’s there give you this awkward silence and make you feel guilty for even going there, it’s a bit disappointing!!!

Where did all the nice staff go??? I used to come here to have great coffee and happy smiles. Now they still serve good coffee but all the smiles were gone. It wasn’t based on my only one visiting– my fourth time actually. Instead of «Good morning, How are you?», they now start saying by «What do you want to order?» And the awkwardly silence begins. It doesn’t kill anyone to ask how the customers doing. Since I have been working in customer service field for 4 years, I feel like it’s not only necessary to greet the customers nicely but it also helps creating friendly environment for both sides. Anyway, I am not gonna return here for a while when the Insomia coffee is just 2 more minute driving.

I love that this place has indoor seating making it an actual coffeehouse rather than just drive thru(I think this is the only location in all of Oregon with indoor seating). All of my experiences have been great. While the drinks may come off a little sweeter than other places, you can ask for half of syrup/whatever sweetener used in your drink if applicable. I like the punch card system and love the availability of 4 different drink sizes(8, 12, 16, 18oz) for all of my level of caffeine needs.

If you like your coffee to taste great and are tired of going somewhere where the coffee taste like it’s been burnt all day long this is the place to go. Never have I had a bad experience here and the Batista’s are extremely friendly.

NORESTROOMAVAILABLE. Building was built with one, and it is signed, but locked at staff have no keys. Suggestion is to use Goodwills across parking lot.

This was the first Human Bean I went to. It’s nice that they have an indoor seating area — other Human Beans do not. The coffee is good and they seem to have more pastry options than other locations but maybe that’s because it is in a bigger display. Human Bean is my favorite place for hot drinks. I normally get the Irish crème breve. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit troublesome due to the one way streets in the area but that’s not their fault. 4 stars.

Sometimes I just want an 8 oz coffee and I want it to be flavorful. Thank you, Human Bean, for giving that to me! It’s hard to find places that’ll do a small drink like that, and I get why, but I can’t have more than 8 oz sometimes. I really appreciate the option.

I moved into Hillsboro last year and feel in love with this place. they never messed up my drink and the code was really good, even black. However, they closed for a month. when they re-opened the code was gross. I was really disappointed, nite I need to find a new coffee house.

Came in around 8 pm for my first time. It was around 8 pm on a Thursday and was pretty dead. One of the baristas looked like she was busy gossiping with another customer and there was one other older gentleman sipping his coffee in the corner. Another employee came out of the back to help me. I ordered a blended white chocolate mocha which is apparently called a snowy mocha at the human bean. He had it ready in less than a minute and added a big coffee bean on top. For $ 3.75 it’s a fair price. I usually always leave a dollar tip at coffee shops but this place similar to Starbucks doesn’t give you the option to add a tip on the receipt.

Coffee was delicious, but there were hardly any outlets to charge my devices and the wifi isn’t as fast/barely works, so going there to do homework wouldn’t be a very great idea. Baristas were very welcoming and nice.

I LOVE this place! !! The drinks are always great, the barristas are professional, music is always awesome, atmosphere perfection. With a relaxed atmosphere and free Wi Fi, this has been my grading/studying/doing homework place for years.. it’s the only place I can actually concentrate in. If you don’t quite have a specific drink in mind, ask your barista for suggestions and they’ll come up with something great. There are tons of flavor options and they also offer different kinds of milk for vegan customers. The teas, pastries, bagels, and other food items are fairly diverse as well. Now that I’m done with grad school my only regret is not hanging out here as often!

apparently it is now company policy to charge fifty cents extra for a splash of soy or other non dairy milk in your Americano. cow secretions are free of course. I’m done.

Wish this place could be consistent. There drinks are good but on the first occasion they allowed me to split a small drink into 2 cups so I could give to my kids and avoid wasting the excess. They can’t drink a whole kids small. But the second time the girl refused to do it and said they don’t allow it. I simply said no thank you and went to another place which was very happy to meet my request and accept my payment. Will keep going there from now on.

If ever I find myself in Hillsborito and I need coffee, this is where I head. It is in the same parking lot as my Ear, Nose and Throat Doc so I stop in when I visit him. Their drinks are good and I love the chocolate covered coffee bean! That little extra makes me smile, no one else offers it and it is such a cheap little add on, everyone should do it. The gals/guys whom I have encountered has always been nice and happy, no complaints from me. Their prices are reasonable and mid-range.

THe coffee is great, the service is great! I recommend trying the«Snowy Mocha» formerly known as «Snowy Mt. Ashland» named after a mountain in Southern Oregon where the coffee stand originated from. I love that you get a chocolate covered coffee bean with each cup. And, they have Smith Tea’s(Portland, OR local) and they are delicious! If you are debating between the chains of starbuck’s and Einstein’s, I recommend giving Human Bean a try!

So, sometimes they serve me decently good drinks. Other times they are way to sweet(even when I ask for less), or sometimes just not very flavorful. The Irish Cream Breve is probably by favorite. Their coffee tastes pretty good if you add in cream and sugar. In the end I would rather have Dutch Bros or Starbucks. I do really like that they offer a student discount. Just show an ID for $ 0.50 off any drink, even their $ 1.75 coffee, which makes prices very reasonable. Also, any 16 oz drink is only $ 2 from 5pm to 9pm. They have double punches on Wednesday. Also, very cute and delicious that they add that chocolate covered coffee bean to the top of the drink. I also like that this location supports local artists by selling some of their art in store. They support local organizations as well by providing a large bulletin board and seemingly being very open to posting flyers and allowing information to be left for customers. Everyone has always been pretty friendly, but I just don’t think their specialty drinks are that wonderful, whereas other places are.
