It’s a shame, I used to like this place. However, when I went yesterday, it was horrible! Like some of the previous reviews mentioned, they charge $ 10.90 for short rib Teriyaki, but only give you few tiny pieces(1 rib cut into 3 or 4 small pieces). I also ordered Chicken Katsu since it’s weekend, was $ 8.50 ver $ 6.90 during weekday lunch. The owner told me I will get 15% more chicken so I said ok. When I got the food, it was like a joke. They cut the Chicken Katsu into ~0.3 to 0.4 cm each piece, and some pieces just have the breading and no chicken!!! OMG! Oh yeah, as for the free Egg flower soup, they put so much corn starch in it. It’s disgusting too…

I just went here for lunch based on the great Google reviews but it was very disappointing. I ordered the General Tso chicken which was not good at all. Actually, it was pretty TERRIBLE. It was bland and not spicy like it’s supposed to be. The breading was soggy and had a weird texture to it, like maybe it was previously frozen. The sauce was very jelly-like and bland. Even the rice was dry almost crispy. I didn’t even eat the small side salad which was obviously from a cheap iceberg lettuce mix. Honestly, after eating a bit of it I’m hoping that I won’t get sick. I’m not sure what their other dishes are like, but I would guess that they are of the same quality as what I had.

Really love this place, food is always fresh delicious and not too expensive. Staff is friendly and the free soup is always a plus.

I had ordered the C7, which is the chicken and short ribs teriyaki. It was $ 11. I got 3 tiny pieces of short rib. That’s just 1 short rib cut into three pieces? Well maybe the chicken will make up for it… unfortunately not. It was rather dry): I really wanted to like this place because it’s a local with fair reviews but I just can’t. On the bright side, I got free egg flower soup! Which is the reason for the second star, but I don’t think I will be coming back.

I really like this place. The free soup is good and includes some veggies; not just broth. I really like that you can get chicken breast instead of the typical thigh meat most places serve. Teriyaki sauce has a good flavor. My daughter always gets the yakisoba and it’s good too. I’d never say I’ve had anything here that qualifies as «bland»…

Great teriyaki food! I try all the teriyaki restaurants in the Portland area. This is one of my favorite. Extremely friendly service. And some of the best gyoza i have ever had, and prices are pretty good.

Some of the best yakisoba around. From my subjective perspective, it’s perfect. The free soup is a huge plus also. Makes me feel welcome.

The restaurant is always perfectly clean and organized. Their food is consistently good, not to mention the free egg flower soup. The customer service is on point and their prices closely follow. Overall, this is a great lunch or dinner spot with quick service and delightful food. Definitely recommended!

Excellent and very friendly service. I really like free egg soup here. Spicy pork was really yummy, and, I will definitely come back again.

PROs — They had free soup, the décor felt opened and clean, the price was consistent with other teriyaki places, and the presentation was nice. CONS — The food was bland, the customer service wasn’t friendly, i felt like they were rushing us out the door, and they didn’t even say ‘have a nice day.‘ I won’t eat there again.

This was my first time here with my coworkers. It is a newer teriyaki place that was recently opened. The lady that took our service wasn’t very friendly and I felt like she wAs rushing us to order. It was our first time here and we were browsing the menu. The décor was nice and had a warm feel to it. The place had higher ceilings and plenty of seating and was very roomy. They have free egg flour soup if you dine in for free. I actually liked the egg drop soup. I had the spicy chicken and my friends had the chickens teriyaki. The flavor of their of was very bland. While I liked the way the food was presented the flavor was very lacking in my spicy chicken. My friends agreed and said the same thing about the food, very bland. I am probably not coming here again unless it’s a last resort and no other place was open.

The few things I liked about the place was the staff was very friendly and I like the décor of the restaurant. Their 10 minute wait was really 40. As far as the food goes you can definitely tell most of their products were delivered frozen. I think this is the first time I’ve seen lima beans in fried rice. you can tell that they used a scoop of frozen vegetables medley right off the shelf to make this dish. Weird. They also use the same frozen vegetable medley to throw in the General Chicken Dish. I have never seen vegetables like this in generals chicken. Lastly I’m not sure if the white stuff inside the breaded chicken was chicken or if it was a bread ball. This review is only applicable to their breaded chicken with fried rice dishes. I won’t return.

Very Friendly People. Fresh Food. Large portions. Tastes Great. Reasonably Priced. I ordered a combination plate to go, and it was alot of food. But not too much as I had a big apetitie. I am looking forward to my next visit.

A pretty good teryiaki place for lunch. Best deal is the lunch menu in my opinion. Flavors and portions are good and quality is on the higher end for restaurants of this type. I could do without the salad on the plate and they could improve that if they used something other than iceberg lettuce. The complimentary soup is ok. It was a bit heavy on onions, but tasty. I’m sure I will be back.

I found this place today as I stopped at the Local petsmart to see the kitties. They have good food. They give you free egg drop soup, it is good soup, not great but good. The food portions are large. I mean really large. The salad is a little weird, and I try to not get it. I would rather they served rice with everything. I am definitely coming back here as it is a good place to eat.

Is this place the finest oriental food I have ever had? No. BUT is it good? YES. In fact, the free egg drop soup is really amazing – not greasy, just good, and you can have all you like! The Mongolian beef was huge, with two scoops of rice and a side salad. For a fast food style restaurant, they also waited on us hand and foot, encouraging us to have more soup. We ordered two meals, but should have split one because they are huge. It’s nice to have new options in Hillsboro.

It’s always nice to have new lunch options near work. My friend and I came here for lunch and I had the lunch Chicken Katsu and she had the short ribs. Both were good and portions were huge! The lunch size was only $ 6.90 and I had enough leftovers for another meal. The Chicken Katsu was breaded just right and crispy. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good. You get a self serve Egg Flower soup when you dine in. Great place for lunch!

Wife found this place recently and got take out twice now. Mix of Japanese and Chinese style dishes. Salad is good. So far have tried chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef and hot & spicy beef — all were good. Portions are generous. Rice is a little on the dry side(more Chinese style). Looking to try the short ribs and egg drop soup next.

Very friendly folks, good food and easy parking compared to other places nearby. Great for a quick lunch that’s not«fast food».
