At first, it all seemed ok. Being a first time patient, there was significantly less paperwork than other places I’ve been to, and when you feel like you’re dying, this is a plus.
Based on the looks of my throat, my body aches and fever, I already knew I had strep. It was a no brainer.
There were two patients in front of me that went back about 15 minutes earlier than I did. Far less busy than what I would have expected, but now I think I know why…
When I got back, I had told the nurse my concerns, she did a strep culture and said the doctor would be back shortly.
Over THIRTY MINUTES LATER, he comes in and starts talking about, «it sounds like it’s the flu.» Huh?
He asked me twice if I had diarrhea. The answer is still no, dude.
He checked literally everything BUT my throat, which was the only thing I wrote down as my ailment. {for the record, I understand that he would need to check other things too. But still.}
I diverted his attention back to my throat and he said, «hmmm… Still sounds like the flu.» Really?
He started rummaging for a throat swab and I told him the nurse already did a culture. Like, how did you not check on that before coming in here? What took nearly 40 minutes on a non-​busy afternoon?
He came back with, surprise, surprise! The strep throat diagnosis. Suddenly, it was as if he never mentioned that it sounded like the flu.
The office forgot a couple of papers upon my exit and I had to remind them again, even though I had done so not even 5 minutes before.
The whole experience was unprofessional and had my questioning if I should have just gone to the hospital in the first place, which is where I ultimately ended up. My strep had become so enraged that I needed steroids and a penicillin shot, in addition to potassium pills, as my labs indicated they were far too low and my blood pressure and pulse rate were too high.
I won’t go back there again. Maybe they can work on getting their shiz together in the meantime. It is a convenient location, after all.

I had to visit as a walk-​in for some pretty severe pain from a lower back injury. My paperwork and wait time combined was about 15 minutes and the nurse who checked me in and the nurse practitioner that saw me were both attentive and helpful. Problem was properly diagnosed and I am in far less pain tonight thanks to their knowledge and skill. Thanks!

Signed in at 10:25 am. The waiting room was freezing, at 53 degrees, one of the staff members came over and fussed with the thermostat. The temperature had risen one degree by the time I walked out at noon, still unseen by anyone.
There were people ahead of me who said they had signed in at 10:05. There was still one person ahead of me who had not been called back, the receptionist said it would be 20 minutes before they got to me… this is just to get to an exam room, mind you. So add another 20 – 30 minutes before laying eyes on a doctor.
I have bronchitis, I know I do, I’ve had it before. I need a Zpack and some cough medicine. I could have gone to the Doctor’s West ER and be seen faster. I came home to hope for a quiet death, and I will call my GP in the morning to be seen by noon, if I survive the night.
NO STARS FOR YOU! Ok, a half star for the staff person who found me a cup and some water. No bubbler in the lobby.
Suggestions:
Hire some nurse practitioners to speed things up. The weekends will always see a greater flow of patients so schedule accordingly.

Super friendly staff. Highly recommend coming here. I was in and out in no time even filling out new patient info.

In and out within 20 – 25 (if that) minutes. That includes paperwork, weigh-​in, pre dr person visit, dr visit and prescriptions. Pretty good if I do say so myself.

I took my wife to ExpressMed Urgent Care for some pretty intense shoulder pain. I did not call ahead as it was pretty close to my house.
Once we completed all of the necessary paperwork (thanks HIPPA) we were seen by a doctor inside of 20 minutes. Now I have to be honest, I was skeptical when I heard his diagnosis. While I have no medical training, what he stated as the problem just did not feel right. I told my physical therapist what he diagnosed and suggested to alleviate the discomfort. She responded, «If he is correct, what he asked her to do for treatment is right on the money.» We followed his directions to the letter and it completely took care of the pain and range of motion limitations within a few days.
Their staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean and had a large waiting area, so you did not feel like you were sitting right on top of others.
I would highly recommend ExpressMed Urgent Care to anyone needing to get in and out quickly while getting an accurate diagnosis and course of action.

The local billboards say that you’ll be in and out in 30 minutes. Believe it!
When my foot was hurting on the weekend, I really didn’t want to wait until Monday to see my primary care physician, nor did I want to pay a crazy co-​pay for the emergency room.
This facility was relatively new to me, I found it via a Google Search and it appeared to be the closest urgent care facility to my house.
First, I called ahead — it’s not required but it’s a good idea, because they can tell you how busy they are. When I arrived, I signed in and they had a big atomic clock right by the sign-​in desk, so I didn’t have to ask what time it was, or what the date was. They have plenty of comfortable, spaced-​out seating in the waiting areas and a water cooler. A standard doctor’s office collection of newspapers and magazines. When you’re stressed out and in pain, it’s the little things that help.
I was surprised to find that they offer digital X-​rays in-​house (90 seconds until they’re on the screen!), which is a time-​saver, as I’ve had to either go elsewhere for X-​rays in some facilities in the past, or wait an inordinate amount of time for film X-​rays — not fast.
I was in-​and-​out in about 45 minutes, with my prescription in-​hand. The time ended up being longer than 30 minutes, as I ask a lot of questions and there were X-​rays involved.
The next day, before I went to go to my primary doctor for a follow-​up, I called ExpressMed to ask for the radiology report. Not only did they gladly offer this report to give to my doctor, but also offered a digital copy of the X-​rays on CD, which I believe helps with continuity of care.
Their hours are daily 8am to 8pm, which is great if you have a problem on the weekend, or after hours. I also found them willing to work with my insurance, and their initial paperwork was only three pages — one of which was a HIPPA release form. Not bad!
Clean, welcoming, comfortable, comprehensive and fast.
Would highly recommend this facility, especially if you’re in the area.
