History

Established in 2013.

At the turn of the 20^th century, the Heflebower family came to Colorado and settled in the Arkansas River Valley. Over one hundred years later, the family operates a funeral business in the south Denver metro. The Heflebowers have deep Colorado roots for the past five generations, Heflebower Funeral Services is a «Heart» based, family owned company. We are a full service funeral and cremation provider, working with all religions, churches and cemeteries throughout the metro area. We are operated by a multi-​state, nationally certified funeral director and embalmer with over 27 years of experience in all aspects of the industry.

Our goal is to serve families with generosity of spirit and care to all in need. Our prices are realistic and reasonable. The location is a comfortable place for families to gather and remember. We are not a «Big Box» funeral provider, therefore we can take the time to consider each family’s need for the personalizing of their services.

Meet the Business Owner

Mike H.

Business Owner

Born in Alaska and raised in Texas and Nebraska, Mike has been in the funeral industry for over 27 years. He studied at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, where he played football and met his wife, Tammy (Saville) before graduating from Mortuary School in Kansas City in 1990. Mike became nationally certified when he passed the National Board in 1990 and became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Nebraska in that same year. He has worked in all facets of funeral service including Funeral Directing, Embalming, Management, Cemetery, monuments, pre-​planning, merchandising, marketing and public relations. He holds the title of CFSP — Certified Funeral Service Practitioner since 1997 from the National Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and also completed the Fountain National Academy of Professional Embalming Skills Education. Mike is currently at CMSP in Colorado.
