Great little place in Highlands Ranch. Good variety on the menu, & really unique toppings & sides. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Try the fried mac-n-cheese!

Great staff and great food. I had the Rattlesnake and Pheasant sausage with the Desert topping and it was delicious. Fried pickles and fried Mac n cheese were also perfect… first fried pickles I ever had that weren’t over salted. Staff was friendly and helpful and even offered a military discount. Definitely going back!

I’ve been wanting to try this place forever, so my coworker and I stopped in last week for lunch, it was such a pleasant surprise! I got the Elk Jalapeño Cheddar dog with El Diablo topping, it was so yummy. I loved that they had separate toppings over by the drink area to load up with whatever else your heart may desire(although the dog comes pretty piled on with goodies as it is). They have a unique soda brand that I can’t recall the name of, but I thought was cool. Their buns were awesome as well. Can’t wait to return and make my way around the menu– especially to try that Graham Cracker Porter I spotted!!!

Wow what a great place! The guys taking our order explained everything and gave us some awesome recommendations. I like going to a restaurant where the people working there have pride in what they server. The food was awesome! We had the Jake-a-Lope topped with the Conspiracy and Alaskan Reindeer with fried mac and cheese and fried pickles. We can wait to come back and try more! If you are on fence or want something a little different this is the place.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. This place is my JAM! I had the BAT dog and an elk jalapeño cheddar dog with cream cheese and onion. Both were insanely good. The sausages are top notch – snappy and flavorful. The elk was especially good. Highly recommend!

Yum! I don’t even remember exactly what I ordered(it was a few weeks back), but I do remember drooling for more later! Well, that’s not true, I did order a side of the fried Mac’n’cheese and holy wow. Not something one could forget, hopefully ever! I take six orders of that, stat. My only complaint would be the temperature in the actual restaurant… we were there on a particularly cold evening, I think it might’ve been even colder in the restaurant. Several people, including ourselves, took the orders to go(when they otherwise wouldn’t have) so we could eat in the warmth of our cars. The girl at the register said they turn the heat way down because the guys in the kitchen are warm. Well… customers first? Maybe? Just a recommendation. I’ll be back though!

Been a dog eater all my life. Ate off Jim’s cart the first time some 10 years ago. His brick and mortar storefront in HR was genius. Although I think that Fab Dogs in the SFV of LA is truly the tits on the hog when it comes to dog-eating, Biker Jim’s has the same flair and creativity for their menu. My latest fave is their duck sausage prepared sonara style. They do have a bacon wrapped dog called a BAT Dog, but it’s a far cry from a true authentic LA Street Dog. I would like to see Jim get a similar version and also delve into the world of rippers with spicy cabbage and mustard slaw topped with additional horseradish mustard. Get those items menuized and it’s worthy of 5 stars and a 3 times a week visit schedule.

Friendly staff that helped a first timer out with their order. The cashier explained everything which is a lot when you have so many exotic choices at a hot dog joint. They dogs are all ¼ pound so trying to take down two can be a daunting task. Went with the spicy jack a lope with the onions and cream cheese and it was great(5⁄5. Second dog was elk cheddar plain, and was not a fan(2⁄5).

They put such and fun and unique and delicious spin on hot dogs here! I tried the bat dog with a reindeer dog instead of the smoked brat and it was delicious. The combination of all the flavors was surprisingly perfect! He had the Louisiana red hot topped with el Diablo and he loved it as well. We also had a side of the fried mac and cheese, which was also really good! I dipped it in some sriracha and ketchup to really send it over the edge! We will definitely be back again to try some more of the crazy combos!

Biker Jim’s is like your neighborhood hotdog place 2.0. They have great beer, and a variety of toppings. Maybe you want a standard all beef hot dog with chili and cheese(although I find their chili a tad too sweet but that’s just personal opinion). Or maybe you want exotic game meat with fancy caramelized onions? They’ve got that too! My absolute favorite combo is the duck hotdog international style(caramelized apples with cheddar cheese and wasabi aoli? Yes please!) Great Boylan’s cane sugar sodas, amazing sides like fried mac and cheese or tahini roasted cauliflower and baked beans for simpler times. And my absolute favorite thing about this place: let’s say you are not in the mood to eat a hot dog the size of your head but your spouse is? Right next door is the Corner Bakery. Home of beautifully simple soups and salads. In our neck of the woods this location screams compromise that would otherwise land us at the mall food court.

Wow! This is probably one the most unique and exciting places I have ever eaten!!! At most restaurants, you’re lucky to find two or three truly unique offerings. But at Jim’s, just about everything on the menu is one of a kind! My husband and I started with one dog and one side for each of us. But we were so completely smitten that we went back for one more! Here’s a list of what we got and how we liked it… Rattlesnake and Pheasant El Diablo style — This was my husbands first choice. To tell the truth, the rattlesnake aspect made me nervous. But I can totally admit when I’m wrong — this thing was amazing!!! It ended up being my favorite of everything we tried. The dog had the perfect amount of kick and seasoning. I was also worried that the toppings might be too spicy for my tastes — nope! They’re the toppings I now want to put on everything! Fried Mac and Cheese — They are about the shape and size of those french toast sticks I remember getting in the school cafeteria. They were also a similar texture… which I wasn’t expecting. These were probably the only thing that I felt was disappointing. There wasn’t much as far as flavor goes — when it comes to mac and cheese, I want the cheesey goodness to punch me in the tastebuds! If you want delicious fried Mac and Cheese, go to Cheesecake Factory. Duck Cilantro Batman style — This was my first choice going in. I tried duck for the first time recently at Mission Taco in St. Louis and fell in love, so I figured it would be a good choice here. And it was nice, but definitely more mild when it comes to flavor. For this dog, the toppings really made it. The tomato cream cheese and bacon bits are what really made this dog a great experience. Tahini Cauliflower — Who knew?!? Who knew that cauliflower was meant to be roasted with tahini?!? The tahini brings a creamy sweetness to the salted cauliflower that is just beyond words. Do yourself a favor and order something different than chips or fries — eat cauliflower. Also, apparently the cauliflower comes with a salad… I don’t think the menu mentioned that, but that’s what they gave me. I didn’t eat it because I wasn’t crazy about the dressing and there were too many other amazing options in front of me. Jack-a-lope Conspiracy style — This was what my husband went back for. It’s jack rabbit and antelope and it’s spicey! A little bit too spicy for my tastes, but I’m sure most normal people would like it. However, the bleu cheese helped to cool it down and the fried onion rings added texture and crunch. This was definitely my husband’s favorite! I should also note the service was absolutely perfect!!! The girl at the counter was super patient and super helpful. She was very descriptive and had a lot of great ideas when it came to what dog paired nicely with what style. This location was perfect for us because we were on our way up to Denver from Colorado Springs. We also appreciated that is was pretty laid back and had it’s own parking lot. Although it’s not very big, being there at 2p on a Wednesday it wasn’t very busy, so we had no problem finding a comfortable place to sit.

Location, Location, Location!!! I am super happy I gave things another shot for Biker Jim’s. I was not aware there was an easier to get to location in Highlands Ranch mere moments from my office. On a friends convincing I went to this location because he’d never been. I was pleasantly surprised by the difference. I was shown what a bacon wrapped dog is supposed to look like. Wow, what a difference! I opted for simple. Beef Dog and decided to Coney it up this time. Still went with the Fried Mac and Cheese. The dog was cooked correctly and not burnt which made me a VERY happy girl. Also the addition of the Chili and other toppings took away a little of my lack of enthusiasm for excessive bread. I think a bunless option might be fun. LOL Dog Bowl! I also discovered that the addition of the Roasted Carrott Habanero sauce(ask for it) added a great little boost in flavor to the Mac and Cheese and who doesn’t love to dip! The Fried Pickles were really good as well, that’s how we found the sauce they come with goes great with the Mac and Cheese as well. The thing that really brought me to come back was a note from Jim about my review of his downtown location. He’s a great guy and is really all about making sure his customer’s are satisfied and really was interested in my feed back and suggestions. I will return to this location as it is convenient to my office and a great change up from the normal chains at «The Mall». Thanks for everything Jim! See you soon!

Delicious hot dogs! Lots of gamey meat choices like elk, reindeer and buffalo. They also serve rattlesnake, as well as pheasant and duck. I’ve tried just about everything except the standard beef dog. I live life on the edge. There are a variety of toppings to choose from with cool names like«the international» and«the conspiracy». Some fried pickles and $ 2PBR ‘s and you can’t go wrong. Enjoy!

My hubby and I are regulars at the LoDo Biker Jim’s location during baseball season and were delighted to find out that there was one not too far from our new house! We have tried it a couple of times and had a couple of different results. First time, the food was off. The bun was a bit hard, the elk jalapeño cheddar didn’t taste like elk, jalapenos or cheddar and everything was just OK. Still, we went back and the second time all seemed to be back to BJ’s top quality. The gentleman at the register even told us if we didn’t like anything just to let them know and they would get us something else. It is a friendly vibe and maybe they are just getting their footing in a new location. They do have a parking lot and it’s free(unlike LoDo). Plus they have some tables inside. Honestly here is where they lose a star for me(along with inconsistency), because they are filled with bars tools and 2 person table tops. In the land of families, this means a family of 4 comes in and spreads out across multiple tables and the place quickly fills up. They really need to add more 4 person table tops. Still, it is sausage heaven and not we can get it in the ‘burbs!

Somehow not as good as the Biker Jim’s downtown. I got my usual but it seemed kind of blah in comparison. My wife actually asked me if I had hers, which shows you how bland it was. Because we get 2 completely different kinds of meat :) Staff seemed nice and helpful. Didn’t see any beer on the menu or behind the counter, so that’s a loss of a star. I’m sure we’ll be back, and hope that this was just a one-off experience.

Won’t lie after trying a «gourmet» hot dog, I was a little leery with the concept.(See my other review). Found Biker Jim’s on Unilocal and immediately thought at least it sounds gourmet. Upon walking in the woman behind the counter greeted us and asked if this was our first time here. She reviewed the menu on the wall and asked what were looking for sweet, savory etc Yes, you can order the traditional beef dog, but they have a great menu for the risk taker. I chose the rattlesnake and pheasant. Love at first bite! It had the snap a good sausage needs. The row of spices tells me that they make things in-house. The guy who made my dog ate here once and was so moved he took a job here. They have a patio which has a beautiful view Thank you for restoring my faith in gourmet hotdogs.

Fantastic food and very friendly! I finally got a chance to try the famous Biker Jims and boy was i impressed. Being that I enjoy hot dogs but know nothing of gourmet hot dogs — the staff did a great job of explaining the menu. On top of the great hot dogs — the sides where awesome; from Mac N Cheese to fries to cauliflower. I’m also a Coke snob, but their fancy sodas were quite awesome — made with real sugar cane. I tried the diet soda and was impressed. Give this place a try!

I’m a huge fan of Biker Jim’s — Downtown, on the carts downtown and now this location. I’ve had the chance to order many different kinds of dogs on the menu my favorite and the one that I always come back to is the Reindeer dog. I always go classic with cream cheese and caramelized onions. If you want something with a kick go for the Elk Jalapeño Cheddar dog(there is a reason it showed up on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate) What I have recently discovered is the fried mac & cheese. I think it might just be the best thing on the menu. Wait, I think the Charred Tahini Cauliflower is the best thing on the menu. Wait, I think the reindeer dog is the best thing. I can’t decide — it’s all damn tasty and I’m not sure why I have to pick a favorite. Go with a group and order one of everything and give it all a try. You’ll see what I mean and thank me later. Oh, and the fried pickles were tasty too — so don’t forget those bad boys. The parking lot is a bit crazy and always seems to be full. The staff is awesome, friendly and very helpful. The back patio has a great view of the mountains.

Biker Jim’s made it to the ‘burbs, and we are all better for it. I have been a patron of the downtown location for several years. I also love the carts, both on the 16th street mall, and in their various trips to breweries and other locales. The all too short-lived food truck was a thing of beauty(I mean the paint job, and not just the food). Now, on those occasions when I am down in «The Ranch», I can also enjoy my favorite food here as well. The new location has been remodeled on the inside. It is a great space, serving the same wonderful food you expect from all of Jim Pittenger’s endeavors. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed a tasty dog(with my obligatory onions and cream cheese), a nice cold micro-brew, and I tried the fried mac and cheese. These little 2×4’s of lightly breaded crunchy, creamy, deep-fried goodness are a pleasure to consume. If you are on the south end of the metro area, make time to drop by and indulge your appetite.
