Our go to breakfast place, always leave happy and full for the price. George is the manager, nice guy! As soon as you get in, you get steaming buns. A lot of their meals come with an app and dessert. They have good deals too!

Went here for breakfast today. It’s as tho someone else owns or runs the restaurant. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy this morning. They slapped 3 biscuits on a plate poured some with liquid on top of it and served it. Come on guys. Cut your biscuits in half. Add some sausage to your gravy. For 6.99 you should give customers a little more love for the money. What happened to your guys. Breakfast used to be so good, now just another SGR. Will rethink about going back

This place is the bee’s knees. The cat’s bananas. The third phrase I can’t think of. I come to Round the Clock all the time with my friends. The burgers and BLT sandwiches and clubs are my favorites. Soups and salads are both great; it’s a tossup for which I’m gonna get with my meal each time. They should definitely have that soup with the potato chunks in it more often though!

About two Saturday’s ago, my family and I went to grab a bite to eat dinner for the first time and I was absolutely impressed by the restaurant itself and its workers. Firstly, I was amazed by the rustic atmosphere since it reminds me of my family’s cabin up in northern Minnesota. Second the hostess and our waiter were extremely nice, and the waiter was courteous, and got all of our orders right, and brought the food quickly and still warm. Thirdly the food was great and I ordered a Country steak with mashed potatoes and sausage gravy, which was to die for, and our waiter made sure we were all satisfied with our meals, and it was totally worth the 12.49 I paid for it. Other dinner options looked great too but I’m a picky eater so I was totally happy with my steak and potatoes. The fact that this place is open 24 hours a day makes me want to come in earlier and try their breakfast in which I heard was great. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who likes a good ‘ol rustic meal.

One great place to get your grub on! Anytime of the day, this restaurant has great breakfast, lunch and dinners! We have been coming here for over 10 years and not once we had a bad experience. The service is always great. They have great pancakes and skillets for breakfast. For lunch, I have to say the dinner rolls are homemade and are out of this world. The restaurant has plenty of parking in the front and in the back. By the way, they also have great pies! A slice is part of their dinners. I truly enjoy this restaurant. I hope you do too! #SeñorFood

Husband and I along with some friends ate dinner there last night. Our server(India) was outstanding even though she was relatively new. Our food arrived hot and was tasty. We all found the prices to be reasonable and clearly in line with the portions. We would return again.

Nice service but I went there with my friend and the server kept hitting on us and wouldn’t stop. It was really annoying when going there is our only time we can hangout because of our busy schedules.

I usually love Round the Clock’s lemon rice soup. I get a bowl every time I visit the Region. Unfortunately, this last trip the soup was horrible! I ended up throwing it away.

I’ve eaten here quite a bit in my lifetime so the star is based on good memories. Tonight this was a mess. It’s Friday night, late and there are some loud people in here. Grown women right behind us playing crappy music from their phone. «Oh my gosh that’s my jam!» I get it, it’s late and they are coming from the bar or something. They are singing in their booth the same song. Over and over again. I ordered the Lemon rice soup and I normally really like that. It was so salty I just couldn’t even. It was bad. It hurts me to say that. The waitress took it back. I got potato soup instead. Much better. I ordered the Italian beef which they didn’t have they said… So they gave me a philly with no pepper or cheese. Isn’t that an Italian beef!!! It was blah. Barely any meat at all. I paid way too much for this. It was fatty and crummy, sort of a half beef with full roll… I actually did cut it in half to put the rubber beef on one side. My hubby got biscuits and sausage gravy, but there was no sausage in the gravy. It was terrible. The gravy was what you would put on mashed potatoes and congealed. 3 full size biscuits not cut in half and not enough gravy. My hubby is a garbage disposal and he had one bite and was upset. The waitress got him something else. It was hash browns with American cheese slices on top of sausage with eggs. Looked gross but the hubby said it was much better. It was a bad night. At least the waitress was nice. It wasn’t her fault the food sucked and the patrons were idiots. We passed on dessert, we were so upset. Went to the register, talked to the manager and he took 7.00 off of our bill. I think he took off the crappy biscuits and gravy. Once we got home, both of us needed to use the bathroom :-(we are Ill. I feel sick.

Have been here several times over the years and had varying experiences. Food can range from delicious to ungodly; best meal of the day seems to be breakfast. Went in about a week ago for breakfast because I was in between appointments in the area. We were seated promptly, but the table was situated in such a way that I either had to sit on the same side as my husband or risk being mowed down by traffic in the aisle. I took my chances. Server was friendly but I don’t remember her stating her name. We both ordered the $ 3.99 breakfast special, which is quite nicely done. We, unfortunately, had to ask repeatedly for coffee and hot tea refills and that was surprising considering the number of folks wandering around with coffee pots. Our breakfast was quite tasty, but the place is so loud that we could barely communicate for the background noise. I’ll be back — just for breakfast — and hope that they will get over this apparent need to jam as many tables into the room as possible.

Typical diner food + complimentary dessert. Hearty portions. Came all the way from Chicago for this. Not really… visited my grandpa and ended up here. The atmosphere is pleasant. Looks better on the inside than the outside. A bit loud when you walk in but that’s because there were so many patrons. We were quickly seated and served. Overall a good experience. And a bonus… the Glenview butter on the flaky bread was delicious but maybe I’m biased cause the butter traveled nearly as far as I did.

Good family restaurant. The portions are decent size and just about every meal includes a soup and dessert. If you’re too full for dessert they do let you take it with you. Nice! Service is average. Some servers seem to enjoy the job more than others… But you have that anywhere. None I’ve had seem to go above and beyond or were all that enthusiastic. The highlight for me is the lemon rice soup! Delicious!!! One of the best in the area!

I keep trying to like this place, but except for its nice décor, it’s not managed very well. The staff isn’t nearly as friendly as you’d like to experience when you’ve decided to go out for breakfast, and the food is hit or miss. Def miss the biscuits and gravy.

First, the hostess seats us at a table that clearly was not cleaned — had used dishes and tip money still on it which she removed in front if us and placed menus down. We did not sit, told the manager and she sat us at another table. Waitress didn’t even introduce herself and barely opened her eyes(seemed to be under some drug influence). Waitress got my order wrong twice. She should have double checked my order the first time she got it wrong instead of quickly walking away. Then she brought out undercooked French toast. When I told her the French toast was undercooked, she told me this is the way it’s always done. Just take the Damn food away and apologize!!! That was the last straw. We then talked to the manager and left. At the very least, the coffee/water lady was pleasant.

Great for a quick stop while on the road. The fresh, warm bread was to DIE for. Everything else was standard. I ordered the chopped steak and eggs and the meat was not edible. It had the appearance and taste of ground up dog food. At first the waitress said I couldn’t switch it for something else and told me I could place an order for something else so I did. The manager addressed the situation and was extremely pleasant and didn’t charge me for the dog-meat steak.

Came all the way from myrtle beach for this. The main reason is the lemon rice soup. My wife loves it. I thought it was good but different. I got the Reuben suggested on here. The Reuben itself was alright but the dressing made it BANGING! Fries were fries. Service is what I read on here but it is 1 in the morning on a Thursday. Would come again for maybe breakfast.

We were seated quickly. Our waitress never introduced herself, so we were unsure of her name. We ordered and then proceeded to wait. She returned immediately to let me know the Pot Roast was sold out. I picked the pork chops. I chose the Greek-style. It took a little long for our food to come, so I was about to get up to check, since no one came to our table… but then our waitress appeared with all of our food at one time. Fried Mozzarella Cheesesticks were fine. My wife got her burger — a hockey puck really, dry and no juice. Greek-style porkchops, with greek sauce drizzled over the top(seem to be fine, not exactly what I expected.) My son got his chicken strips(most likely frozen, deep-fried strips, he didn’t like them anyway) and french fries that weren’t really cooked all the way. We never received our salads. I did receive some brown broccoli and a mound of mashed potatoes w/gravy(which had the consistency of a powdered mix). Our waitress came back and asked how everything was — I told her the mashed potatoes were awful and don’t taste like mashed potatoes at all, my broccoli was brown and mushy and was the worst thing I have ever ate, and that we never received our salads. She said, «Okay…» — then took the broccoli and potatoes away and never came back again for the rest of the night. Another lady, not dressed in yellow like the other waitresses came to our table to say, «Hi, how ya doin?» We responded, «We’re okay.» My wife then proceeded to ask, «Are you the manager?» She replied«Yes.» Why wouldn’t she just say that when she said hello to us? Anyway I explained to her we weren’t having a good experience here. She apologized and asked what was wrong. I told her about my two items sent back, she said, «I saw the broccoli and it looked wilted.» It was brown. You don’t serve brown broccoli. Doesn’t anyone«look» at the food before giving it to the Customer? Someone must have when you had photos taken and placed in the menus, right? She asked if I wanted a replacement because there was a new cook now, I really don’t want any more food from you now. She then returned to remove $ 5 from our bill. I was happy she acknowledged there was a problem, but $ 5? I really feel like the experience just got worse from there because no one wanted to refill our drinks, the waitress never returned the rest of the night, she assumed how my wife wanted her burger cooked because on the receipt it stated«well done» and my wife never told her anything, which would explain the hockey puck consistency of the burger. We were going to check out and I had my receipt in hand at the front register near the door, but no one was there. The Manager we talked with earlier had stepped into the washroom. I then had to wait for her to return since it seemed none of the other 4 waitresses could help check us out and take our money. When she left the washroom, I heard another waitress tell her there was a line and she didn’t believe her, but behind me were two other tables also wanting to checkout. I think almost 10 minutes went by with just me standing at the front register. All in all, it was not a pleasant experience, we will NOT be returning, we will NOT recommend Round the Clock to our friends and family and when I posted on my Facebook page about our bad experience, I had several friends tell me my first mistake was dining at Round the Clock and my second mistake was dining at the Hammond location… so is there a reputation that I should be aware of? I would appreciate a reply. Like I said earlier, I do not believe we would want to return to experience the Round the Clock a second time, but hoping you can make the situation right. Thank you — James Goodman

Walked to the bar to eat breakfast had to wait 6 minutes before someone asked me if I’ve ordered yet. Ordered French toast, was okay could’ve been more sweeter. Had to listen to the waitresses talk about each other. Was an interesting experience! Won’t sit at the bar again when I go by myself

Oh, Round the Clock, how I love you! We have been coming to RTC for several years and have never had a bad experience. My kids order the Lemon Rice Soup and love the complimentary, fluffy rolls that they use to dip into the soup. I usually order a sausage and cheese omelet or a taco salad. Both are equally delicious and come in portions that I usually am unable to finish. We go enough that we are greeted at the door by George as if we are being welcomed into his home for dinner. «Thank you for not cooking,» is their catch phrase and I’m happy to say, «You’re welcome!» quite often!
