At In Home Music Lessons I am now offering ½ Hour «pay as you go» Music lessons (Piano-Clarinet-Flute-Saxophone.) at $ 40.00 and Hourly $ 60.00. This is a pay as you go plan No contracts, No hassles and No headaches. However if you decide to continue with a weekly lesson contract I can discount $ 10.00 off each rate ($ 30.00 & 50.00) The only two polices that I do require is a twenty four (24) hour cancellation notice and «pay as you go» lessons are cash only payment. I am a Berklee College of Music performance major and can really show you some methods on how to improve your Tone production, technique and improvisation skills. I teach both Classical and jazz (Contemporary-Early Swing-Dixieland) styles and techniques. This is a fun and fresh approach to learning to play so that you can perform with a contemporary musical ensemble whether that be Classical or playing the blues. I can get your Child get camp ready to take that next step in his development. Topics include 1) Breathing, 2) Tone production. 3) Articulations. 4) Scales. 5) Chords. 6) understanding chord symbols. 7) Melodic and harmonic analysis. James Gentry began his Musical career studying Classical Clarinet while attending High School in Indianapolis Indiana with Achille Rossi of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestral. James went on to play principal Clarinet in and around the state of Indiana in many of the fine youth Orchestra’s and Concert Bands. He went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston Ma. Where he continued his Clarinet Studies with Andre Lizzott (Principal Clarinet Boston Opera Co.) James was a performance major while attending Berklee. James refined his improvisational skills with the likes of Legendary woodwind dept heads Joe Viola and John Laporta. He also studied arranging and jazz composition with Herb Promeroy and James Williams (Art Blakey Jazz Messengers.) And Non– Functional Harmonic Techniques with the dean of advanced harmony techniques Paul Schelling (Sarah Vaughan.) James also plays Tenor Saxophone and flute and was apart of the many fine recording bands while attending Berklee. James has r
