Bob Shrago Design and Buld Co. saved my butt!!! My buyer walked out on a contract to sell my home after a 63 page inspectors report on ¹²⁄₁₅. I found Bob through a friend. He said you can nothing and get your price tag chewed up or fix all health and safety issues along with as much as the cosmetics as you want. Understand this project took place during Christmas and New Yeats holiday. I had guys grouting and doing plumbing on Sun dec 27^th. Everyone of his guys were professional, polite and clean! Over the next 2 months we spent about $ 10,000 on improvements. The home sold within a month. I recovered 75% of the improvements and an extra $ 5000 on selling price. I managed conventions at McCormick Place for over twelve years. These people are hard workers who do quality work. PS Reviewer Rob D. has another motive and maybe its just litigation or no life. Bob thanks to you and your crews for a great job.

My experience with Robert Shrago was terrible. He gave me a ridiculously high bid on a gut rehab of my home in Winnetka. He then started work without a signed contract and tried to collect from me by calling multiple multiple times and threatening me. Several of the subcontractors that I eventually used through another general contractor had bid on the project at the request of Schrago and eventually worked on the project for a fraction of the cost of what he was going to charge me.
I suspect he could’ve done the job but at a ridiculous price.
I learn through other general contractors of Shrago’s very poor reputation on the North Shore. There were some items taken from the worksite which I suspect Shrago took but I cannot confirm this.
I am not sure why my earlier posted review (which another reviewer directly addresses) was removed. I suspect that it is more of Shrago’s efforts at deception… I advise you to look for other recommendations if you use him.

Shrago Design and Build is a first class company providing excellent service and quality to all their clients. I have worked with them professionally and for my private residence for years. They are the first I recommend to any of my friends, family and clients. I highly recommend them for any new construction or remodel work. Reasonable prices and top notch craftsmanship!
