Joel K.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Joel S. Klein received his B.A. from Northwestern University and an M.S. in Physiology from University of Illinois — Urbana prior to medical school. He received his M.D. from University of Health Sciences/​The Chicago Medical School, where he graduated with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His residency training was in internal medicine at Rush Presbyterian — St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Klein’s training in pediatric and adult allergy/​immunology was a 3-​year fellowship at Mayo Clinic during 1992 – 1995. Since 1995, he has been in clinical practice in the north suburban Chicago area.

Dr. Klein is a past president of the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and is currently the society’s historian. He has a faculty appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rush Medical College and gives monthly lectures on allergy/​immunology since 1997 to medical students, interns and residents at Skokie Hospital
