BJC focuses on partnering with non-​profit organizations, for-​profit companies, and individuals and families looking to utilize gripping documentary filmmaking to tell their unique stories. Productions are often used as fundraising and instructional tools on television, the Internet, and at festivals.

With strong ties coast-​to-​coast, BJC has a reputation for effective human-​interest storytelling and interpersonal communication. These skills, mixed with a solid grip of filmmaking and firm emphasis on production quality, allow Bitter Jester to help companies raise money and awareness while simultaneously entertaining audiences and promoting good-​will toward their client’s charitable and business goals.

History

Established in 2001.

On January 19^th, 2001, long-​time writing partners Nicolas DeGrazia and Charles Turck co-​founded Bitter Jester Entertainment, Ltd (BJE) to produce their already successful original sketch comedy troupe, The Comic Thread, as well as several original short films. With aspirations including additional video and film productions, still photography, and continued stage and screen writing and direction, BJE expanded its horizons.

Charles (then a newly-​licensed pharmacist holding a Pharmacy Doctorate from Midwestern University) sold his shares in BJE to Daniel Kullman, a long-​time creative collaborator and close personal friend of Nicolas and Charles. In November of 2003, Nicolas and Daniel opened the first BJE office in downtown Highland Park, IL.

On January 1^st, 2007, «Bitter Jester Entertainment, Ltd.» became «Bitter Jester Creative, Inc,» a company focused on high-​end corporate and commercial media packages and personal legacy (family history/​documentary) video production.
