High Point University

My school rocks! This is my senior year and i am so sad to leave. If you have ever thought of going here, do yourself a favor and go take a tour your will fall in love.

Yes, this Campus is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but don’t let that be your deciding factor. The majority of the students are wealthy, entitled, spoiled and disrespectful. I graduated 8 years ago, and although those four years were the BEST of my life, things are not the same. There is a HUGE cocaine problem on the campus now. I am so sad about this. My cousin left last year, after two years because she just felt that she didn’t fit in. Her sorority sisters treated her awfully because she expressed her feelings about the widespread cocaine use throughout the campus, especially in the sororities and fraternities. Also, there is hazing that goes on as well. This was a girl that left home to attend High Point, soo excited and enthusiastic. She now attends a small school close to home, but the experience left her very shaken, and did quite a number on her self confidence. I was so proud to recommend it to her and three of her friends;(none of them still attend) I now regret it and am no longer proud to tell people about HPU. Administration needs to be more selective on who they admit to this once FANTASTIC school, and WAKE UP to the drug culture going on right under your noses

You never have a second chance to make a great first impression! What a great first impression — did not disappoint.

The faculty here is top notch, providing tons of office hours and time after class to make sure their students are actually learning and understanding the material.
My favorite class so far has been free markets and capitalism taught by Dr. Crofton. The material is very interesting and the way the class it taught is easy to understand. Also I was able to read Atlas Shrugged in this class which was an extremely influential book for me.

Pristinely beautiful campus. Feels like being at Disney World! I took a tour following a lacrosse clinic my son attended here. Very impressive facility. The surrounding neighborhood area is extremely depressed however.

Wow. That has to be the first word anyone says when they walk onto this campus. The attention to detail is almost Disney like down to the classical music piped in throughout the campus. The new buildings on campus are breath taking in design and function. The furniture in the buildings are more like show rooms than typical college. The students appeared to dress neatly and my daughter noticed a few Vera Bradley bags. The school is not big, and the (engnimatic) president said 5000 would be the max students for the school. This is definately not a typical college and looks to offer and excellent experience. We will be applying in the Fall.
