Beyond disappointing! Ordered through FTD, the biggest arrangement of this particular bouquet. The flowers came with half as many, mostly green leaf filler, no baby’s breathe (every florist has that on hand) and no ribbon on the vase as pictured. How someone sent that out is disgraceful, it did live up to what was pictured at all. This is supposed to be your business and your product that you’re sending out and clearly they don’t care and will send out anything. They finally strolled in with a replacement arrangement later today and were barely apologetic and asked for the first sparse arrangement back!.This was my first and last time using this florist and will be sure to discourage anyone is my office from using them again.

Buyer beware. Poor quality product shipped to customer (via 1800flowers) that was not anywhere identical to what was ordered. When asked, business informed me that they had the authority to change orders as necessary based on what they have in inventory without notifying customer — 1800flowers disagreed. Submitted photos to 1800flowers and refund issued. Total waste of time. Will never do business with either again.

I wish I could give this place a big fat ZERO!!! I guess 1800– flowers generates business for them because they will never make it on their own, they suck!!! It was my sisters birthday I called 1800-​flowers, they contacted this crappy place and sent my sister flowers that was addressed to someone else. After several calls to 1800 flowers they assured me they were going to get the order right this time. Hicksville flowers delivered the flowers but told my sister to give back the three day old flowers or else she will not get the flowers that were for her. My sister explained after receiving the wrong flowers she called Hicksville flowers and they told her to discard the flowers. The drivers got back in the car and never delivered the flowers that were addressed to her. They are the worst, Buyer beware!

Hicksville Flowers, honestly a really great florist. I had an incident with an order that was sub contracted out to Hicksville Flower, it came from a company on the internet (Ava’s Flowers), I ordered flowers and a teddy bear for my daughter who was in the hospital giving birth. Hicksville flowers delivered the order and the Teddy bear was missing. After calling Ava’s flowers and getting the run around, for over a week and getting me really pissed off, I finally decided to call Hicksville Flowers, the woman on the phone explained that she didn’t know who made the mistake, she told me Ava’s flowers called, there was a bad connection and never called back… any way, the woman form Hicksville flowers decided to take matters into her own hands and deliver the Teddy Bear… my daughter received it the same day… and I am a happy customer… now any time I need flowers… Hicksville Flowers will be the only florist I call… Thanks Hicksville Flowers.

Terrible customer service and unreliable. They don’t even have a great selection. Store opens at 9am. The worker wouldn’t open the door for me because the boss was running late. I’ve already paid for everything, all I need is to pick up my flowers.

This was the Most embarrassing floral piece our family has ever sent !
It was supposed to be 30″ tall with a fall colored break. It was 18″ tall and the break was very inexpensive. The florist charged us $ 150 and when we complained about it he said we were cheap !!!

Another Unilocal fail for me. (I should have read the previous reviews) Before reading reviews for this place I was in a hurry to get Mother’s Day flowers and this was on my way home. After walking in I tried to talk to one of the workers about what I wanted and a price range, the woman was very curt and impatient with me. IM SORRY BUT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME FOR ME BEING IN A FLORIST. I didn’t know what the hell to do and she wasn’t much help. They had a ton of carnations (blech) and not much else to choose from. A lot of the flowers did not look fresh and healthy.
At one point she pointed to a big flower piece and said it will look like that, but smaller and I explained to her that I don’t like it looking all busy with all the different flowers that I like to keep it simple with only two kinds. I picked out two flowers that I liked (purple and yellow) and she took a few stems from each and brought them to the back to be made into a bouquet, she told me they would just use some green fillers to make it a little bigger. And I thought ok perfect. I was waiting at the cashier alongside two other ppl when another person walked in and ordered a dozen red roses. The lady who helped me yelled to the back to the guy to make them and said «AND MAKE THEM BEAUTIFUL» I almost laughed, what about the other ppl waiting for their flowers? are ours not gonna be beautiful?
One of the guys from the back brought out a bouquet and I thought it was for the guy next to me until they were done wrapping it up and said it was mine… That thing? With all the extra flowers I didn’t want that you added in? That’s mine? At this point I just wanted to pay and get out of there. Came to $ 27 and change. Eeeeeek.
I was originally going to go to trader joes because they have awesome flowers and for so much cheaper! I’ll be back to traded joes and not here. So props for her to making me not leave completely miserable.

Received flowers «just because» from my boyfriend that he ordered from here delivered to my job. Delivery guy was very nice.
WOW they are STUNNING! Not only that, but I can tell that they are only half-​open at this point, so they will only continue to be more and more beautiful within the next couple days. I am so happy with the flowers!!!
One of my clients who came into the store even asked for the information for the florist after seeing them. She said that they definitely made an impression!

I wish there was an option for zero stars because they definitely dont deserve even one star. I made a purchase for flowers to be delivered to my friend in the hospital. Not only did they take FOREVER AND A DAY to arrive to my friend, but when they arrived, half the flowers were already dying and they smelled horrendous as well. When I called their customer service and talked to the owner, he was rude, obnoxious, racist, and even tried to blame it on me, the CUSTOMER. He refused to refund my money and even told me to take my business elsewhere, which I was planning to do anyways. Thanks for nothing, Hicksville Flowers!
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT SHOP HERE. YOURE BETTER OFF SPENDING YOUR MONEY AT A LOCAL STORE that will not only deliver beautiful, fresh flowers on time, but will also treat you like you’re their #1 customer!

this review is about the quality of their gift baskets and not their flowers… i received a pretty gift basket from a friend and was super excited until i realized how stale and rotten the cookies and chocolates were… since the basket was expensive, i decided to call to question the quality of the items but the owner was largely inconsiderate and RUDE! not only did he not apologize but even started calling me names. this is the worst experience i have ever had but if you want to buy flowers from a place who provides the worst customer service and gives you expired items then go ahead!!!

Good thing Unilocal has a minimum star requirement because this place deserves negative stars!
Not only do they have horrible overpriced products ($ 85 for a dozen, are you kidding me?! I’ll grow my own orchard… maybe thats why he can buy whole towns…) but they are have horrible customer service reps who are RACIST.

ZERO STARS!!! This garbage of a place deserves 0 stars. I am putting one star because I am mandated to before I write the review. I received a huge fruit/​cookie/​chocolate basket from a dear friend and it was delivered to my home. What was wonderful about the basket was nothing at all. The chocolates were stale, the cookies smelled horrendous and were stale as well. The fruits were not fresh. What makes this situation better is when we called to complain, the owner Jake (whatever his sad name is) called us an idiot. So instead of providing careful and considerate customer service for the horrendous basket they sent us, they lashed out at us. They told us that their shop is from Hicksville and if they wanted to they could purchase my whole town since I am from Elmhurst. (Whatever that means, did not know owning a horrendous flower company made you Bill Gates). They were extremely rude and racist on the phone as well calling us Indians, which does not make any sense considering we are not Indian. This is the most disgusting horrid experience I have ever had with any business, self-​owned especially. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS S*** of a place AT ALL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Worst florist ever. Don’t go there for cuz they’ll judge you for your choices. Like come on I’m not the only guy who buys roses for himself cuz they smell good (that’s not weird right).anyways they also were extremely racist as well they said I smelled and should shower, its only been a few days but thats besides the point I like to keep it natural. I give this place 0 stars; would not bang.

God this place doesn’t even deserve one star but out of the kindness of my heart (and the fact that Unilocal makes it mandatory to give at least one start) I will. I recommend you save your money rather then give it to these people. Not only are their products crappy, their service is horrible. They give you rotted products and then pretend like they’ve done you a favor. Not to mention, they’re as racist as they come. You have the slightest tan and they call you Indians or Africans (yep, courtesy of that dumb dude in customer service). They swear they’re all that when I’m sure they put the HICK in Hicksville. I’ve never been more appalled by people and costumer service. Jeez I didn’t know such racism and ignorance still existed. I’m better off making origami flowers than buying anything from here.

Don’t know what the cost was, but a guest brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers over a week ago and they still look great. I inquired where they go the flowers, and was told Hicksville Florist. Based on the quality, variety, and longevity of the flowers I’m impressed.

Hicksville Flowers! Once again they came through in a pinch. While Ruben’s review is correct, there is usually one guy working who will ignore you and that roses are redic expensive ($ 85/​dozen), if you either call ahead or give them a certain price point, you can be in and outta that place with a beautiful bouquet in no time.
Pro tip: park on the street right outside of the store instead of their min parking lot

Ordered flowers for a memorial service. The flowers arrived at the church in plenty of time for the service and were beautiful. The arrangement was huge with an abundance of fresh Flowers. They did not disappoint. I would recommend this florist

I went in looking for a bouquet for the wife and the place was empty and the person behind the counter was on the phone I waited for a few minutes and looked around all the flowers in the fridge were priced and I have to say everything was very over priced. A dozen roses 85.00 wow, they must think its valentines day. Anyway the guy never got off the phone or acknowledge me, so I took my business else where.

DO NOT USE this florist, if you want flowers delivered that is.
I placed an order through the FTD web site for a next day flower delivery for my mother-​in-​law, this was on a Thursday, Hicksville Flowers picked up the order. Friday came and went and on Saturday I asked my wife if her mother received the flowers. My mother-​in-​law did not receive the flowers.
I called FTD (at this point I did not know the name of the florist). FTD contacted Hicksville Flowers and they stated that they went to deliver but my mother-​in-​law was not home. They went to a neighbor to ask if they would hold the flowers for her. The neighbor declined (so the florist says) so the florist «porched» the flowers (again so they say), meaning they left the flowers at her front door. My mother-​in-​law came home to no flowers on her porch.
A few things my mother-​in-​law has lived at this address for 40 years. All of her neighbors know and love her. And when she asked around she could not find this mysterious neighbor who declined to hold the flowers. Furthermore, all of her neighbors emphatically deny ever even seeing flowers at her door.
When FTD called Hicksville Flowers on Saturday they said that they would deliver the flowers the next day (a Sunday). The following day my mother-​in-​law stayed at home (missing church services I might add) and around noon she received a call from the florist stating that they would deliver the flowers to her later in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon came and went and still no flowers. My mother in law called again and they told her that she would have to drive to their shop (about 30 minutes away) and pick up the flowers!
Uhhhhmmmmm, excuse me but I did not spend $ 15.00 in delivery fees for my mother in law to have to drive and pick up flowers.
This business appears to be unprofessional at best or shady (which is probably closer to the truth). Hicksville Flowers slogan «Where Excellence Prevails» should be altered to «Where Mediocrity Prevails».
In the end I called FTD and they were able to have the arrangement upgraded and delivered by another florist.
