Great homemade ice cream! We got peanut butter, butter pecan, and chocolate. We will definitely be coming back soon!

A favorite treat for my family. We have been many times, and have never been disappointed. Such a good quality product. They are not selling ice cream from the grocery store’s freezer. It is homemade and amazing!

For some people their weakness is chocolate, for others it’s Kryptonite. Mine happens to be ice cream. Specifically homemade ice cream. The Unilocal reviews are true. Udderly Delicious makes some damn good ice cream. Could this location be any smaller? Probably not — it’s tiny. It’s so tiny the bathrooms are on the outside like an old gas station. There’s also a weird drive up window that appears impossible to drive back out of. In the big picture — who cares? I sure don’t. Black Cherry — loaded with big old half and whole black cherries in a wonderful vanilla base. Butter Pecan — my toes curled in my shoes — so good –perfect texture to the pecans, still crunchy! Fresh Banana — sinful baby food for grown-ups — even ones who don’t like bananas — almost indescribable — you have to try it for yourself! 2 adult double scoop cones and two kiddie cups only $ 12!!!

My wife and I were driving from Tennessee back home to Durham and hit Hickory in time for dinner. We ended up going to ice cream here instead of dinner and it was great! They have an indoor putt putt for just $ 2.50! Ice cream is a bit expensive but it was really good and they have flavors I haven’t seen before. Sharing a triple was cheaper than getting 2 singles so I’d recommend that for a date

Udderly Delicious Ice Cream was named THE place to eat in Catawba County by Our State Magazine in 2012. Why? Because their ice cream is homemade and truly fantastic. I usually stop to get a double scoop cone as dessert, after enjoying lunch at Roasted ‘Tater restaurant, which is practically across the street. My favorite lately is a double scoop of chocolate ice cream in a regular cone. Boring? Oh no, mon frère. It is simple and simply delicious. I have also been known to splurge and order a hot fudge sundae, but these are super rich, so I don’t order them often. Today, one of my chocolate scoops was the«Moo Moo More Chocolate,» which their website says is their second most popular flavor after Oreo. The Moo Moo More is chocolate ice cream with the addition of chunks of chocolate and chocolate chips. If that sounds good, believe me — it is. It reminded me of one of my favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor, New York Super Fudge Chunk® which is: Chocolate Ice Cream with White & Dark Fudge Chunks, Pecans, Walnuts & Fudge Covered Almonds. When this is partially melted it is decadent. I love to sit outside Udderly Delicious Ice Cream at one of their two tables and watch the world go by on a warm, sunny day. I try valiantly to keep chocolate ice cream from running down my wrist. It is indeed a pleasant challenge. There are often families there with small children, and watching those kids enjoy their ice cream makes for an enjoyable experience in itself. A double scoop cone is $ 4.00 after tax, and it may be the best way that I know of to spend $ 4.
