Specialties

Our nationally-acclaimed studio specializes in creating custom windows, sidelights, transoms and doorways for any house, style, taste and budget. We offer creative window design solutions for every space in your home! We love design challenges and thinking of new ways of incorporating stained glass into your home!

The Last Unicorn Stained Glass Studio specializes in putting your dreams into stained glass! Most of our pieces are made using Tiffany technique, which allows the creation of extremely complex and intricate pieces. We also do stained glass painting, using century-old techniques. The paint is fired onto the glass to become its permanent part. It never comes off or chips — same technique that has been used since the 12th century in church windows! Absolutely any design is possible! Your beloved dog, cat, horse, your favorite landscape or the gorgeous rose bush from your garden — all of them can be immortalized in glass. It can be a panel you hang in your window, a side light, a bay window or a fireplace screen.

If you do not have your own design, but have a theme in mind — contact the artist. A custom design can be created specifically for you or you may use one of the stock pattern designs. And we do REPAIRS too!

History

Established in 2009.

I learned stained glass as a hobby and a way to relieve stress from an extremely stressful project management job. However, my passion soon developed into a full-fledged business as I cultivated my aptitude for the craft by continuous education. In 2009, the business seized being part-time and is now serving homeowners all over the country. There is no project too large or too small and EVERYTHING can be shipped!

Meet the Business Owner

Ekaterina R.

Business Owner

My name is Ekaterina (Yekaterina) Reier and I am Russian-born and raised. I immigrated to the United States in 2003 at the age of 19 and stained glass art was nowhere in my plans. I got right down to chasing my American Dream, which at that time meant — working hard and making enough money to stay afloat. That was a notch better than in Russia. There you just worked hard…

I learned to make stained glass as a way to relieve stress at work and to realize my longing to make something beautiful with my own hands. Fortunately, after years of working odd jobs and then in high-stress project management positions, my beloved husband, who also happens to be my biggest fan suggested that I may be better off doing what I loved — Stained Glass which at that time was just a hobby.
