L-R Hand Car Wash, Express Lube & Detail Center

This was my second visit here, and they did such an exceptional job that I just had to comment.
I’ve never been to a car wash where people show such pride and effort in doing their job correctly.
Auto Spa? Nope. Auto Bell? No.
This place has NO competition in Hickory, that’s for sure.
I get the Deluxe wash, which is one step below their Super Deluxe.
(The Super Deluxe adds Rain-​X for one’s windshield and I don’t need that.)
Vehicles are HAND WASHED by a team of employees.
Two or three people dry and vacuum the vehicle and apply tire gloss.
I stood and watched them do the wipe down… and OMG — they were meticulous.
I am a stickler for detail, but these two young people — a teenaged guy and girl, went above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle was sparkling clean. And when I mean CLEAN, I mean showroom, ready to sell the vehicle, CLEAN.
— They vacuumed the vehicle thoroughly.
— They cleaned the dash.
— They cleaned the inside of the windows — all of them… in a SUV.
— They cleaned the rear passenger area of my SUV.
— They cleaned the door jambs! (Heck, a lot of times, even «I» don’t do that.)
— They Armor All’ed my tires, and I watched the young lady clean between the spokes of my aftermarket wheels. (I’ve never witnessed this before.)
— The young man walked around my vehicle three times to make sure that every millimeter was clean, dried, and spotless.
I told the cashier that I was EXTREMELY impressed with their attention to detail.
She smiled and said that theirs was a family owned company, and that many of the employees were family members. She said that they make it a point to treat their employees well.
— As I stated in my previous review, these people ARE NOT FAST — they are thorough. Thorough is what I want, especially when the price point tops $ 20.
— You will be there forty-​five minutes to an hour, as the line is usually ten cars deep.
— Their waiting area is spacious, plainly furnished, but comfortable and quiet.
— There is a shoe shine stand in their lounge, but it was vacant on the day that I visited.
— They have a punch card rewards program.
Please tip the employees well, because they REALLY deserve it.
