Hickory Daily Record

I totally agree with Sam J.
I live in a development where there are about 200 homes.
The Hickory Daily Record throws out their «POW» and sample
HDR newspapers and it’s an eyesore in our neighborhood.
I walk through MF every day, for exercise, and see these papers at a lot of homes.
After they had laid there about a week I picked up 14 of them in the street,
and along the curb and put them in my recydle bin.
IT’S TRASH… PEOPLE !
No one wants that worthless tripe.
The sign at the guard house says «NO SOLICITATION».
One would think people at a newspaper could read.
Undoubtedly they can… they just don’t comprehend WHAT they read.
Stop littering our neighborhood.

The largest waster of natural resources in the Unifour area.
I don’t know how many times that I have requested that the Hickory Daily Record PLEASE stop littering my driveway with their damned newspapers, but to no avail.
Once or twice, I have just left the newspaper lying in my driveway to make a point, but their employee just keeps throwing out papers day after day. Eventually, there are four or five rolls lying in my driveway. Not only is this unsightly, but it tells any criminal in the area that, «hey, this person may not be home. Come on in and steal their stuff.»
I take measures to insure that my home is protected, and the HDR, through their inconsiderate actions of trying to increase their business, counteracts my efforts. I don’t appreciate this one bit.
At this point, I just pick up their unwanted refuse and toss it straight into the recycle bin — another tree dead for no reason.
HDR, how would you like it if I dumped my trash at your doorstep on a weekly basis?
Have you ever considered what you’re doing for one second?
By all means, deliver newspapers to subscribers, but otherwise — please stop littering our neighborhood. If I wanted a newspaper, I would subscribe.
