Certified Advanced Handgun instructor with experience training with Gunsite Academy, Handgun Combatives, Massad Ayoob Group, Sig Sauer Academy, Vickers Tactical, and others, teamed up with other instructors and safety officers to offer sound, effective, and affordable handgun and personal protection training to the greater Hickory, NC area.

The ATR team of excellent certified firearms instructors and safety officers is headed up by ATR founder Keith. A proponent of personal defense and personal reliance, Keith combined his love of teaching with passion for firearms to form A Triggered Response in 2012. Both local and nationwide training, including excelling in courses with Gunsite Academy, Massad Ayoob Group, Handgun Combatives with Dave Spaulding, Sig-​Sauer Academy, Vickers Tactical, and others, allows us to bring concepts from the USA’s best trainers and training centers back to the greater Hickory, NC area.

Keith is NRA Certified Advanced Pistol Instructor, which also includes certifcation as an instructor for NRA Basic Psitol, NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home, NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home, and the NRA Defensive Pistol Module.

Advanced training in Self-​Defense Law from Massad Ayoob and materials from Andrew Branca also allow a more in-​depth exploration of that topic.
