Comcast Service Center

I am writing my review today with a Highly disappointing experience with Comcast. From the moment I place my order to the week and a half it took for them to have an available spot to come install was he completely negative a disappearin from the moment I place my order to the week and a half it took for them to have an available spot to come install was a completely negative disappealing experience. Having been a previous Comcast customer I had an account that apparently is too complicated to update my phone number and email. I called four times to have this information updated before my installation and no one could get this done properly. I called Comcast myself since I did not have a confirmation call yesterday The individual on the phone said that they would update the phone number and they would come today. I just waited two hours for no one to come and to have a rude individual tell me I was wrong and only solution was to give me a Nother day for installation. I took today off from work so I could get this done so I could work remotely which Internet is required for my job. I canceled my order because this is completely unacceptable and apparently you do not want my business.

Does anyone really like dealing with Comcast and their high prices? My visit to this service center was to swap out my remote that was going bad. I also had some questions about my bill. In particular, why after 2 years of owning my own gateway modem did an $ 8 charge appear on my bill?
Observations… first, the pictures they show for this listing no where reflect the inside of the service center. It’s not a complete dump, but certainly not as bright and modern as the new pics reflect.
The agent who helped me stated she was from the Elmhurst center. She made several excuses for why the charge was on my bill, but stated she’d provide the credit for the last few months as I deserved. The remote was swapped out.
Overall, I did receive decent service. But, the company irks me to no end. I shouldn’t have needed to be in there for the length of time that I was had they not made the billing error.
