Disgusted, I went in to order the bacon fries and the lady named EMMIE working there was very rude to begin when I didn’t know where the start of the line was. She began to shout as if it was really loud but it was and it was mildly busy. Then after I ordered I saw her making my meal with no gloves on wiping sweat off her forehead I immediately took my money back. As I am disappointed with the cleanliness of this franchise. You would think owning a business the first thing before customer service would be good cleanliness. Never coming here again.

Tried this place for the first time. Got a small pepperoni steak for $ 5.99. It was ok but for the same price I could’ve gotten a footlong spicy Italian at Subway. The cashier was nice but the cook, not so much. I’d try this place again.

Food was okay. The service was very slow. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. It could be because we went at lunch time. The line was very long and it seemed to take forever. All in all I would probably give it another shot.

If you are desparate for food and have no access off base, come here and eat in this food court.

I’m torn between two and three stars. If rating on service, it would be totally a two star experience but I’ll toss in an extra star for the lemonade since its good, I think that’s fair. I’ve been here twice now before writing my review and dealt with two different«shifts» of staff members, and all but one made me feel like I ruined their day by wandering up to the counter. The first night that I went up to the counter I simply wanted to order a lemonade and specifically asked for a «regular lemonade» and was given a strawberry lemonade, I told the woman that I had asked for a regular lemonade and she basically told me that the drink was expensive and tried to persuade me to just take it… Well lady yes, the drink is expensive… that’s why I want the one made with just lemons, no strawberries and no kiwis please and thank you. Sorry for making your night so difficult. I went back there again and ordered a regular sized philly and yep you guessed it a lemonade and again the customer service left something to be desired. The sandwich was also not so great and lacked flavor. In conclusion 3 stars for the lemonade. And everything else is feh.

Having never been around military installments Charley’s was new to me(they seem to only be found on military installments). We decided to eat there one day on my husbands lunch break because they were handing out samples of the philly cheese steak and the sample was great. The service is hit or miss(but mostly miss). The food is hit or miss. Although the food SMELLS great, sometimes it tastes a little off. The last time that we went there I found multiple pieces of HARD white substance in my meat(bone?) and after hurting my teeth from biting into the pieces, I don’t think I will be going back. Too overpriced for the quality.

I was working late last night and cut out for a quick dinner at Charley’s Grilled Subs. It’s located right beside Subway in the food court, so a comparison is natural. Charley’s doesn’t just toast their subs; they grill up the ingredients after you order and put them on a toasted bun. You get what feels like a hot meal instead of a warmed up sandwich. So hot in fact, if you’re in a hurry like I was last night, you need to make yourself wait for it to cool some; least you burn your mouth. OUCH! Charley’s offers only the basics for toppings on their subs. Jalapenos are as exotic as they get. I believe other than that, it’s just lettuce and tomatoes. Price wise, it’s comparable. They sweeten the deal some with a daily lunch special and a significantly reduced price on all large subs after 4pm. I got sucked in on that deal last night and wound up eating more that I should have. I wouldn’t say this Charley’s Grilled Subs is better or worse than its neighboring Subway; just different. That’s a good thing. It gives us options. BTW, this is what I was doing last night while all my Unilocal Elite friends were partying at Unilocal’s Speakeasy @ Apartment 3. But I’m not bitter! :-P

I love coming to Charley’s for breakfast! I’m not a HUGE fan of their lunch menu, but that’s a personal taste thing. They’ve got a basic breakfast menu and the staff is always very nice and professional. My eggs are always cooked perfectly to order, although they are a little bit greasy. It’s not enough to give me heartburn though so I don’t complain!
