This is my favorite Spanish bakery to come to. This one place I miss about Miami. Fresh baked goods, cheap prices and good service

Great selection, good customer service, clean atmosphere, organized.
Wish they made the Guava and other fruit pastes from scratch.

I’m not really sure what happened here… I was really excited to find a great bakery on my way home… I waited in one line and then the next. Multiple employees saw me and pretended I wasn’t there when all I wanted was some pastries :(
I ended up just leaving empty handed–

Anything you order here is just like you remember having back in the 80’s when abuelo use to take in there by the hand to buy una libra de pan. Gotta try the steak sandwich here. As for the service. If you’re gonna try it during your lunch break, you need 20 minutes to wait your number to be called.

If you grew up during the 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond in Miami, you know of the incredible cuban pastry shop know as Vicky, if you did and don’t know this place, what rock have you lived under. There is nothing here that’s good for you other than bottled water, but everything here taste damn good. My personal favorites and a must try are the guava pastries, ham croquets and of course Cuban bread with butter. While you’re there drink either a Colada or Café con Leche and remember if you order the cortadito, share it, unless you want to fore go sleeping for the next 3 days (unless you’re immune by birth, like myself being of cuban descent). I would so definitely recommend stopping here!!!

These people know where its at! I really cant speak for the chicken croquetas, ive never had them but everything is right on with me here.
Café con leche is always perfect, tostadas are heavenly, ham croquetas rock it.
They also have a bunch of pastelitos, my favorite is the guava and cheese and they are always perfect. This is also my goto spot to pick up a tray of to-​go snacks for a get together.
Dont forget to get a number when you go in, if not you arent in line :)

Love the pastries here but have LOTS of patience in the morning during the week when the owner isn’t there! The ladies take forever to help you. Between talking to each other and eating you will be late to work if your on a time frame. Now on the weekends when the owner is there the service is fast & exceptional. Just wish it was the same during the week when people have to get to work.

I ordered a cake for the first time less than a month ago for my daughter’s 6^th birthday. The lady who took my order did not explain to me that their regular vanilla cakes are sponge cakes. I was expecting a regular cake consistency, but instead got a wet cake that nobody at the party liked. Not even the children. I am not one who usually complains about sweets, especially cakes. Maybe ten thin slices of cake where served at my daughters party and not 1 person ate their slice. It was also the same amount of buttercream as cake it was disgusting. We ended up throwing away pretty much all of the cake, and the same night I went on their website and made a complaint. I got a quick response but in the end they did not try to make me happy in the least. I even emailed them pictures of the cake in the garbage so they wouldn’t think I was lying. The only thing the owner told me was that he would make my next cake to my liking. I think even though I am just one customer, all customers should be satisfied with their services. They should’nt just brush it off because Im one in a bunch. I will never order a cake from them again. And their croquetas also taste horrible. Just saying. Hope nobody else wastes money on a cake and ends up throwing it away. I’ve tasted better cakes at home and from publix.

Nestled in the east Hialeah warehouse district close to miami springs and northwest miami. Place is your usual Cuban bakery that you’ll find carrying most of the typical dishes and snacks. Everything was of decent quality (pastelitos of meat and guava) but I feel I must express my disgust at what I personally experienced.
Avoid the chicken croquettes if you’re looking to live. A blind man with a loss of taste buds could conjure a better tasting one.

The Cuban Cake Boss!!! This is an Awesome Cuban Bakery! They have really great inexpensive Cuban Pasteries, and they make great Cuban Cakes for Birthdays and Special Events. My family has been going there for years, and I know that we will continue to go there. The Cakes are Awesome, it is a Cuban Cake Boss! Go just to see the Cakes, and eat some of the pastries. You will be blown away!

I wish I could drag myself out of bed just 10 minutes earlier everyday to make it my official breakfast spot! Staff is always so friendly, fast and efficient, they need it to deal with the crowds. The food is always fresh, a gigantic plus.
I will say if you haven’t visited Vicky since you were a kid, it’s time to re-​discover your grandparents bakery.

I live in Miami Springs, a five minute drive from this location and I was shocked to discover just around the corner was what I was told was reportedly the best pastalitos in Miami. Of course once I found this out I had to stop by and try. My first trip was in the afternoon and I went for desserts. Taking home cheesecake, rice pudding and a dulce de leche mini pie. The rice pudding by far blew me away, I haven’t found any rice pudding in Miami till this point that made me want more, a hint of cinnamon, sweet cream and perfectly textured rice. The cheesecake was strange, not full of much flavor even though the consistency was right. The dulce de leche pie was good.
Three days later I went back for breakfast. Since it was Sat I ordered enough for the weekend. So I got guava cheese, coconut and plain guava pastalitos and they were great on day one, two and three.
My biggest disappointment was the ham croquettes, I really do not want to revisit those again ever.
What impressed me was they have an extensive catering menu. Also their desserts were a little more than the typical Cuban sugar laden treats.
I will definitely be back for my rice pudding and pastalitos.

Ok Vicky bakery is synonymous with pastelitos de guyaba and all their wonderfully sweet pastries and deserts their known for without a doubt but, and there is a big BUT! Here. Girls attending the counter need to know that when you have several people waiting for their turn to be served that maybe they are on short lunch break or in a hurry to get to work and though most of the counter personnel are friendly they are terribly slow and quite conversational when they should be dispatching the working class full house that I have witnessed quite often just leave after a 10 to 15 minute wait with 7 to 8 people waiting. Think about it all their baked goods are on display and ready to go, so do they need to be carrying on a conversation with patrons they know while others wait???, be polite yes but when you have customers waiting, then on to business. Great pastries are offset by slow and overly social counter staff that needs to get on the ball.

Best place in Miami for pastelitos. The only con I can think of is the wait to order.

old, yes. original, yes… nice location on way to beach on sunday morning, yes… yummy, YES! we are blessed with many many bakeries in our neighborhood but this is one which has been around for a very long time. they continue to serve warm, goey guava filled pasteries, nicely fried croquetes and other delicious sweets… they do have some savory things such as sandwiches and empanadas.

I remember this place back from when my parents used to get my birthday cakes here. I recently rediscovered it when I took a class at MDC North. They have a small deli section where you can get Cuban sandwiches, Medianoches and my personal favorite Carb and Cholesterol overdose: Panes con Pasta! The only bummer is that the parking lot us verry cramped and theyre only open until 7 weekdays (not sure of their weekend hours)
