Okay I want to start of by saying I agree with Sao L. They are horrible when it comes to customer service. So rude and they charged me 45 dollars for just a blow out my hair is up to my shoulders and I have the keratin done. They didn’t even wash my hair !!!

Terrible customer service!!! Ana and clarisa are horrible people, the salon have such a bad vibe, they argue in front of the clients, scream, have an attitude of highness and is not you who is paying your money. Tita is supposed to be the manager but she is the worse to not say the terrible one. really bad experience and the services are very pricey. Don’t waste your time and money going to this place. I know they are better beauty salon in this area.

Great place to go and have your hair colored, washed and blow dried. They are open on Sundays too! Love it here!

Went here for wash and sets regularly and never had a problem. But I went to get a relaxer and I was told it was $ 45. So after she finished rinsing the perm out she says«ok I’m done.» I’m like, «your not going to roller set it?» Like she’s not going to send me out with wet hair not for $ 45 bucks! So she sets my hair I sit under the dryer when she takes the rollers out she barely combs it or flat irons it so it was just all over the place but whatever I figured I would fix it when I got home.. But when I went to the front to pay all of the sudden it’s $ 65! She says $ 20 for the roller set! so if you come here be prepared to pay for everything seperate I for one won’t be coming back I could understand if they used top of the line products but I can go to the beauty supply store and get a bottle of silicon mix for $ 7 plus she was slow it took her at least 45 minutes to put the perm in luckily I don’t burn easily!

There is nothing exceptional about the salon itself. However, my hair stylist Clara is the real deal. She is truly talented. I’ve been going to her for years for a hair cut, color and blow dry. The only draw back I can think of about this place is the fact they speak very LIMITED english. So if you are not a spanish speaker like myself, try to learn some essential salon spanish words or master your sign language before you get there

After having fainted from the pain of pedicures in other places, I had found someone a relative recommended was an expert with my issue of ingrown nails. Unfortunately, she got really nasty with me when I called her half an hour before my appointment to tell her I was going to be running late. Let’s just say that our conversation ended on a very negative note and she wasn’t going to take me at the salon… so anyhow, I was finishing with my new stylist, who had done some gorgeous highlights on me, when she saw I was in a predicament and volunteered to send me to her friend at Hair Dominican Style. She said her friend would save the day and I’d be ok. Hair Dominican Style is in a Hialeah strip mall, near a Vietnamese restaurant called Green Papaya(which looked very tempting, by the way, but I had no time to visit, will make it a point to try it sometime). There are plenty of other stores and even a gas station at that strip mall(very convenient since I was almost on empty). Anyhow, I asked for Tere(short for Teresa), as instructed by my stylist, as she is one of the girls who does the manicures and pedicures at the salon. I was a bit skeptical, considering she looked rather young, but I didn’t think my stylist would send me to someone inexperienced. She looked like a Hispanic Winona Ryder, with an angled bob, highlights, and a sweet smile. My point is, she looked like an easy-going pleasant person, not someone who’d be nasty or would take joy in hurting others. I mentioned that I had the ingrown nails and had been under severe distress and she reassured me she would not hurt me and told me to relax, as my hands were clammy :( The manicure was done pretty quickly, and no issues, luckily, but I was still worried about my feet. There are no massage chairs here, by the way, if you’re expecting that. They use one of those foot baths you can buy at Walgreens, line it with a clear garbage bag, and fill it with water. She got to work on my feet and save for some minor discomfort while twisting my big toe to cut the little skins on the sides, I was fine, I survived, yay! They didn’t use the«cheese grater» here, they use an electric machine that whirs and peels off all the calluses. It was kind of ticklish and hard to keep still and not giggling(yes I am ticklish, haha), but I have nice, smooth feet now :) She then used an exfoliating scrub that had beads, rinsed it, and then put the polish. The price was your standard pedicure and manicure price. There were lots of African-American ladies getting their hair straightened and it looked very nice, shiny and smooth. A blonde lady was there as well, she’d just gotten her roots done and they matched the rest of her hair, so they seem to do a good job with hair and coloring as well. If I’m in need of a mani-pedi after visiting my stylist, I’ll definitely come back, though I’d also like to have a more local option so I don’t have to schlep to Hialeah every time…

My first time in this salon sealed the deal for me. Miami unfortunately has a reputation for Salons services being over priced and making a less than satisfactory job. But I decided to try this place after getting bored with previous hair stylist. Hair Dominican Style had just opened and although the name is dreadful I took the plunge and experimented with my hair one day before new years eve o.0 i know I’ve got cojones! Anyways, I walked in spoke to the manager Nuris what I wanted highlights specifically not red! A color my previous stylist tried to shove down my throat! She was super sweet and said«no! no red we can give you a honey blonde…» SOLD! We talked, laughed she soothed my anxiety being as I had never colored my hair before, we became instantly bonded after she was done, i had fallen in love with this hair and I was not turning back. She’s so good that a few months later I even let her chop my hair off! She was more nervous about cutting my locks than I was, being that my hair surpassed my mid back, it was a success! Don’t be surprised if you walk into Dominican town bachata all day! Those my peoples lol ^.^
