Cal’s Does It Right! Called to see if they had a particular plant, gentleman said he thought so but wanted to make sure so he checked and came back quickly to indicate that they had three left, the size and the price. They go the extra mile to make sure to provide great customer service. My parent’s shopped here starting in the 1960’s and it is still the best.

Super friendly and helpful. The prices were ½ of the big box stores for sod and the sod was excellent. The owner is very friendly and involved. I love giving back to the local community thank you for making me feel good about my experience.

I found plants and varieties that I don’t see elsewhere. Plants are hardened to desert climate and ready to plant. They have been in the business a long time, and know what works here. Very polite. Carry lady bugs and praying mantis. Good people to answer questions.

great prices and accommodating. got a load of dirt and a delivery of sod and both were polite, on time and good quality. these cats are old school. funny it looks the same as when i came here as a kid, before the big box stores were in the desert.
it’s great because Lowes or Home Depot won’t deliver sod, they won’t even allow you to pre-​pay and save it.

This is a long-​established, independent, local nursery. I bought some plants from a few of the «big box» stores, and had to take them back when they died. Cal’s nursery has their plants out in the open instead of in side of «artificial» nurseries that block sunlight and WIND! They’ll give you honest advice and spend time answering your questions. You can also take pictures of your yard and either take them in or upload them to their Facebook page, and they’ll help you the best that they can.
