We offer a variety of services for all needs: pin-​up, glamour, and boudoir sessions; senior, baby, and family portraits; and production, event, and commercial photography, as well. Since all of our client’s needs vary, we’ll consult with you to make sure your photos are exactly as you envision. For specialty sessions like boudoir, pin-​up, and glamour, we offer themed sessions and can arrange other professional services like hair, makeup, and costumes.

Artistic Photography by Sydney is owned and operated by Sydney O’Melia Ambos. Located in Herrin, Illinois, Artistic Photography serves the entire Southern Illinois region including but not limited to: Herrin, Marion, Carbondale, Murphysboro, and Carterville.

History

Established in 2005.

Artistic Photography by Sydney was born from the vision of Sydney O’Melia Ambos, a long-​term Southern Illinois resident whose love for the arts defines her. She often draws inspiration from her art and theatrical background, creating a unique style in her work. Today, Sydney is one of Southern Illinois’ premier wedding and portrait photographers with over 10 years of experience in the industry.

Sydney has always been a creative soul. She has an extensive background in theatre and the performing arts, both as an actress and stagehand. Sydney began her career in nature photography but eventually found that people were her most powerful inspiration.

She’s a warm personality and she takes her work seriously. She treats every client with respect; like an old friend, her best customer, and a work of art worthy of treasuring.
