Description

Specialties

The single reason most organizations fail to thrive is a lack of strong people skills among those at the top. I consult with businesses and organizations to:

*Enhance leaders’ impact

*Create effective managers

*Build collaborative teams

History

Established in 1997.

I founded Workforce Learning in 1997 after spending years climbing the corporate ladder. Stressed and burned out by sluggish organizational bureaucracy, I knew there had to be a better way to make a living while making a difference.

The past 19 years of being a small business owner has taught me true pay for performance: if I meet or exceed my client’s expectations, I get more work. If not, I don’t. The fact that I am still growing my practice after 19 years shows I know what I am doing and can use my expertise to help my client solve business problems.

Alice W.

Business Owner

I passionately believe in what I do and am constantly inspired by my clients and the missions that they serve. My personal mission is to make every engagement produce tangible value for my clients in helping them discover better, faster and more efficient ways to achieve their goals and objectives. I also believe in using my skills and knowledge to give back to my community. I happily serve as a volunteer videoconference docent for the Smithsonian American Art Museum and in that capacity bring the joy of art appreciation to children and adults nationwide.

Dr. Waagen earned a BS in education from the New York State College at Buffalo, and MS and PhD degrees in education from the Pennsylvania State University. Giving back to the community is also important to Alice. She is an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Northern VA as well as serves on the Advisory Board for Marymount University, Reston Campus.
