Washington Dulles Marriott Suites

This place is really nice. Close to shops restaurants movie theater and Dulles. Love staying here on my way out. Nicely appointed rooms.

I was very disappointed and treated very poorly. Do not go to this hotel. TV’s do not work nor will they take any money off your bill or move you if they weren’t able to fix it. The food was burt to a crisp and they still wanted to charge me. I complained about the food when it was delivered and I was told they would take it off my bill. However, at check out, it was still on my bill and I was told that a manger that was not in that day will have to approve the refund. They will give us a call. 1 day later not a word from the manager. I am still waiting. Day 2… still waiting. I feel there was a form of discrimination as well. It still continues in this day in age. Again, I am very disappointed in my whole experience. Never again…

Expected more and received a lot less. Stay at the Embassy Suites. Much better.

I’m a frequent traveller and almost always stay at Marriotts, Courtyards or Residence Inns. This property is older but this Marriott has become one of my favorites. Their rooms are nothing fancy but their dining is delicious (albeit a little over-​priced). The indoor/​outdoor pool is a great touch. But honestly, you can’t beat the staff who are always friendly and helpful.

Great price for right next to the airport. Friendly service and the room was clean and modern!

Staff: Probably the nicest I’ve ever encountered at a Marriott. Each of the 5 nights I stayed here there was a staff member standing in the middle of the lobby just to greet guests.
Rooms: Huge. Plenty of space.
Room service: Get the burger. It was delicious.
Breakfast: Decent, but not mind-​blowing.
Parking: Tons of it, but you may just have to walk a little bit if you don’t go in the garage.
Check-​in/​check-​out: Hassle free.
Location: A much better option than the Residence Inn or Courtyard 5 miles down the road in Chantilly. Here you’re surrounded by nothing but chain restaurants, but same goes for Chantilly, and most of northern Virginia for that matter.

Great great great!!! Had a not so great experience with my carry out order but boy did they fix that fast! Ingrid was on top of it, very sweet and professional and made sure to reach out to me for a better second time around experience! I truly appreciate her and her staff and must say everything ran pretty smoothly and efficiently as possible! Thank you and I’ll be back!

Compared to the hotel I had *survived* the night before, this place was paradise. Clean rooms, nice guest service, a lobby bar… what’s not to love? Shuttle service is convenient, just under a 10 minute drive to the Dulles Airport. It’s located in a shopping center with plenty of places to eat. If you’re looking for a nice, decently priced place to stay before/​after a flight, you’ve found it at the Marriott Suites.

Just like everyone else said, this is a great great deal. I paid $ 84/​night and for $ 114 I got breakfast and WiFi included. I probably wouldn’t have done that had I been alone but with two small children and my wife, feeding them and myself for breakfast would have been at least $ 20 – 30 anywhere else. It also saved time.
The room was upscale, nicely furnished, with separate bedroom and living room spaces, with French doors separating them. Two flat screen TVs, including one in the bedroom.
The staff was very friendly and the overall location and parking garage area were very convenient, especially the adjoining strip mall that includes a bunch of small restaurants, a Starbucks, an under construction Panera bread, a TGI Fridays, etc etc. The area itself is great for people who want to visit DC without paying a fortune and being in a congested area. I kept hearing about how bad traffic is but based in my schedule, I rarely saw any.
Now there were a few issues, none major. First, the shower took like forever to heat up. I think like five minutes. I was almost ready to give up and call downstairs and then it finally started getting warmer. Second, the buffet breakfast was not great. That’s being generous. It wasn’t bad per second, and my kids liked it. But I would say it was one step up from a continental breakfast at a Marriott courtyard.

I stayed here three nights per week, every week, for work awhile back. It’s a standard Marriott Ina superb location. Situated in a plaza with tons of restaurants, gym, close to highway, easy commute to airport. The hotel also has a good gym, pool, and jacuzzi. If you need to a place to stay in the area, this is a good choice.

A rather pleasant Marriott property very close to Washington Dulles Airport. Located in the Worldgate shopping /​office plaza with access to multiple restaurants, a full-​service Starbucks, the large Worldgate Fitness Sport & Health club, and many other amenities.
— Rooms are large, well-​appointed, and super clean.
— There is a bar, restaurant on site.
— Service is fast and friendly.
— Prices are very corporate travel friendly.
— Place is quiet, rooms are solid so you’re no listening to your neighbors.
— Plenty of parking.
— Fast shuttle to a from airport and some local companies have pickups/​drop-​offs here.
As usual, a good experience in the Northern Va. area.

This will be a short review, because I was here for only a short time. Arrived at midnight, departed at 6am. Picked this spot as it was close to the airport and saved me some time rather than trying to dash from downtown in rush hour.
Place is very nicely appointed and the rooms are very nice as well. Service was great (for what I used). Even though I arrived after midnight, there was someone at the front desk to quickly check me in. That is a lot different from many other chains. Will definitely use this location again.
Also, it is close to lots of food options, so that is a plus too.

This Marriott is definitely up to standards. I stayed here recently for a couple of nights and was pleased.
Like all Marriott’s it’s all about the bedding. The only word for it is «plush.» While I do enjoy an occasional stay at a Hilton, there is just something about Marriott’s beds that put them in a league of their own.
The only downchecks for this hotel are that they charge for internet (although to be fair, my company covered the expense). Some day hotels will realize what a turnoff this is. Free Wi-​Fi should be a Constitutional right, dammit! I can’t believe for a second that the small chunk of change they make by charging for Wi-​Fi is worth the aggravation they inflict on their customers. I think it would be better to just eat the cost, roll it into the room rate or whatever, all in the name of happy customerhood. ‘Nuff said.
Also, the area where this hotel is located is a bit of a Debby Downer. While it is close to the airport, that also means most of the restaurants and bar options have an airport feel to them. You might have to plan on traveling a piece to get something decent.

Stayed at this location for a couple of nights for a business trip to the corporate headquarters in the area. Very nice area, catering more towards individuals travelling by airplane. The large parking garage (including an outdoor lot) make driving a lot more friendly also.

Great rooms, really good breakfast and a really welcoming front desk staff. The room service takes a but but the food has made it worth it. I stay here with my daughter and the children movie selection for the room is great. I am a platinum member from traveling a lot and this remains one of my favorite marriotts.

Clean spacious rooms. Suites with a sitting room and bedroom area. Large well lit bathroom with separate area for sink and large closet. Most of our towels were soft and thick. We had one towel that was quite a thinner and harder. Some minor issues with the remote/​TV in the bed room area. Cons. Free wi-​fi only in lobby. Rooms near the elevator are noisier and are also near the ice and vending machine (rooms ending in 14 &16). Rooms had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice exercise room on third floor with five or so treadmills, five eclyptical machines, a couple bicycles machines a separate free with section. A small pool and jacuzzi. Conference facilities were good and stand helpful and professional. Easy shuttle to/​from the airport, every 30 minutes and on time. Lots of variety in nearby restaurants. Good service. Provisional and helpful front desk staff

This is a really good choice if you need a layover while traveling through Dulles because the hotel is very close to the airport. Just as important is the fact that there are restaurants, shops, and even a movie theater next door! So if you don’t have a car you won’t be stuck in your room bored and hungry. The rooms themselves are modern and comfy and are a really good value and the staff are all friendly and helpful and let us check in early after a 17 hour flight from S. Africa. If I ever have to pass through Dulles again and need to layover I’ll stay here again.

This location is awesome. I love staying places where it central to food and other activities. Having the Serenity Spa next door is also a plus. Tanya was amazing at check in which was very quick. I’m here for work this weekend, so I’m going to enjoy it as much as possible. Nice clean room, I adore the French doors, and the bed is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this location for business or pleasure.

I have to say the Marriott Suites concept is my favorite Marriott brand. I was almost reluctant to give them a good review for fear they would always be too busy.
I have stayed in the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites a few times and love the hotel. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from Dulles airport and convenient to most of the office buildings in Reston and Herndon.
I love the suite concept. The parking is convenient, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There is also a wide variety of places to eat right outside the lobby door.
The staff at this hotel have always outdone themselves to b e friendly hand helpful and the restaurant is very good. Their breakfast buffet is great.
I recommend this hotel for any business traveler in the Dulles area.

the hotel has 11 floors, 2 elevators — you’d think they don’t move fast, but they do! and can carry a lot of people. i had the 10^th flr, with city view. noise level from the morning traffic is dull, but can still be heard.
–less than 5 miles from dulles int’l airport.
–situated in a central location — kohl’s is across the street and many eateries around it, even has a starbucks and subway underneath it.
–modern lobby area and good wifi /​internet connection
–LOVE how sound-​proof the place is … very quiet. :)
–super clean and super modern rooms. i love the french doors separating the living room and bedroom.
–they have free fruit
–free parking
–bath & body toiletries
–2 tvs — one in living room and the other in my bedroom. :)
–sink and toilet-​shower separation by door.
–24 HR GYM! came back from a function really late. this was really helpful getting my blood moving again –_​_​_​-​. all equipment are clean and very well kept. cardio machines have tvs attached with good reception. there are also weight machines, yoga mats, and balls.
–very clean pool (closes at 10, has a life guard/​watch)
** i decided to treat myself to grilled filet mignon for room service (30 $ + 18% gratuity + sales tax) *** as all restaurants were closed at that time (11p) — food was delicious! love the tenderness in the meat, though i would go easier on the butter its cooked in. LOVE the warm breads.
the cons:
–bathroom has a weird layout and the tub is kinda small
–internet is not free
–no free bfast ($ 12)
–they window clean on mondays around 10am. SO CLOSE YOUR BLINDS! i was putting away my stuff when i noticed a guy hanging outside my window! realized what was happening and quickly closed the blinds…

So when I stayed here, I really had to evaluate my life. This was the second room I received (2 different hotels) a handicapped room. Wow, do I really look that much like an elderly type? This room, for being handicapped accessible was actually still very nice. It was like a suite where the outside room had a table, couch, table, sink/​counter and the other room had the bedroom and a very large bathroom (but it was a handicapped one with the special set-​up in the shower).
Normally, I wouldn’t have really noticed anything that different, except it was back-​to-​back travel (right after my Marriott Boston stay) that i received handicapped rooms. I even called downstairs to see if maybe they had something in my profile that was causing my luck in getting such special rooms. They just laughed at me and explained that sometimes when are all booked the handicapped ones are the last ones to be used. Hmmm… guess that is what I get for taking the late flights! It was still an enjoyable stay none-​the-​less.
I stayed only one night here, so I don’t have much more to add. Definitely would stay here again if I was in the Herndon area.
