Soap & Suds Car Wash

I come here often to get my car cleaned & every time I am thrilled with the result! The price is decent and the cashier gave me no customer service after I told him I’m writing a review, but the guys who work on my car make it super personal and are very friendly and always are so positive which makes up for the lack of service but I didn’t come for that so I don’t mind. Anyway I always try to tip everytime so please do so as they really work hard!

Waste of money. They took a total of 10 min for the $ 16 wash.

So, I pull up read the menu. Exterior car wash that I want is around $ 16. But, I have to pay an extra $ 10 to have the interior wiped down. I mention to the attendant the areas I’d like him to focus on. He is rude and standoffish and really just wants me out of my car. After the drive through wash is complete, two guys wipe my car down.
Ok, so I clearly still have multiple areas on the interior that I had tried to tell this lazy douche to wipe down and he missed them. More than 5 spots.
On the exterior, I know had about 8 very small pin sized specs of sludge stuck in my car in various areas. Really odd. I had to scrape them off with my finger nail and then there was still a mark o the car.
They didn’t wipe down the car well which resulted in those cars station car wash dry water marks.
And on the interior windshield, there are cloth wipe residue so bad I had to wipe them down with a paper towel.
Shittiest car wash ever.

Great car wash. Friendly, fast and efficient. Get the club card for better deals. Will continue to use this car wash.

I confused this place with a better one nearby. Don’t go here. Terrible car wash. For $ 22, you get barely better than a gas station drive through car wash. They barely vacuumed the interior and didn’t even bother wiping down the surface. I’ve only attached a few pictures to zoom in.

Pretty much exterior wash only. Interior «wipe down» and a purchase inside little tree air freshener. Ok I guess. I was looking for a full inside cleaning after a rough winter. I’ll take what I can get at this point. You have to pull around the back of he building to access the starting point. No signs to tell you that. If you’re not looking at the side of the building you wouldn’t know. I’m sure a lot of people pull in and have to make a uturn to go around the back.

I would give this a half a star if I could. The Platinum wash here is a rip off. For $ 22, you get a drive thru car wash and a vacuum job you could do much better yourself. They didn’t even vacuum the door cup holders or the mud at the foot rest. The rubber mat wash was a joke! The person in charge had the audacity to justify the shoddy work that they did. Please avoid this place and spend your hard earned money somewhere else. I have had washes done at Dr. Wash on Route 50 and although their Platinum wash is more expensive, it is much better. The difference is like night and day! This place is just a shady ripoff!

Waste of money! $ 16 for a less than mediocre car wash. What’s even worse is the cheap owner inside who has discounts listed that he won’t honor.

For less then $ 20 (with the little membership card) for an interior and exterior cleaning it’s A OK in my book.
I’ve had satisfactory cleanings every time I’ve come here and with 4 different cars.
This is not a detail. A proper detail takes hours, some of the other reviewers must have never detailed their own cars or ever paid more then $ 100 to have a car properly detailed. This is a car wash. They vacuum the interior and wipe down surfaces and you drive your own car through the car wash afterwords.
At least once/​twice a year you should take the time to either strip the wax and reapply your own exterior sealant or pay someone to professionally clean/​detail it, then you can maintain in a place like this. Personally I use Zaino twice a year and drive it through one of these places and my cars shine.
If you want/​need a full detail or your minivan is more like a cafeteria floor you should pay more or pay more attention yourself. Any time I notice something they miss and point it out they’ve fixed the issue promptly.
I’ll keep coming back.

Poor cleaning, HORRIBLE customer service. Waste of money.
This place has to be the biggest waste of time and money I’ve run into in a while. The «platinum» wash is supposed to be their best, and if this is the best, I’ll just stick with the drive through at the gas station.
— Guy who gives you a ticket says they wipe everything down and leave it clean. Yes sir, absolutely sir. I’m pleased. At the end I see dirty cup holders, dirty cubbies, obviously ignored interiors. When I ask the manager why it wasn’t wiped, no sorry for the misunderstanding sir, he just whips out a piece of paper and says «wipe down $ 10 extra». Rudely, I might add. Left hand, right hand…
— Before this, I had stood by the car while it was being vacuumed. 4 times in 3 minutes I had to point out areas with obvious crumbs and assorted fluff. They were clearly rushing and skipping over anything that took the slightest effort. The crumbs were not in some obscure cranny, but right there in full view. And all 4 times, they complained and rushed to wave the wand over it, hoping it would vanish. I gave up eventually and went inside to pay. Hoped they wouldn’t leave it in such bad shape now that they knew I expected it to be clean.
— Exterior came out looking decent. Nothing beyond your standard gas station wash though. No door jambs, windows, nothing. Why I’m paying extra for this is not at all obvious.
— At the end, I see MORE crumbs and potato chips lying there. Between the seats, clearly visible. Seats have dust and hair. Does not look like they cleaned much at all. When I bring the surly, unfriendly manager outside to show him, he tries to stick a hand in there and declares it won’t fit, so it won’t be cleaned. «This is express car wash!» He goes. Ignore the fact that nowhere does it say that. Express is the gas station. I point out that the guys have a vacuum cleaner with a thin wand like attachment that EASILY fits in there. They don’t even have to change attachments since it’s already attached. His response? Turns his back on me and just walks off. Literally. No sorry, no I’ll ask them to clean it now for you, just stalks off. This is the WORST, RUDEST MANAGER I have experienced in a long time. Absolutely terrible customer service skills, undeserving of his salary, and zero respect for the people who come there.
I simply slide the seat back (I know, this requires advanced engineering skills) and voila, I can pick the chips up by hand even without a wand. When I show it to him, he just shrugs. I almost force-​fed him the chips right there.
Do yourself a favor and give your money to someone else. These guys will not do a decent job and treat customers like dirt.

BEST detail I’ve ever gotten! So friendly, and they paid attention to all the nooks and crannies, just as if I was doing it myself!

It’s alright for the cost, you can basically get your car washed pretty decent for $ 8. It’s more expensive at every gas station in the area, so that’s a plus. But if you’re looking for high quality, this definitely isn’t the place. Workers weren’t too friendly either. But it’s decent for just a quick simple wash

Figured I’d try this place since my car desperately needed it after all the snow/​salt build up and bc this location is convenient to me. Golds package is$ 15. While all the guys were really nice, the carwash itself left so much to be desired. There were streaks and residue after they wiped things down; They didn’t vacuum between the seats and center console; I had something spill in my seat prior to getting over here, and they just missed that all together. I wasn’t expecting much for the price so shame on me for not splurging for something worth my money.

I have been going to different auto detail shops in the NoVa area and this place by far has to the worst. They are not consistent… one minute they drive your car in after doing the inside next they want you to wait outside in the cold or heat until they are done and u drive it in. I have paid for the platinum each time and they dont clean door jams, skip windows, barely clean the rims, and never dry the entire car off. Once they left my car out of gear and let it roll down hill and laughed at about it like was funny. Each time I try to tell/​show them what they missed or just ignored and they rush over it and treat my car as if it doesnt matter. It has been numerous times that I have to pull of my own cloth and finish cleaning my car while they just stand back and watch without a care in the world. Zero customer service. WORST DETAIL SHOP IN THE AREA. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Great little car wash for $ 8 for outside wash and they have a guy inside to get up under the under the wheels. Once your out they have 2 guys that wipe it all down for you. They also offer inside detailing if needed.

Great car wash! As soon you pull up, the gentlemen greet you and ask you what service you would like (they have a chart that displays level of service-​what it includes and price). You can then go in a back door and watch your car go through the washer (after they are done vacumming and cleaning the inside). They have seats on the inside or benches outside for customers. Never had any issues here!

Love this place, honest and diligent people. The Peruvian manager a plus.

For their prices, this place isn’t too bad. I guess you would have to try this place at your own risk — I type that because there was a mustang a few cars ahead of me that had some of its pinstriping damaged/​ripped. The staff here seemed to care enough, although I don’t know the exact outcome. The guys working on my car were courteous and didn’t complain in another language while I was pointing out window streaks and residual spots/​dirt left on my car. They tried to address my concerns and appease the OCD type person I am.
What really stuck out to me is that they don’t put paper down, i.e. cover your floormats. I think it’s kind of integral here to cover the floormats since they’re walking around on wet ground. They dirtied up my floor mat a little bit and cleaned it up immediately (when I pointed it out to them). I don’t know how much extra the owner would have to pay to start using floormat covers, but it would be a plus for us customers. It would also be nice if they used better towels because of the lint they left behind on my dash — but again, this place isn’t high end.
Maybe these guys weren’t feeling the top of their game this morning since the windows weren’t completely clean and they did miss some dirt left on the front bumper, but I’m not a fan of washing my own car in the wintertime. I might be inclined to go back for another wash.

Amazing! This is the best car wash I have been to in this area — it’s under new ownership, so if you think you knew it before, try it again. I took the van to them after it had been on a summer trip with kids and dogs. They cleaned it like I had paid for a «detail», but I only paid for a $ 21 wash. Incredible — they worked so hard. I tried to tip them well. I was very impressed and will be back.
