After spending over 20 years in business-​to-​business sales, I found myself at a crossroads. Then, on Cinco de Mayo, 2011, I encountered an unexpected speed-​bump in the form of a house fire. I refused to let the material loss get the best of me and instead chose to rise from the ashes. Rebirth is the common thread in my experience and N’Used. Our goal is to give your clothes and accessories a chance to be cherished a second time by a new owner.

This is a great store with a nice selection of brands from Loft all the up to Chanel. The staff here is super friendly and glad to help or answer questions. If you’re looking for a dress for a special event, definitely check here! I did notice that some of the items I was interested in had some hidden tears in the seams, so check carefully before purchasing. Also the pricing seemed a bit high on some items. For example, there was a Calvin Klein Jeans top marked at $ 25. You can get that brand at TJ Maxx or Macy’s on sale new for that price! Also, you do not get an itemized receipt when purchasing, so I had no idea how much I paid for what. I wanted to double check the pricing on something, but wasn’t able to do it. In summary, great store with lots of selection, but pricing may be a bit high for used clothing.

Having shopped @ hundreds of consignment shops on the east and southern coasts, N’Used far surpasses any so far– artistic displays of beautiful items, large uncluttered space, convenient location, ease of consignment process, etc.
Who of us love waiting in traffic jams inside the beltway? Although I live near Arlington, the drive on the Dulles Access Road takes less than 30 min. and moves @ a great pace.
You or your Moms may even be reminded of the joy of shopping @ our wonderful Garfinkel Dept. Stores which sadly closed in 1990 after 85 yrs. of serving D.C. Remember not having to look everywhere for a sales associate?
Rosemary and her sweet staff attend to each and every detail ensuring their clients have a fun shopping experience. If you haven’t visited yet, you’re in for quite a treat!

BEWARE! My initial consignment appointment/​experience with this shop was positive, BUT the only way to drop off items after that and be sure you receive a receipt and acknowledgement of your items is by appointment. Unfortunately, appointments are made for about three months out which is a Catch 22, since by then your items are often out of season and will be rejected.
To drop off items without waiting three months for an appointment, they refuse to give you an itemized receipt of the items dropped off so you have no proof of what you entrusted to them. I dropped off three expensive jackets and a designer purse which they now claim that they did not receive. These items could be somewhere in the store, could have already been sold without being attributed to my account, or they could have been removed from the store without ever being logged in. So my items have vanished and because I stupidly accepted their no itemized receipt policy, I have no recourse. There is no protection for the consignee!!! Avoid this shop!

I visited N’Used for the first time this weekend. I was looking for something for a Halloween costume, and even though they didn’t have what I was looking for, I stayed and looked around the store. I found a beautiful winter coat and the ladies (owner Rosemary and helper Sheila) were very helpful regarding evaluating the fit of the coat. I decided to get it and I’m so happy with my purchase! The clothing and accessory selection is varied and interesting and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely return!

What a gem! Best consignment store I’ve been to on the area by far. The clothes are NICE, and everything is in really good condition– which I feel like is always a hit or miss at consignment stores. They have lots of reasonably priced branded items. I loved the staff– so helpful and friendly. Definitely going back.

I really like the concept of N’Used — part of the inventory is used, and part of it is new. It’s fun to mix and match different pieces, especially if you pair something modern and fresh along with something older and from another era. Plus, the staff here is so friendly and helpful!
When you go to consignment shops, available items are basically a function of the type of person living in that area. I must say, the people living around N’Used have really great style! There is wonderful variety from clothes to accessories to jewelry. I love how the store is clean and organized; items aren’t randomly placed all over. The pricing is overall pretty good, although I’ve seen a few items that were, in my humble opinion, overpriced. It’s cool that the clothing tags include arrival dates.
It definitely depends on what you are looking for to decide whether or not this place suits your needs. During a random search, I was able to find a great short-​sleeved sweater for less than $ 20. I saw other cool items to try on (the fitting rooms are nice) but they didn’t fit well. Even still, I’ll be back.
Bottom line: this is a great consignment shop for your clothing and accessory needs! The staff is awesome, too.

I found this cute shop on Unilocal.My boyfriend and I are in town for a family wedding. Of course I out of some shopping. I’ve been searching for a couple of unique and classy dresses for some upcoming event brunches. Well, I walked into the perfect boutique! Found several items I feel in love with. Prices range from very reasonable to upscale. I highly suggest taking a walk through this gem. Customer service is warm, helpful, and welcoming. Enjoy! I didn’t read all the reviews so I thought this place was a thrift store. ahahahahaha… no. I honestly did not stay long because I am *definitely* not a high-​class type of customer — my clothes and purses comes from Target. HOWEVER, if you want high-​class items without paying high-​class prices, I totally recommend this place. It’s clean, it’s organized, the items looked great and the lady behind the counter was friendly. I was totally a fish out of water, but nobody looks at me like I was some type of alien.
However, if you *are* looking for thrift items, right around the corner is the Bargain Loft of Herndon-​Reston. :-)

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile but keep getting busy. Definitely says something that this is still on my to do list! I had only been to Nused once before. It was a Tuesday night and I was going to the doctor in the adjacent lot. I found out that the pain I had been in for 2 weeks was due to dislocated ribs. I was feeling down and out and thought I’d pop into Nused for a pick me up. Linda and Rosemary were closing in 15 min but were still super friendly and showed such sympathy for my pain. They made me feel at ease. In addition to buying 2 cute tops I left feeling lighter and happier and wishing I worked there or could share a bottle of wine with Rosemary and Linda. Really good place and good people!

Best consignment store ever. Nicest owners. Such a friendly atmosphere. I work in the shopping center and coming into their store is like my lunchtime therapy. Family owned and the daughter of the owner (I believe) is a teen but so professional and knowledgeable on the clothing — it’s very impressive. Love it here.

The staff here is fabulous! I was new to the consignment process and Rosemary and Linda walked me through it. I like that new items are coming in all season. In addition, if your items don’t sell you can pick them up or have them donated to a local charity that supports women.
From a customer service standpoint, the staff always greets you as you walk in and they are so helpful if in search of a particular item. After losing a ton of weight, I was in search of a gala dress. Rosemary saw me looking helpless and knew immediately that the perfect dress in my size was on the rack. I walked out with a gorgeous David Meister black dress and sparkly Stuart Weitzman shoes — all a hit at the event! Most recently, I scored a Nanette Lepore jacket for $ 80. This is a great local business!

If you like to get high-​end clothes and accessories for good prices this is your place!
As a shopper, I get compliments and asked «where did you find that!» ALL the time. Finds include Hunter rainboots, boho sundresses, and a Kate Spade bag. All pristine and gorgeous!
As a consigner, it’s a 50⁄50 split and prices are set at fair values. When an item doesn’t sell you have the opportunity to pick it back up. I’ve made some good cash here!

I loved this shop already, but they really came through for me last fall. I was going to appear on an episode of House Hunters and wanted to look professional and current. The staff here jumped in and helped me put together a couple of great, fun outfits — including accessory and shoe advice, incorporating things I already had, too. Fun, friendly, and fabulous. This is definitely my go-​to, first-​stop clothing store.

What a great consignment shop! Best in the NOVA area I’ve been to. The ladies are super sweet, especially LINDA who helped me «narrow down» what I really wanted and what would just sit in my closet. She was so friendly and helpful, really knew good style. The prices are right. Got a gorgeous vintage Coach bag, some CABI items and an old navy dress. Love my stuff. Will def be back!

I love this place! I am re — locating to Reston and my wardrobe is split between Ohio and Virginia. I needed a few business appropriate outfits in a short amount of time. I really want to like this place. but $ 200+ for a used DVF dress?
I used to live in NYC and see authentic DVF dresses at reputable consignment shops for $ 119 – 140. this place is overpriced.
I’m going to give it another shot and hopefully update my review.

I love this shop. It’s one of the best consignment stores in Northern Virginia. They have a large selection that is really well organized and the prices are good – generally a little cheaper than I expect (i.e. I see a jacket I like, guess it’s $ 35 and instead it’s $ 29). They also do voucher deals from time to time that are great. The people working here are always really nice and their dog is a total sweetheart (and I don’t like dogs!). Only downside for me is that it’s far away, but I always find cute things here. Always. Also, the shopping area where it is has a great bakery and a ton of restaurants and other hidden gems.

I love this shop! Rosemary the owner is so sweet and has great customer service skills. I didn’t realize I needed to make an appointment to consign, but when I brought my clothes in, the clerk graciously accessed my items and got me put in the system. And I made money within the month! The items for sale are so cute and fashionable. Definitely check this shop out!
