H2O Pressure Power

For a variety of reasons, unrelated to price, reputation or anything like that, I was not able to hire H20 to perform powerwashing and staining services on my deck. However, when I called I got a responsive, educated gentlemen on the phone who guided me through the types of questions I should be asking other contractors as I continue my search. He didn’t have to do that, and I really appreciated it. I now feel better educated in negotiating with other powerwashing/​stain contractors.

I needed my (very old) deck washed quickly, and I had no idea where to start. I called a bunch of places, but when I got in touch with Neal, he was so responsive and helpful! He sent over Robby who did an amazing job and even worked through a rainstorm to get the job done. The deck was finished in time and it looks beautiful! With overgrown bushes and 2+ years of negligence after moving in, our deck looked pretty dismal before H2O pressure came in. We hired someone else to replace a few rotten boards. Otherwise, H2O washed and stained our deck over a 2 week period with very satisfactory results. They even thrown in free sidling wash, and concrete wash. On top of that, they came back just to touch up our railings with white paint, because the original paint peeled off at variable places, although this was not in the original agreement or job description. Now our deck look pretty decent, and we expect it to at least last 2 – 3 years this way.
Overall, it has been a superb experience working with Mike and others who came to the house. They are always courteous and considerate.

Neil and Rob did an outstanding job. I have a trex deck that unfortunately had grown mold. They were knowledgeable and helped me come up with a solution that restored my deck making it look brand new. They were also very reasonably priced. They did a beautiful job and called to follow up to make sure I was pleased with everything. Very professional and friendly.

Mike was great. I call H2O at the end of the deck cleaning/​sealing season and Mike got right to me. MIke was on-​time and professional. He worked around the weather to ensure we were getting the best quality service. The deck and fence never looked better. Thanks Mike and H2O.

An article in our HOA newsletter planted the seed in my brain that our deck was getting kinda beat up and in need of getting washed and sealed.
There were two deck-​cleaning /​pressure washing company ads in the HOA newsletter with coupons, but just because they can afford an advertisement in our HOA newsletter doesn’t make them a good business. So I checked out those two companies on the BBB website. One was a «C» and one was an «F,» and both had many unresolved complaints from customers.
So I turned to the BBB business listings to find a company that had a good rating. I asked for estimates from three companies that had good ratings on BBB. I ended up choosing H2O Pressure Power in Reston because (a) they responded to my phone calls, and (b) they had the lowest cost of the two companies that responded and provided me estimates.
I was pleased that Neal at H2O Pressure Power was very responsive and quick to return any phone call or email I sent him. I had some minor communication issues with the guy who actually came to do the work at our house. He was supposed to come Wednesday, so I was going to move all the patio furniture off my deck on Tuesday evening. Well, Tuesday about 1 a.m. he sent us an email reminding us he would be coming «tomorrow,» then he proceeded to show up Tuesday mid-​day to start work on our deck. I fed this back to Neal, and he said he would address the issue. Again, Neal was very responsive and helpful.
If I could go back and do this experience again, I would be happy to hire H2O pressure power wash again, but I think I would ask them to hold off on sealing the deck and allow me time to get out my sander and at least sand the handrails. Alternatively, maybe I would keep going down the list on the BBB website and find a place that sands, too (albeit at a higher cost).
