I can not say enough about how easy it was to sell my last home working with this fantastic Team of Ladies. I have know Marie Hoffman for over 20 years. She was the realtor I went to when I wanted to purchase my first home. She was extremely patient with me and helped me find the home I spent 13 years in. When it came time to sell it, The Team stepped in. They staged it, put it out on the internet and Wha La– I had 75 people walk through at my open house, 7 offers and a back up offer. They were very realistic about the selling price and it sold over the asking price. I trust them totally knowing they have my best interest in mind. This Team was available to me at all hours. Marie would get back to me with answers to all my concerns. Dena was my go to lady who walked with me through the process of getting my home ready to sell. She took care of the repairs and it was hassle free. She was kind and professional. Carol came in after it went to escrow and had all situations handled. They walked me through the paperwork which was really appreciated. Lisa brought the signs, the flyers and put «in escrow «up which made me very happy. When my house sold, they all called me to congratulate me on the sale. This Team knows what they are doing. They worked very hard to find the right buyers. The Hoffman Murphy Team is an experience you don’t want to miss. Put them on your bucket list!

I was referred to Daryn from a very good friend. She’s become part of my family now. :) I was trying to buy my first place with the approval of my mom. Mind you, I’m the youngest and the only child of my parents. I’ve never moved away from home and buying a place of my own and moving away was a huge deal. My parents had HUGE restrictions. And Daryn was so patient and kind and understanding through the whole process. I’ve blocked it out now, but I think it took 3 years to find the right place. My parents didn’t speak English, Daryn didn’t speak Chinese, but they somehow sorted it out. Daryn has always looked out for me as if I was her own daughter. I definitely looked at some places where she stood her ground as a mom and said «you’re not going to live here and your mom won’t approve». I loved that. Buying my first place was really scary, all the paperwork. All the legal jargon and trying to figure out the cost, the offer, insurance … everything! Daryn was there for me every step of the way. I’ve learned things from Daryn during the process that I still use in my daily life today!
Of course when I made a bid on what was to be mine today, she was out of town. She did all she could until she had to leave and Sue stepped in without a missed beat. They are so fantastic. And to this day, I still consider them as part of the family and when it comes time to buy or sell or buy more, I will only partner with The Hoffman Murphy Team. Everyone in the office has been so sweet and helpful. I can’t thank them enough for all that they’ve done. And they don’t forget you after your purchase!

I stopped by an open house and RE Agent was less than impressive, so I called broker. The owner Ms. Hoffman was nice enough but doesn’t return calls. RE Agent, Laura, didn’t know her product and wasted my time. She was late for an appointment she already had changed at the last minute, unprofessional in appearance, and still didn’t know her product when my husband and I looked at the property. Luckily we were not interested in the house; definitely not interested in RE agents that are unknowledgeable, untimely, and have problems with time commitments. Most egregious was Laura relaying an untrue story to another very professional real estate agent in the South Bay, leaving inaccurate information. I wanted to relay the facts to her broker, but she didn’t return the call so I’m taking this opportunity to relay my experience publicly so others will be able to steer clear. There are too many professional, courteous and knowledgable RE Agents in the South Bay to ever have to deal with one like Laura. Shorewood, South Bay Brokers, Remax… all are heads above!

We can’t say enough good things about our agent Daryn! She listened to our wants and needs and spent a long with us going over every detail. Each listing she sent was so close to what we wanted! This made us feel encouraged the whole way through, which by the way was very quick! We looked at a few homes, and then Daryn found us our home just like that! At each listing we looked at Daryn was always punctual, friendly and even met with us nights and weekends. She reassured us constantly and was extremely professional and caring. She was very considerate of every aspect of our lives including the fact that we have a small child. She found us the most amazing home in beautiful Holly Glen, with everything we dreamed of! She is very knowledgeable of the area, and taught us as we went. Now living there we are even happier than we could ever imagine. The entire area is children our sons age, and we smile every time we pull up to our new home. Daryn truly went above and beyond for us and we can’t thank her enough! Thank you Daryn!

We won the first home we made an offer to in this competitive market, thanks to none other than their expert advice during the bidding war! The sale of our home was also very successful; we received multiple offers and ended up accepting a great offer that was well above our asking price with in one week of the listing. We loved that they give their clients staging consultation and referrals to various professionals such as painters, contractor, flooring guy, etc. We are very happy we found them, and we look forward to working with them again in the future. Amazing team! Team is exactly the word to use. They worked cohesively and diligently to get our home in Redondo Beach sold. We had a broker’s open house on a Thursday, open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, 8 offers over asking on Monday! Sale was smooth and seamless with their expertise.
They helped up stage our house so it looked like something you’d see on TV or in a magazine ad. This took some planning, but they arranged for most of it.
Customer service is their strength. They were caring and thoughtful with the whole process while also being realistic with what needed to be done and telling us everything.
They know the market well! We were surprised with the asking price they suggested (higher than we thought), we trusted their expertise, and ended up selling for above their price suggestion.
If you’re buying or selling, I would recommend them to anyone. They will help the most novice to the highly experienced buyer/​seller. They walked us through every step of the way. Unfortunately, we moved out of the area and they won’t be able to help us find our new home :(

I recently purchased a townhouse through the Hoffman Murphy team, closing in August 2013, and I was extremely satisfied with the level of service I received. I was a first time home buyer, purchasing by myself, and working with Laura was very easy. She helped to walk me through the process and answer all of my questions thoroughly (I’m an engineer, so I had a lot). The team has a very good knowledge of the area and local trends, plus they utilize and provide you with good resources and technologies to make your search easier. Laura showed me a wide variety of properties and even ones she may not have thought were as good a fit for me, just to satisfy my curiosity, until I felt I found the best place, overall.
Due to some minor conflicts between new lender guidelines and the HOA’s budget, the escrow period stretched out to significantly longer than our original contract. The source of the issue was out their direct control, but they were able to work every angle possible to keep the deal alive and eventually close it. If it had not been for their good relationships with the mortgage broker and selling agent, so that they could all work together effectively, I don’t know if we could have worked it out. They even arranged for some special circumstances, such as a temporary rental agreement with the owners while everything was being worked out, in order to accommodate my timeline needs. This made the move from my old place to the new property relatively easy, given the circumstances. It was definitely a frustrating situation to be in at times, but I feel that they went above and beyond what most other agents would have done to make the process as smooth as possible under the circumstances.
The team was always very responsive and easy to get a hold of via phone, email, text, etc. and they kept me updated every step of the way. I was traveling during a good portion of the process and I was able to easily keep in touch and sign documents remotely to keep the process rolling. If you want a team of nice people who are easy to work with and effective at getting done whatever is necessary to close your deal, then I highly recommend you choose the Hoffman Murphy team.

My mom passed away 9 months ago and as Executor I had 2 houses to sell. With the expert help and advise of Maria and Sue the houses were put on the market and both were in escrow within 4 days of the listing! One house needed fairly extensive repairs and the «Team» organized everything so I had no worries. The houses looked so fabulous with the staging. I highly recommend using the Hoffman Murphy Team!

The Best in the South Bay and it’s true! Having come from out-​of-​state, we were totally ignorant of the area and where exactly would be the perfect place for us to live. The minute they get a sense you won’t be using them for both sides of a deal, they won’t give you the time of day. I told them there was a chance I would use a family member as an agent and they stopped returning my calls. My husband and I used the Hoffman Murphy team to sell a home, and they did such an amazing job that even though we were looking some distance out of their «home» territory, we insisted they help us on purchasing our current home.
