Rosa fed us through the winter with warm wonderful enchiladas. The service is so sweet and personal. They actually care about us, you can tell its sincere. We are greeted graciously as customers they know well by now. I should say they actually treat us like family so glad to see us. We love the new– not so new now owners. They carry the traditional delicious food we go there to enjoy. The prices are fair every day not just Monday or Tuesday. They accommodate my husbands choice of salad vs rice and beans along with 2 cheese enchiladas. I order the same with an occasional taco along with 1 enchilada. My right arm was in a sling for 6 weeks and we counted on them for many nights we just wanted a good warm meal… made by someone else than me. The location and parking is great and easy. They are a vital part of our community. Give them a try and see if it doesn’t satisfy that warn need.

I love this place! I have been going Rosas several years now. I haven’t found any other local, family owned places that give you the feeling of an authentic Mexican restaurant. The owner is extremely nice and responsive. My favorite are the flash crispy tacos. I’m sure everything is good there, but I can’t resist getting those chicken tacos every time I go! I would highly recommend this place to anybody that wants a nice, tasty Mexican dish without breaking the bank! I will definitely continue going to Rosa’s !!!

The restaurant has been in business since 1973 and I can see why. Good food! The large, round, yet light, chips were served warm with a really tasty salsa. The service was friendly and the restaurant has a nice casual feel. I had the chicken tacos combo and it was very good. Plenty of chicken in the tacos with the right amount of lettuce and cheese. Good stuff! Parking is tricky for first timers like me and you can park behind the building. I give it 4.5 Stars.

The service is always friendly and prompt. The food is mediocre. If you are not of Mexican descent or any other latino community you may be much more inclined to call it great. It is more flavorful than some I have had in the area. The pricing is a bit high for the rating it has it needs to be upgraded to $$. The place is never packed and it is easy to get a quick bite. I would stick with the burritos and tacos, that is my recommendation. I have eaten here more times than I can count due to its proximity to me. The convenience and friendly service is the only reason, I frequent the place. Give it a shot, maybe you will like it. Mexican cuisine cotnnesiour’s and experts alike, you have been forewarned.

I was sorely disappointed the last time I was at Rosa’s. The quesadilla was plain and bland. It’s something that I can make at home, and I consider myself a terrible cook. I can’t even remember what else we ordered. The experience was such a let down. Rosa’s is within walking distance from me. I really want it to be good, but it wasn’t.

Great food! The chips and salsa are like none other! I had chicken enchiladas(my personal favorite on ANY Mexican menu) and Flan. I have to say, the flan was the best I’ve ever had. Rich, creamy — just the right density. I’ll go back and recommend to others and authentic Mexican meal any time of day.

Carnitas from Rosa’s Restaurant. I’m a very difficult critic when it comes to Mexican cuisine. It’s just not one of my top choices. Most likely because it seems greasy, carb heavy, fatty, with lazy flavor combos and sloppily put together. But since living in the Southland I have found some places and some dishes that stand up with any cuisine. Carnitas is one of those dishes. Went to Rosa’s late night and had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The Carnitas was great savory, salty, porky flavor. It came with some nice salsa that was well balanced. The refried beans were nice because they weren’t too fatty and had more bean flavor than lard. Not a healthy dish, but worth it due to the flavor(kind of).

Saw they were open until 11:30 pm online so made the trip there. Door was open and a We’re Open sign displayed as well as customders there. However they informed me they were closed. It was 10:10pm. I even asked if I could just order something to go since it said they were open. They refused. Lame place with horrible customer service.

Love the traditional food and drinks. Got a wet burrito and horchata. Pretty good place to eat in Hermosa Beach.

My picky eater son will eat three crispy shell chicken tacos. I love them too and the chile rellenos. We always get the same thing, but I’m sure the rest of the menu is just as good. Chips and fresh salsa are also tasty.

I love Mexican food and asked the waiter to bring me his favorite dish since I had never been here before. I had chile verde, which is pork in a green salsa with rice, beans and some lettuce. Everything was great. Delicious food, brought out very quickly, parking was actually ok, considering it’s right on PCH. The only minor ding was the waiter took forever to bring out our water.

I had a to-go order, so this review is based solely on their food and not so much their customer service. I asked for chips and salsa, and chile verde. I open the chip bag and am welcomed by a bunch of tostadas, not tortilla chips. Personally, I love fresh tortilla chips with my salsa, and think they are a staple to any Mexican restaurant, so these tostadas were a big miss. The salsa did not taste or look fresh either. Other than that, the chile verde was okay.

Old school restaurant since 1973. This popular spot along PCH has some pretty good food. At first I thought I am going to end up with some bland gringo style Mexican food but the Pork Super Deluxe burrito Chile Verde was very flavorful. It’s a good size burrito but I was able to finish it off without a problem. The service was fast but I didn’t get a refill of my chips and water, the hot salsa is very good.

I’ve been a regular at Rosa’s since my first visit! I’ve tried several dishes, even breakfast, and enjoyed them all. If I’ve gone running that day or after a heavy workout, it’s the Super Burrito Deluxe!!! Beef chunk is my go to filling, but have tried a few and not afraid to mix it up. Great chips and salsa. And, you should definitely order some guacamole! The folks that work there are super nice and always make us feel at home. Another bonus, open later than most restaurants in LA/SouthBay! I swear, sometimes I think I workout like crazy just so I can eat.

Here I go… Ordered pick up for around 1230pm on a Tuesday. Ordered machaca deluxe burrito, asada quesadilla, and chips and salsa. Got there, people were nice read my order back to me and had it ready in 10 mins. Great! Get home literally 5 minutes away food still hot, great sign. The machaca burrito okay, nothing special, the quesadilla pretty good, the salsa to die for. I will be back to try other items on the menu. Pretty good place so far.

The best things about Roas’s are the low prices, large portions and proximity to home(if you live in Hermosa). I typically just order take out(it’s pretty bleh inside) and it’s always ready fast. There’s lots of combo selections to choose from. I typically stick with enchiladas combos as they’re my favorite thing on the menu here. Tasty and plentiful sauces. I haven’t had any non-enchilada items in a while so won’t speak to those. Basically if I’m in the mood for enchiladas I come here, but have other go-to places for tacos, burritos, etc.

I really wish I could rate this place higher. The staff is VERY friendly, awesome hours, it’s nicely decorated, and it’s right across the street from our house! Unfortunately, the food has always been just OK. We’ve been here a couple times when we were hungry and didn’t want to drive somewhere. Big portions but it’s usually too salty. The chips are great because they come out warm, but the guacamole is overpriced for a tiny bowl… probably better to stick with the salsa. I see from reviews that the carnitas are delicious… maybe I’ll give the place another try and order that.
