Amazing Place! I come in once a month. The ladies are so nice and helpful! They do a great job! Love them and will continue coming here as long as I work in this area! The polish lasts soooooo long! Longer than any other place I’ve tried!

Absolutely LOVE Nancy Nails & Spa! The ladies are always very accommodating. They always seem very happy to see me. I have been going for years. They are clean and efficient. Nancy clearly appreciates her customers. A clean and comfortable salon. I recommend a mani pedi to anyone who is looking for a good place to go!

This place is walking distance from my house so this has become my new nail salon. I am always happy with my nails. The ladies are super sweet and there is never a wait! Fair prices… I paid $ 51 for old gel removal, gel manicure and spa pedicure. They accept cards but not for tip so remember some cash!

Even though I always have a great experience at Nancy Nails & Spa, I had an exceptionally great experience this last time and I thought, I should give them a shout out! I brought in my elderly mother and the staff was sooooo nice and helpful. They helped her out of the car, into the message chair, and back out again. During the mani-​pedi, they were gentle and made her feel special and pampered. She’s still admiring her nails a week later. I love the friendly hellos every time I walk in. Great place!

I have been going to Nancy for YEARS her girls are super sweet and they ALWAYS remember your name. They have great spa chairs and excellent waxing. They have any kind of manicure Gel/​acrylic/​regular that you could want. Prices are good and my personal favorites are Nancy herself as well as Annie and Kathy! just give them a call ahead of time to make sure they have space and you won’t be disappointed!

I had been here a few times for manicures but every time I left I was bleeding or hurt somewhere on my fingers. I had acrylics and wanted to get them taken off and without soaking them, the lady took tips from an acrylic set and used them to pry and dig off my acrylics! I kept saying ow and I was bleeding and the lady didn’t stop or say anything. Will never ever go back and try to tell others not to either.

I was completely grossed out by this nail salon. I had a manicure and pedicure done here and the manicurist was rough. I was worried when she pulled out instruments that looked like they were used on the previous client. Were they even sterilized? When I was getting my treatment I looked over at the nail technician by the front desk who I think was Nancy, the owner, having one of the other technicians pick what I assume was lice out of her hair. Why else would someone be going through someone else’s hair at the scalp with a fine tooth comb and picking out something small and placing it on the counter. EEEWWW! Absolutely disgusting. I am glad that I didn’t need to use my credit card because she was the one that would have rung it up. I paid and left, never to return. That was about year ago but even now when I drive by I shudder to think of that place. I should have posted this sooner to hopefully save a few people.

My new place for nails! This is my second time here and the staff is so friendly! I came at 6:50 and even though they close at 7, they still took me. They’re really caring and the service is amazing. I highly recommend!!!

I tried this place for a pedi because my usual salon is closed on Sundays. There’s a nice vibe to this place – all the staff are very friendly and you definitely don’t get the feeling that they are all talking about you in Vietnamese. Even the clientele were chatting amongst themselves. Phan was very friendly and did an «ok» job on my toes, not perfect, painted over a gob of unremoved skin on the side of my big toe which is (to me) noticeable and unexpected given the $ 20 price tag (+ tip of course). May not patronize them again for that reason unless I don’t have time to go to my regular salon.

Love this place– been going for 6 years. The prices are very reasonable and the polish lasts longer than any other place I’ve been. Massage chairs are great and the people always greet me and are very kind.

Been visiting since 2004 and have been loyal ever since. I absolutely love Nancy, Liz, Cathy, Jennifer and everyone else. Fantastic environment, kind service and my nails and wax is always perfect. Thanks Nancy for the best nail salon in Hermosa Beach.

I love this place! I love that Nancy and Liz always remember me even if it has been months and they always remember what we talked about last time. My gels always last three plus weeks which for me is very impressive, most places the gel only last a week or so. They use brand name gel which is even more awesome so you know they are good quality! I will be back thanks for the amazing service Nancy and Liz!

Over the years I’ve Unilocaled a few Nail Salons and I’m overdue to give Nancy Nails a BIG shout-​out.
5+yrs back, I was a customer of Nancy Nails, I tagged along with my friend for a mani/​pedi. I thought this was a nice place, not the closest to me, but nice and clean.
I started back at Nancy Nails 4months ago, with my 2 daughters… they are nail snobs! Both are very particular customers and we not currently happy with the previous visit to our neighborhood salon.
Here’s the crazy thing: we walked in and Nancy, the owner RECOGNIZED ME from 5+yrs ago!!! WOW!
Both daughter had mani/​pedis and I’m a pedi only girl. We have been exclusive and are back with Nancy, Elizabeth and all the fabulous ladies of this salon… we couldn’t be happier!
Here are our reasons:
1)Elizabeth gives the BEST and MOST DETAILED spa-​pedi in the south bay. No lie! I wear mostly sandals yr. round and my pedi looks great for a month! Polish is perfect and the massage is to die for.
2)Waxing, waxing, waxing! No more separate trips to have brows and lip done! They take care of both daughters here… and they leave bump-​free with NO REDNESS!
Not sure if they do bikini waxing, I’ll ck. next time.
3)Gel nails. If you like Gel nails, get them done here! As I’d mentioned, we were going to another salon (walking dist. from our house and a cheaper), but Gel was a little shabby after the 4^th visit. The ladies at Nancy Nails are fabulous with Gel application and NOT RUSHED! Daughter #1 is a water polo player (in the pool daily 4hrs+), she gets a Gel mani and her nails are PERFECT until the next visit… she goes 3−4wks. AMAZING! And it’s not expensive! Water polo daughter has a reg. spa pedi and the polish LASTS, CHIP FREE for 3wks!
4)Everyone working at Nancy Nails is NICE. Not phony nice, but REALLY NICE. I love conversing with the ladies, we talk about our kids together or sometimes if you just want some «quiet time», they respect that.
5)Men are fans too! My husband (God love him…)had some gnarly looking toes and I asked him to go with me to Nancy’s on New Years Eve afternoon. They worked on his toes for longer than normal (no extra charge!)and de-​funked his feet!!! He actually fell asleep in the chair! We went out that evening and he showed everyone his «beautiful feet»!! He is definitely a fan of Nancy Nails!
6)Parking: Just pull into the lot in front of the salon. It’s not a huge lot, but it’s free parking.

Nancy nails does a decent job. Granted I’m a dude, and I’m on only my 4−5^th pedicure of my life. In no way are these women gentle, in fact I think one had a belt sander and a blow torch in her tool kit. But, hey it’s a serviceable place to sit in a massage chair and get the guy crap dug out of my toes.
I have no idea how to cut toenails and usually one or two would be so sharp they grow into daggers. My girlfriend didn’t like me stabbing her legs at night with my ninja sword toes and she won’t go near them with my jangly hockey feet. 30 years in skates makes the toes a set of just nasty mangled little nubs. At least I’m trying here. Pedicures are good for the feet and help the relationship.

Nancy nails is a great salon. The ladies are lovely. You can always get in and out quickly and count on quality service. They are so welcoming and value their customers. Fantastic salon!

Need a great wax? This is the place!
Was forever loyal to my old salon until Annie and Tammy came here and I’m so glad they did! Salon is very clean, people are really friendly and prices are more than fair for the services offered.
As much as it pains me to give away my best kept secret, I’ve been going to Annie for many, many years for the best Brazilian wax around. Admittedly, in a pinch a few times when I had to go to someone else, I went to one of the specialty waxing (and much more expensive) places in the valley and will say that Annie does a better job for a much lower price. She is very professional and has always made me (someone who has always been pretty modest) feel comfortable.
Tammy also gives a great mani/​pedi so ask for her too! Nancy, the owner is awesome. I can’t say enough great things about this place!

Unfortunately, after 12 years, I am no longer going back to Nancy.
Her attention to detail has slipped over time, and I often find that I go home with nail polish still on my cuticles (hands and toes) if I don’t inspect closely enough.
The final straw happened when my friend and I showed up for our appointments this weekend, and then we waited to wait 45 MINUTES (yes, 45 minutes) because she had taken too many walk-​ins. In the end, she had someone else do my nails (and she did my friend’s even though I asked her to do mine). When I told her the 45 minute wait was not OK, she told me I shouldn’t have made a late afternoon appointment. Last time I checked, it’s not a good idea to blame the customer, especially when she took the appointment.
I’ve been loyal for a long time, but it appears Nancy has put a priority on volume over her long-​time customers (who have brought in several referrals over the years).

One of my requirements for a nails salon are the comfy massage chairs… it’s part of the whole relaxing experience! After much searching on Unilocal,we decided to come here because it was close and the reviews were pretty good.
3 pedicures and 1 manicure = about $ 80, minus tip. Not too shabby, considering one of the pedicures was french tip with nail art.
We walked in on an early afternoon in the middle of the week, and it was empty. I’m assuming that’s because everyone was at work, hopefully. My sister’s technician was chatty and friendly, but mine was a sourpuss and seemed put out when I asked for a flower design. All in all, they did a pretty good job with the trimming and scrubbing and painting. It was cleaner than a lot of other places in the south bay, I’ll say that much.
FYI– they only accept cash tips.

I’ve been to a lot of nail shops in the area, and this is one of my favorites. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, they always do a great job, and the prices are very reasonable.
I always get a pedicure with the french tips, and regardless of who does it, it always turns out great, and it lasts for about 3 weeks too!

Looks like your typical Vietnamese salon in a run down area but it was probably one of the best pedicure experiences I’ve ever had.
The ladies are genuinely friendly here and do little things to make everything enjoyable (i.e. reminded us to get magazines, re-​did my friend’s nail completely when she messed up on the flower a little, had great attitudes, made small talk with us, etc.). Although it doesn’t like any high-​end salon – well it isn’t by far – I would definitely turn myself into a regular if only I lived here. You can tell that there are many regulars here; almost 90% of the other patrons were because the ladies greeted them by name.
I got a spa pedicure for $ 20. I don’t know if it was because we came right when it opened – at 10 am on a Saturday – but the ladies took their time. My friend and I both got spa pedis and it took about 50 minutes total. That’s longer than normal but we weren’t in a rush and the U.S. Open was playing on their LCD TV right in front of us. Even better.
I noticed another regular come in and she said she needed a manicure AND a pedicure in 30 minutes (I guess her man was waiting in the car) and they actually were able and glad to do it! It’s good to see that they clearly respect their patrons’ requests.
Btw, they only take credit/​debit with charges of at least $ 20.
