I’ve been a long time customer of JC. I ALWAYS love how he is so creative with new ideas for my hair!!! What I enjoy the best each time I come here, is the EXCELLENT customer service they give me and ll there customers. I definitely recommend him and his staff, they know what they are doing and so professional. He’s saved me Frm dry brittle hair to gorgeous shiny hair.

In lllove with my hair. My reg hair dresser had to cancel and I needed a hair cut BADLY before leaving out of town. Jc did a phenomenal job! Super professional — he rocked the a-​line short cut. Couldn’t be happier.

I was referred to JC and I gotta say, he is the the guy to go to! I originally fell in love with my best friends hair color (referral) and decided to stop by just to check it out made an appointment and was incredibly happy with my results! I went from brunette to an ombré. JC and his staff are very polite and attentive. The salon itself is very nice and clean. Definitely going back and keeping JC as my hair stylist.

I have been going to JC for a few years now. He is the one and only person I trust with my hair. He was able to give me the hair style I had always dreamed of. I made the mistake of going somewhere else last year and it was the worst mistake ever! I will never trust anyone else with my hair. Only JC for me!

I am going to write this review in hopes that this doesn’t happen to anyone! I apologize in advance to those who will read this as I know this will be a long one. I have been JC’s customer for a very long time and I would drive from the San Fernando Valley. So, I was a faithful client of his… until the most imaginable happened. I went in to get an Ombré look that I really wanted back in November 2014. I showed him a picture and asked him if he could do it and he said yes. He started the process, by highlighting my hair with foil. I started feeling a burning sensation on my scalp and told him and he started blow drying my hair in the cool setting, then he sent me to the sink and removed it all and started to wash my hair. When I went to sit at the chair I looked at my hair and it was a very brassy color and it looked burned. I told him I didn’t like it. I couldn’t believe that if I had not mentioned I didn’t like the color, he would’ve left it as-​is! He told me he could color it darker and I asked if it would damage my hair more. Of course his answer was no. We proceeded with the color. I could feel my hair falling and when he started combing my hair, it was the most painful experience. He was pulling it and I could see my hair fall in chunks. I was worried. He assured me that all was ok. But it wasn’t. He kept saying that he wasn’t sure how this happened, that it was because my hair was too heavy and that in his «17 years» of experience this has never happened. I do have a lot of hair but it does NOT excuse this. After being in his salon for 8 HOURS, my hair did «look nice» which it was all a cover. I didn’t take the time to look at it in detail because I was already so tired and emotionally drained. So, I paid and still gave him a tip. He gave me a Moroccan oil to take home and told me he will not charge me for it, but just so I know it is a $ 60 bottle. (I went online and it is $ 43) When I arrived home, I looked at my hair and it was horrible. My hair had been burned in parts from the inside. The hair on the outer part was covering it. I cried and cried. I couldn’t believe it. After listening to my family and friends advice, I decided to call him a week later. It took a lot out of me to call, but I knew I had to. I told him how I felt and that I thought it was unfair that I paid. He was very understanding and offered to give me a full refund. Which he did. I felt better by this and thought wow he is trying to fix his mistake, which I commend him for. He then text me that he would love for me to come in for weekly shampoo treatments. Which I right away responded and took him up on his offer. I didn’t hear back from him until a week ago that I sent him a text and he told me to come in on Friday. I went in hopes that he would genuinely help repair my hair. He asked if there were other services aside from the «shampoo treatment» I would like but made it clear that it would not be included in the «on the house» treatment. Regretfully, I agreed for a root touch up. My hair was looking very brassy, but I told him I did not want him to dye it all because I knew my hair was still damaged. He agreed and told me it would be $ 60. He then raved about this new product called Olaplex. Now, my mistake (again) was not researching this product while he had me wait in the chair after washing it out. He went on about this amazing product. Now, if you go online, it is a 3-​step procedure. What he didn’t tell me is that in order to use this product, you have to add it to the dye. Now this is the part that I could NOT believe AGAIN. He kept telling me that this product is not available to clients but only for «professional use», but that I will take the step 3 bottle home. Now if he is giving me this treatment for his horrible mistake, I assumed it would be free, well, NO! When he charged me the $ 60, he said it would be an additional $ 30 for the bottle. Now this is crazy because I wouldn’t be there in the first place, if this didn’t happen! I told him I did not want that bottle if I had to purchase it. He told me that I didn’t have to get it. I felt he took advantage, because he mentioned how he didn’t charge me for dyeing my hair, but it had to be included! He made it clear that he was done with his treatment services. (what happened to weekly?) I am so disappointed and hurt in all of this. A few of my family members advised that I sue him from the beginning, but I am not one to do that. I just feel that I should’ve been treated better this last visit. I felt terrible by it all. He has lost me as a client and I will make sure that all my family members that go to him know of this.

I have been getting my hair done with JC for years, I love that he gives you his opinion and welcomes your ideas as well! I will always travel to see him! He is well worth it! You will not be disappointed… Check him out when you need a NEW look!

Eight years ago I was fortunate enough to have been referred to JC and since then I have never let anyone else cut or dye my hair. I was so happy to have finally found a person that could do highlights and that would not just do any highlights, but the kind of highlights that turned heads! I’ve always been complimented on my hair cuts and my highlights and I owe this to my hair angel, Juan Carlos! Thank you for elevating the self esteem of so many women, we love you and your work. Please don’t ever move so far that we can’t follow you.

I wouldn’t do my hair anywhere else because I love love JC!!! Ever since I can remember he has been doing my hair and we are talking over 10 years!!! He’s always giving me different looks and I have rocked each of them!!! He not only does an amazing job he leaves you feeling amazing !!! I have the confidence in rocking each style and hair color given! Juan Carlos has a talent that not many have and I’m proud to say that he is my hair stylist! If you’re looking to get your hair done, styled, new look this is the place to come !!!

I’ve been going to JC for my hair needs since I was so little! I love all his hair ideas and his creative visions. I’ve never been disappointed with his work and I am so proud that he has his very own studio now. Everyone who walks out of his studio comes out looking like a brand new person and it’s amazing! My experience with this place has been nothing but positive. Juan Carlos, the head hairstylist, has the most wonderful creativity a hair dresser can have.

The team at this hair salon is courteous, great spirited and very attentive. I strongly recommend you coming by for a new hair style, hue, or due.
My favorite part is that they offer nail beautician services. Why not kill two birds with one stone while your hair is getting treated.

I hardly ever write Unilocal reviews, unless the service is really out of this world/​outstanding. JC is that good!
My hair pigment tends to go red, so you have to be really careful when doing highlights on my hair… after visiting multiple hair salons, and being always upset and frustrated, I finally landed at JC’s over 7 years ago and ever since Juan Carlos is the ONLY hairstylist that I allow to touch my hair. He gives me that beautiful golden/​honey tone that I love. He is a true artist!
I now live over 25 miles from JC’s, and the drive is totally worth it! I just got my hair colored today and simply love it…

And cut my Hair, this is one of the worst Haircuts I’ve ever ever Had! I came in with long hair all one length. I asked to cut 3 inches off the back and frame my face with long layers. The hair cut was Very uneven and not what I asked for! I called the owner of the salon told him and ask if he can please fix it. They were all very nice and seemly willing. However this Salon needs major Hair Education on cutting! I told both I don’t use a flat iron! they used it any way! I told them I style my hair back they styled it forward with a funky twist I did not want? Owner is passive aggressive and very heavy handed! And didn’t want to admit he’s hair stylist F*****up my hair! And he didn’t do a good job either. I would never ever recommend anyone here! There all sweet nice people personally, but professionally they lack Hair skills! Very midi occur stylist! They should invest in a higher education about the ART OF HAIR!

I’ve been going to Juan Carlos since I was 15… I’m almost 30! The few times that I have actually gone to someone else (out of necessity because I lived out of state) they have always commented on how beautifully my layers were cut. Every time! He is a true artist and a great person. And just like all the other reviewers, I trust him 100% with my hair. He always knows what will look best with my face and has refused to do things to my hair that he thought would look bad. If you’re looking for a new hairdresser look no further, you have found the best of the best.

Juan Carlos has been my hairstylist for over 12 years now; I have been going back to him ever since. I love the way he cuts & styles my hair, he knows exactly what kind of styles compliments me. I trust Juan Carlos completely as my hairdresser (I’m very picky, therefore, I don’t just let anyone cut my hair). Also, there is something about the way he cuts that keeps my hair growing fast & healthy. Not only is he very talented & knows his job, but you can tell he loves what he does & is very passionate about his business — he’s always in a positive mood! You won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend JC! (I think it’s awesome that he finally gets to run his own hair studio… Felicidades, JC!)
