History
Established in 2003.
Original Akbar was opened in 1976 under Kapal Dev Kapoor. Sons Atul Kapoor and Chef Avinash Kapoor opened this loaction in Hermosa Beach as their 4th venture under the Akbar Cuisine of India banner. They took over this location from Invitation to India. Changed the format, added freshness and a new menu. Now serving South Bay for 10 years, winning ‘Best of South Bay” 10 years in a row. Recieved letter of recommendation from the Mayor of the beach city.
