Brought my MBz there for a minor repair and wound up getting a few other (minor) things fixed that I had no idea were wrong, practically for free. Ralph is great, he explains everything to you before and after the work is done and their prices are more than fair. And if that’s not great, you even get your car back within a day, which for me, isn’t necessary because my MBZ is a second car that I rarely drive, but an important factor for most.
Can’t say enough great things about this repair shop except that if you have a MBZ or BMW like I do, look no further, this is the place to go! You won’t be sorry.

Honestly, I am hesitant to write this because I don’t want them to get too busy for selfish reasons. That being said, they are not only honest, fast and thorough, they are just nice guys. They’ve serviced my wife’s Mercedes since she bought it and they have gone out of the way to explain options and prices. They always get us in and finish the cars in one day sometimes in just hours. Everything they’ve fixed has seemed perfect. They even fixed the console for free. To top it all off, they wash your car when they are done. They are polite, grateful on the phone and will treat you with respect and great customer service. As soon as the warranty runs out on our other car we will definitely let A and R take over. Umm. I do not think so. I may be relying on being cute in the past, knowing the right people or just getting lucking my whole life, but I think paying someone $ 200 for about a half hours work is a bit much. I thought I’d get a quote from a neighbor instead of someone who I only have a professional relationship would be worth a shot. But as it turns out he wants to charge me way, way more than anyone would or should, with or without relations. I may be from Hermosa Beach, but I’m not stupid.Bro.

Called for pricing on a Mbz and they really mark up the parts. They wanted to charge me 246.00 for the same part I can get for 129.00 at o’reilly. Another part I can get for $ 555.00 they charge 800.00. So labor might be cheap they rack up the pricing on parts.

I was quoted those prices and was told they were NOT MBZ parts they are after market. I offered to buy the MBZ part from MBZ and have you install because of how much you were charging for parts. I was told you don’t do that and you charge the parts, that’s how you make a profit. Well that’s how you lose customers! I found a shop in Redondo who was amazing in parts, labor and service. Thanks! I’m glad it worked out this way.

Took my car in since my check engine light was on and they diagnosed it and reset since it was caused by my gas cap not being tight enough. The whole process took 15 minutes but didn’t charge me. They seemed honest and I will come back for my next service.

*Beware of a guy named Andy Fisher (the pseudo-​body shop guy next door to A&R). He fronts like he’s part of the A&R crew and will use their name and reputation to earn your business. Don’t fall for it! I’m paying $ 2K out of pocket to get his «repair» job fixed the right way.

Went back to A&R last week. Allen looked over a used Mercedes I was planning to buy. He drove it, put it on the rack and gave me his take on the car. He spent at least 45 minutes checking the car for me. And didn’t charge me a dime for his time or expertise. Next I brought in my 2006 X5 and A&R did another solid and reasonably priced job keeping that SUV running strong. Thank you A&R.

Alan and Ralph are professional, extremely knowledgeable and competent beyond reproach. I had a pre-​purchase inspection performed on an M3 along with a compression test; they do this for half of what most dealers charge. I was impressed by their honesty and no nonsense approach. A&R will have no problem maintaining there stellar reputation because they focus on long term relationships with their clients. I’ll be recommending them to anyone and definitely plan on returning.

I found Allen and Ralph through a google search «mercedes south bay». As a woman whenever I have had a car problem I’ve always felt like I’m getting ripped off, and today was the first time that I’ve ever felt taken care of.
I can not thank Allen enough for his phone call to me explaining what was wrong, what needed to get fixed and what was still covered by my warranty.
My car was done within just a few hours and they even washed it which is a miracle because it was filthy.
They seem to really know what they are doing, and they have my business as long as I live in LA.

Having leased a 535, 540 and M5, I now own a 740i and have to pay for the maintenance. Allen and Ralph and A & R German Motors are exceptionally competent and nice guys, unlike another local independent on Artesia Boulevad that I wouldn’t let them put air in my tires.
As other’s have, they stand behind their work and if something isn’t right, they typically address it without your having to mention it. I enjoy having my car worked on there and highly recommend their shop.

Allen is my hero!
I live in Sonoma but found my dream BMW at a dealership close to A&R. I wanted to make sure the car was worth the 400 mile drive, so I called Allen and he was so helpful! I’ve never owned a BMW, and was nervous about buying one from a dealership so far away. The dealership dropped the car off and he was able to go over it the same day. He called me only a short while later to tell me what was up.
He gave me peace of mind that the car I found was indeed in great condition. I’ve had the car a week now and couldn’t be happier! I only wish I’d gotten into town early enough to stop by in person to say: Thanks Allen!
