Dr. Carter has been in dentistry for 40 years and has placed well over 8000 dental implants. Most of our staff have been at the practice for over 10 years and are experts in patient care and coordinating with your family dentist. We engage in a great deal of continued education to remain at the forefront of our specialty.

If you have been referred to our office due to periodontal disease, please call to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Periodontal disease accounts of about 75% of tooth loss, and puts you at greater risk for serious health situations such as heart disease and stroke. These outcomes can be prevented with early diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. William J. Carter, D.D.S., M.S., has been practicing periodontics for over 29 years. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry and completed a residency program in periodontics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Business Owner

Dr. William J. Carter, D.D.S., M.S., has been practicing periodontics for over 29 years. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry and completed a residency program in periodontics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Carter began his dental career with the U.S. Military. He served in the Dental Corps from 1972 to 1981, earning Commendations and the Meritorious Service Medal in 1981. Presently, he serves in the United States Army Reserve and is proud to serve the Hermitage community in private practice.

Dr. Carter is married with 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys photography, golf and travel.
