S & S Berry Farm

A couple of things to consider about S & S Berry:
1. This place sell Blackberries: nothing else. Don’t come for any other produce, because they do not sell it. If you want Blackberries in the in late-​June to Mid-​July, this is a great place to pick fresh berries yourself.
2. You have to call to set an appointment. You CAN’T just show up. This isn’t the kind of place that has a full-​time attendant and a shed. This is a private residence that sells you berries. You and they will agree to the time, you show up, and they provide quart containers. You fill as many as you want, you return to the house, he comes out, you pay per quart, and that’s it. The place is very attractive, and the folks are friendly, but the place is nothing. So don’t expect a big place. The sign is small, too. If you’re coming from Hermitage, you may miss it because it’s covered by foliage.
