I’m not going back. Period. I’ve given this place so many chances. I love o Charley’s but I will drive out of my way just to avoid this one. Last time I was there, my server knew nothing about the menu or what draft beer they had. My food didn’t come out right, it actually has yet to come out right. I’m not picky or anything, it’s just miscommunication with the server and the chef I guess. I also had remnants of a dirty napkin in my drink. That’s right, I had gross napkin come up through my straw. It’s always slow too. I probably sat 20 minutes or so just sitting with my empty plate waiting for the server to process my credit card.

Hair in chicken tenders and really soggy twisted chips. Haven’t seen server in awhile to tell him… Update-they did take my meal and drink off ticket.

Although our server was very nice, he was forgetful and not attentive. We ordered an appetizer right away and then ordered entrees about 10 mins later. Our appetizer never came, our server then said«well I’m not gonna charge you for it».(Of course you’re not I never got it.) He didn’t offer to still get it, he simply brushed it off with a oh sorry, I must not keyed it in. Our food did come out in a timely manner however the Caroline Chicken pasta was very runny and bland. My New Orleans Cajun Chicken pasta that was asked to be made without onions had onions. My husband didn’t eat his pasta because it was so runny. And we were still charged full price even after voicing our disappointment.

It pains me to sit down and write this review of my experience at O’Charley’s, because I have loved O’Charley’s and its food for a long time. My mom used to take me there for steak when I was in college. I have eaten there countless times over the years, and I love the food, particularly the bread… their steaks are amazing, as well as their loaded baked potato soup, their salads, and their pastas. Last night, my wife, daughter and I took my cousin and his family to the Hermitage, Tennessee O’Charley’s. This was a special occasion, as we hadn’t seen them in about a year, and when they told us they had never eaten at O’Charley’s, we knew we had to take them there. We arrived at around 8:30pm, and were promptly seated. I’m not sure if our waitress was new or what, but she seemed to be having trouble, although she was very nice. She took our drink orders – most of us wanted water, some with lemon, and some without, and we ordered our meals as well. After a while, she came with our waters, one of which had two lemons, and the rest which didn’t at all. One person didn’t receive a drink at all. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a precursor of what was to come. We waited for her to return for about 10 minutes so that we could tell her that(a) my cousin never received a water, and(b) we would like some bread. My cousin’s son spilled his water across the table, and one of the hostesses brought a few paper towels, and then walked away without asking us if, you know, we might like a replacement water for the one that spilled, or maybe informing our waitress of what happened… nothing like that. She just dropped off a few paper towels and walked back to the front. You might think they were very busy, but that wasn’t the case. Many, many tables were open and there were plenty of hostesses and waiters around. So we cleaned up the water ourselves, and then had two people at the table with no drinks, and we still had no bread. After several more minutes of waiting, and trying to catch any passing waiter’s eye to no avail, we still had not seen our waitress. I finally saw someone who looked like a manager, so I walked up and told him the situation… I explained that one at our table still hadn’t received water, that we had no bread, and I told him about the hostess who just dropped off paper towels and walked away without any follow-up.(maybe it’s just me, but many restaurants would have actually *cleaned up* the water and not made us do it ourselves. After I talked to the manager, it wasn’t too long before our waitress brought the additional waters and quite a bit of bread, so we were happy for the time being. Again, this being my cousin’s family’s first time, I was feeling a little embarrassed that I had suggested this place and talked about how awesome it is. When the food came, my entrée was wrong. I had ordered the cajun chicken pasta, but they brought me some sort of shrimp pasta dish. When I told my waitress(who should have known the order was wrong before bringing it), she said, «I’m going to kill him!» I guess referring to the chef or whoever was back there making food. She took it back, and I watched everyone at the table eat for about 15 minutes while my food was presumably cooking. The manager stopped by and said, «Is everything good?» So I pointed out that, as should have been obvious, I had no food in front of me because I was brought the wrong order. He disappeared again, and that was the last time we saw him. When our waitress brought me my food, as most of our party was finishing their meal, she said the manager was going to take my meal off the ticket. I appreciated that, but it didn’t mean a lot since he never stopped back by to make sure we were happy, and only relayed the message through the waitress. So this was a very disappointing experience, needless to say, and I can’t say I’ll be returning to O’Charley’s any time soon. I don’t know if it’s a problem with this particular location or what, but I certainly left with the feeling that O’Charley’s has gone downhill significantly. Usually in the past, when I have needed to talk to a manager, I felt respected and taken care of, but this time, it felt like he wasn’t all that interested in what was going on with us, nor did he make any real attempt to keep our business. There was no apology or conversation about it… both times I spoke to him, he just listened to what I said and then left to deal with it. It felt like he was doing the bare minimum of what a manager is supposed to do. I’m sure my cousin and his family will never dine there again, and I’m not sure my family will either. It’s a bummer, because I used to really, really love O’Charley’s. One additional note: The door they appapparently use to deliver food to cars is in the back of the restaurant, not far from where we were sitting, blasted us with cold air all night.

I’ve been going to this particular O’Charley’s for a very long time now. The service here is hit or miss. It all depends on what server you get and what kind of mood they are in. The same could be said for the kitchen. One day the potato soup is great and the next day it tastes completely different. I don’t know how there can be such a big difference in the tastes. They all follow the same recipe I assume. There is no stability there either as it seems like a whole new crew everytime I visit. That’s typical restaurant life though, high turnover and not that many service oriented waiters/waitresses. They bar has some ok drink specials, you can get 2 for 1 draft at times and the cocktails are decently priced. The best service I receive is when I sit at the bar. Any place else and I always seem to get forgotten or neglected. I have bad restaurant luck. Lol. On the real, I have received great food & service there on many occasions as well. It truly is hit or miss. Sorry it’s so short, not really much else to say. Good luck!

This place is getting better. They used to be slow and have bad service. I come here more often because they are friendly and the food quality is improved. Surprisingly better than Outback Steakhouse next door

This review is strictly for the bar area, not the dining room. Bartenders are hungry and they let you know it by giving you the best customer service they can possibly give you. They want a nice tip. And I agree. treat the person that is spending his money by eating out, and you deserve a thank you tip. I don’t order much at these restaurants. I know there are no chefs back there, stirring up the hollandaise sauce, he just created. No, no… it’s not that kind of restaurant. It’s a fast food restaurant to get you in and out and back on the road. So if you know how to order, this is a solid fast food meal that you set the health meter. I like the steak salad. Simple chopped salad with a freshly cooked steak that has been sliced and laid on top of the greens. I like bleu cheese dressing and I get a couple of nice size containers of the dressing and they don’t charge me extra.(that I recall). The salmon on the plank is also good, IF the cook on duty doesn’t overcook it. Salads are solid. You can even create your own dish and they will charge you accordingly. I think I created a salad with steak & grilled shrimp with bleu cheese dressing and they made it for me… or I had them put the protein on top of a caesar salad for me. But they accommodated me and that was good enough for me. The waitress keeps the water glass filled. If you desire more napkins. ask. If you would like to order something to go, before you leave, do it! Whatever you want, they will do. I’ve eaten dinner here, at various hours and have never had a problem with a waitstaff employee. Food quality: it is what it is. You can order anything you want, and have it made any way you want. but like I said. there is no chef on duty, creating a new batch of hollandaise sauce. Be realistic, order realistically, and you shouldn’t have a problem. And always ask your server what her name is. They like to be called by their name. ;)

It’s O’Charley’s… a review isn’t even necessary. Basic atmosphere, too cold, too dark. Basic food, tastes like it came frozen and is laden with enough sodium to dry up your insides. Why do people go here? Personally, I had a 20% off coupon and was feeling nostalgic… never again.

Good service. Decent food. Great rolls. Rarely go here due to so many other options that seem more enticing. Three stars mainly for that reason. It is just kind of an average place to go and eat. Not something to get excited about.

I like the food and servers are great. But that hostess… every time ive seen her she looks totally annoyed, never smiles, and never friendly. Total mood kill the second you walk in. I’ve worked in food service and a friendly, cheerful hostess is a huge advantage.

Restaurant is clean and large Hostess had no personality, didn’t greet with hello and was basically a robot. She’s more Interested in chatting with her pals at work than being polite and professional with customer. Visit was on Dec 32014.

Sat in the bar area and had potato soup and prime rib pasta. The food was excellent. Hot fresh and very tasty. Portion was more than enough. Dinner comes with hot rolls that are amazing. I’m 200 lbs and I’m leaving very full. I was impressed with Jeff at the bar. Very attentive and extremely polite. The ambience is nice. Not too soft and not like a sports bar. Bottom line… above average food, better than expected environment and an overall very satisfied customer. I will return to this place again. Many more items on the menu I want to try. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Atmosphere has changed again. Not sure if that’s what this place needs. Better quality of steak would nice. And if you could negotiate better food prices. So you were competitive to the food of Cheddars.

I’ve eaten here almost every week since moving to the area almost two years ago. Need I go any further? Ha! This is undoubtedly one of the better O’Charley’s locations. All of the food is great, the prime rib is irresistible, and the service is second to none. Even though it is a «chain“restaurant, I highly recommend it. Oh, and because it’s so good, you might want to come extra early, or late, to avoid the potentially long wait.

A friend suggested I go here when I said I wanted a steak. This review is only about the food and nothing else. Service was great, but the steak on the other hand was one if they worst steaks I have ever had. Yet on the menu they claim to have hand cut steaks. I ordered it med/rare when it came out it was more on the done side almost well done. It was very tough, it was the worst ribeye I’ve ever had. If you go I would stay away from the steaks on the menu.

If there was a test for O’Charley’s this one would pass. Everyone was friendly and attentive. They happily brought us all the extra sauces, go boxes, refills, Ketchups and A-1 Steak Sauces we asked for. Should I have the urge to visit an O’Charley’s in Hermitage, I would have no hesitation about coming in here.

OHH Charley’s. Where do I start? Maybe with. I will not be going back. but thanks for the comped meal. Service, horrible. WE bussed our own table in the bar area. Cleared plates, wiped table, found napkins, silverware, and menus. I asked the girl for help. she said she was busy and never returned. Our server was a young man. he could tell we were frustrated. Bless his heart I could tell he was nervous and he tried his best so kudos to him. Long island iced tea– found a dead fly in it.(It was replaced but they still charged us for it) Food– not what we ordered. SLOW. stale chips and cold artichoke dip. Our food took over an hour to come out. A group was there 30 minutes before we got there and they didn’t even get their bread until our meals arrived and they were complaining. Another group ordered food and got no attention so they finally walked out. I finally complained to the manager and she said it was because they were short a server. I understand that but then why was she standing around and not lending a helping hand to her employees? I was very disappointed. It was father’s day and I instead of enjoying my time with my father, we talked about nothing but the service. What a waste of 3 hours.

Had the Teriyaki seseame chicken… horrible. Tasted like warmed up chinese food. The grapefruit martini was way too sweet. And I’m not really sure the wow with the bread but the rolls at this place were less than wow. Just regular bread to me. Will not be back.
