Definitely my favorite Chinese buffet in the area, namely for the cucumber salad and seaweed salad. I also like their brownies a lot :) I do wish they offered sushi with less rice though. I spend half my meal stripping my sushi of half the rice(most of the time unsuccessfully and very messily) just to enjoy it. Beyond that, I do enjoy this restaurant very very much!

Ate sushi off the buffet. Didn’t get sick. That’s all you really wanted to know right? Yes, I have eaten here on multiple occasions & the above statements remain true. The sushi is good for a buffet, they also offer seaweed salad, plus they have all the regular stuff(lo mein, general’s chicken, etc…) You can get snow crab legs cooked to order by the pound or half-pound for an additional fee and they are usually good, too. Final Rating: 5 buffet stars(top notch for buffet!)

I was VERY disappointed in this restaurant. I have the same sentiment as a previous reviewer — Unilocal really let me down on this one. When we got there, we were seated in a side room with dirty carpet(probably from the 80’s) that smelled… musty at best. Service was less than great. We went at around 7, so it was prime dinner time, but the food on the buffet looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The sushi was good, but the labels were off so I had no idea which one was which, which was disappointing because I have a love/hate relationship with sushi. The best part was the Hibachi, but it was nothing special. The bathrooms were TERRIBLE. I mean awful. I would advise not going in there, I could smell them before I even walked in. For the price we paid($ 28 for two), we could have gone to Sakura down the road, or my personal favorite, Wasabi in Mt. Juliet. This was a waste of money. Will not be back.

Different food in the buffet to choose from! Sushi, Seaweed salad, octopi and even chinese food! Love the food and great service. Will come back again!

Asian buffet at its worst. The atmosphere is nothing to what a restaurant should uphold to. They put us in one of the side rooms with carpet, which smelled beyond horrible. The food wasn’t the best, the service was okay, and the environment didn’t seem to be clean at all. Never coming back — even if you paid me to!

There’s a whole lot of apathy in this place. Im convinced the dinner(at 6:30) was leftover from lunch, or shortly after– not worth $ 13.00, by any means. One would think fried rice at a Chinese place would be good; no sir, no ma’am. Dry, crunchy and flavorless. Most hot dishes were nearly empty and dry(at 6:30!) I watched a worker scrape the obviously old coconut shrimp straight on top of a fresh batch. That has to be a health code violation. Employees walk around like zombies. That’s it for me.

I love this place. Lots of sushi and hot food to choose from. The lunch buffet is the best value anywhere in Nashville & dinner prices are completely reasonable. It’s good for large or small groups, families and professionals. There’s even pizza if your kids are awful and hate good food.

All you can eat sushi plus great hibachi and a variety of other foods to choose from if you still have room. Best to go around 4:30 fresh sushi for dinner time

It was ok. The hibachi/sushi place we have in Dothan AL is much better, more choices. I did not get hibachi, just buffet. The desserts(cream puff, éclair) were soggy, stale tasting, the dessert in a mini pie cup — idk what it was, but it had coconut flavor and was good. Place had a decent cold foods/salad bar section with seaweed salad — which was tasty. Didn’t care for some of the hot foods which were over-breaded and overcooked. To end on an up-note, they had a good variety of sushi rolls, and the volcano, special cali, and tuna rolls were delish!

I go to Koi about once a month, have been doing that for the last couple of years. I have always enjoyed the food. I like the salad bar and especially like all the choice of sushi they have. I know it is freshly made as I watch them put it out. The other selections are diverse and good, I like their soups and different types of rice and noodles. Their chicken is not overcooked or dry like some buffets I have gone to. I have used the hibachi grill several times and enjoy that also. One of the best buffets in middle Tennessee as far as I am concerned.

Even this late, everything is still fresh & they’re willing to bring out anything that’s not there. Love their«build your own» hibachi grill– how perfect(especially for those particular eaters) Friendly staff & best buffet that I have ever been to. *side note: I’ve never had their sushi but they have a good selection

The sushi here is great and everything else it’s pretty good too. Avoid the cold seafood mix with octopus. It’s very very fishy. Overall great service and great food… so long as you keep in mind it’s an Asian buffet, not Jiro’s Sushi.

Mediocre at best! We are traveling and I picked the place based on it’s Unilocal rating. First time Unilocal has led me astray. The food on the buffet all looks the same and in most cases I couldn’t visibly tell the difference between beef and chicken. The sushi is bad, not in a «I am comparing this to an actual Japanese sushi restaurant» kind of way but in an «oh my this is really terrible Chinese restaurant sushi» kind of way. About the only thing this place had going for it was the hibachi and the price.

I was out and about for work and needed a quick bite. This is one of those«sushi buffets» that is really just a glorified chinese buffet with some hastily made sushi of mediocre quality. It wasn’t anything special but it served it’s purpose.

My new favorite restaurant! I’ve been on a big sushi kick lately, though I’m no expert. The variety and quality of the sushi here was fantastic compared with other buffets. The sushi bar was huge, with the chef constantly putting out new varieties. There also were some unusual dishes — I got up the courage to try octopus, seaweed, and frog’s legs, and I’m really glad I did. There were other buffet lines with food like you’d find at Chinese buffets, but it generally was fresher and tastier than the places I usually go. I wish I wasn’t too stuffed to try the hibachi bar — the selections looked great. Service was great. Dinner for two, one soda, tax, and tip totaled $ 32, which I consider a good deal.

decided to give this place a try tonight and I was pleasantly surprised by there sushi selection. so I decided to try a little bit of everything that they had to offer, overall I really enjoyed the sushi bar and I liked the fact that they served oysters as well. Overall I enjoyed this place so I would recommended this place to family and friends.

My friends and I are fans of hibachi and sushi and this has one of the best at any price. It is not the best sushi you can get in middle TN(I think that’s at Wild Wasabi), but it’s very close, and by far the best for the price point. The sushi is fresh and good, and there’s a great variety. The hibachi grill is fabulous-as long as the Honduran is cooking. There is also an extensive typical Chinese buffet with all the options you would expect. Lunch buffet and water for $ 9. Decent service-they skimp on the ice for some reason, but they’re generally attentive. The restaurant is huge, so you never feel crowded. I love Wild Wasabi downtown, but they’re so popular there you often have to fight for a table and then sit elbow to elbow with people, and wait in a long time. Nothing like that here. It’s wide open. It’s generally clean, usually a comfortable temperature, bathrooms are… well, let’s face it, you’re here to overeat sushi and Chinese food. Go for it. P. S. Be sure to check out the enormous Koi fish in the pool.

The first time I went here, I thought, Ok, not too bad. Yesterday I went back for dinner, and it will be my last. The quality of the food has gone to «CRAP». When I asked for the crab that was advertised on the sign(see photos), I was told they were not included in the buffet and were sold extra, by the pound. I left saying I will never go back and scammed about not getting what the sign said. Bad, Yuk, Bad.
