The end of a long day of driving as we head home to NH we thought we would have a nice dinner at this restaurant recommended by the young woman at our hotel. There was no wait and we were seated near the kitchen. My husband ordered a wine and I a club soda with Roses lime juice. We chose a simple meal of Caesar salad with chicken and I ordered a bun less black and bleu burger done medium, sweet potato fries and the veg of the day: squash and green beans. The drinks came quickly and the food soon after. Hubbies salad was just okay, barely dressed. My hamburger was raw. I waited for the waitress to return and told her that my hamburger was raw. Her response was«I told them medium». No apologies. I didn’t notice when this happened but someone probably our server filled my club soda and Roses up with water thus ruining my drink. The veg of the day had winter squash cooked unevenly with tough and dried out green beans still with stems on them. My husband finished his salad before my meal returned delivered by another server who said she wanted me to «check to see if was to my liking». Again no apologies. No reduction in cost, no manager checking to make sure everything was ok… nothing…maybe it was just a very bad night but this is definitely on the top of my list of worst restaurant experiences.

I really like the Granny Apple Pecan salad they serve here. Particularly with the raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing. I usually have the Sammy for my main meal. This is a slab of meatloaf on texas toast with mash potatoes, gravy and shaved onion straws on top. They are usually open till later on the weekends so I have gotten here as late as 9:30PM — 9:45PM and still been able to enjoy a good meal. One time my date had the power salad and she was enthused with that. My only issue is the wait staff can be spotty as far as excellent or bad service. I have sat in the bar and had a VERY nice shorter & slightly plump waitress and I have sat in the main dining room were I got crummy service from a blond lady with a pony tail. BTW, I have had the Sammy here three or four times now as my entrée and normally there is a lot of mash potatoes to the point where it is hard to see the meatloaf or the texas toast. The last time I was there the amount of mash potatoes I got was WAY less than that. When I pointed it out to the waitress(the blond with the pony tail) she did not offer anything beyond a very off the cuff comment about how it must be a different cook. I am betting if it had been the nice lady in the bar I would have very shortly had a small side of additional mash potatoes delivered to my table. Instead she spent WAY more of her time at the table next to me where two younger girls were sitting or arguing with me about the ice tea she brought me was sweet tea or not(it was sweet tea which I cannot stand).

I go to the Grill to eat soup and salad! Their Balsamic blue cheese dressing is my favorite!!! I really enjoy the French onion soup and beans & greens! The black board specials are always wonderful too!

The Stuffed Chicken Marsala was f-ing amazing! So we’re the homemade chips and the French Onion soup. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while.

Great dining experience! Our server, Sienna, was friendly, quick and made great recommendations. We had the ribs — and boy were they filling!!! The BBQ sauce was sweet and yummy and the meat just fell off the bones. Caesar Salads were a great compliment. This is the 2nd time I’ve been to the restaurant and they never disappoint!

I stand by my prior review. I want to give more than 3 stars since I come here all the time and grew up going here. The staff is always pleasant and you can get a solid meal, but it really is just average in my opinion. You also have to watch the menu, what they describe is not always what you get. For example, I’ve ordered the shrimp and grits which is supposed to have tiger shrimp which was just not at all the case. Also, tonight I had the Hickory Salad which was suppose I be a mixed green salad but was sadly, about 95% iceberg.

I have been to the hickory multiple times, and my experiences have varied. The gyro and burgers have been great. The steaks will leave you with something else to be desired. I purchased the second most expensive steak one night and was very disappointed. The steak was orders to be cooked«medium» but it came out rare. The management fixed it and brought me another but the quality and taste of it was still sub par. Drinks from the bar are either on point or will give you enough time to become sober between them. Hickory is expensive and I’m not super impressed with it anymore.

Dinner here has been very tasty. Our service lately has been excellent. I miss some items from the previous menu and find it difficult to find new favorites. Prices are fair for the area. The staff is very friendly and even when an issue arises they deal with it very professionally. We usually show up late and close to closing time and have not been turned away yet. Hopefully that trend will continue. You should try to stop here if you are nearby, you should find something on the menu that you will like.

We have been here many times and had an awesome experience today. Great food and very accommodating. Fire Bleu sauce is delicious and tiramisu is always fantastic.

I’ve been going here ever since it first opened, and I will say it has always been a good experience for me. With reasonable prices, good service, and great food(nice variety, good portion sizes, always fresh, and very tasty), I feel fortunate to have such a top notch restaurant available here in our somewhat small town of Hermitage.

The worst food, that I have ever eaten. This restaurant is dirty, the service Subpar and found the food to below the standards of the dirtiest greasy spoon. Of course, we awe used to a variety of, good food from a big city Where we live… this food, is absolutely an utter disappointment, and we Won’t. Be back. I guess the people in this area don’t know, the difference. Very sad!

I was in town for work and decided to stop by Hickory Grill. I ordered the french onion soup as well as the beer-battered fish sandwich. The food was so good that I came back the very next day. Alongside the food being excellent, it was very affordable and large portions. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Hermitage area!

This place has an updated menu, but it seems IMO that the prices have increased, but quality and quantity have decreased. I rarely go here anymore. I’ve pretty much taken it out of our dining rotation of local places.

I’ve came here a few times. I just don’t like it. The staff was really rude, and the food didn’t taste that great.

We ate at this restaurant 12÷20÷14 with a party of 12. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We ordered everything from burgers to a filet migon and everyone said it was one of the better meals that they have ever had. I have been to many steakhouses and my filet was grilled to perfection and was a meal that I will remember for a long time. When we pass though Sharon we will stop again.

Found this restaurant on a visit to this town & glad we went! Nice rustic, western décor with fireplaces. All the food was very, very good. My wife said the salmon sandwich was one of the best ever. Large craft beer list-bottles & draught. Can’t wait to go back & eat again. Maybe an evening meal for a steak!

Normally I would rate four stars. Tonight they were a little off their game. I really wish half stars were an option. I would prefer tonight to be a 3.5. Wife got the Stuffed Chicken Marsala. Her normal for here. Pasta and chicken both very good. Normal for me is Steak and Sweet Potato. Today I tried something different. I had the Southwestern Chicken. Chicken was good, I liked the queso sauce was a nice touch. However the vegetable medley was raw. I think I will stick to my norm next time. We visit here a few times a year. A short site on some veggies is bound to happen once and a while on a busy night… We will be back again.
