Parson’s Steakhouse

I ordered take out one night with coworkers. The steak was fantastic but the chicken fried steak was not homemade. Even so, the cfs was decent. I didn’t interact with staff so no opinion there but the steak was great.

This restaurant is popular with locals. That was evident by the way the wait staff greeted the regular customers. The salad bar is incredibly fresh with an excellent variety to choose from and includes homemade soups. They had one person tending this large salad bar continually making sure they never ran out of their selections. I got the steak sub which was hot, fresh, and tasty. The onion rings were not homemade and tasted like what you get from a freezer. I wouldn’t recommend ordering onion rings. But there are several sides to choose from. The service was incredibly slow. I was forgotten… twice! The waitresses are not formally trained and spend too much time chatting with customers instead of tending to details of their job. I would still go back for the salad bar. Definitely worth trying.

Staff is very nice. Food, way over-​priced, min $ 16 for steak. The tastiest part of our 8oz ribeye was the fried okra & fresh pineapple from the salad bar. Pass on this one.

The waitstaff has always been great for me. The salad bar is good– have as much as you’d like! Desserts are pretty good. Prices are about average. Usually the entrees are good, and when they haven’t been, they gladly fix it without questions! The steaks are decent, and everything fried tastes about the same. Great people here and more good experiences than not!

Awful food. Chicken fried steak was definitely not freshly made but prepared «somewhere else». Service was lacking. They finally brought a salad after the meal was served and then, the ticket was incorrect, as they overcharged me. I DO NOT recommend that you eat at this establishment.

Used to be THE place in Hereford. Big salad wagon. Steaks ok. Catfish pretty good. Place is getting a bit dog-​eared in need of a freshening.
