Dr. Ng is a Great Optometrist. Very Professional and Friendly. Him and his staff are very organized and helpful. Very experienced and knowledgeable.

It was our first visit to Dr. Ng and we will definitely return. The staff was very friendly, greeted us promptly and we were taken in for our exams without any wait. Once Dr. Ng came in for the exam he was very thorough and friendly. I would definitely recommend this office!

Our family has been using Insight Optometry for a number of years, and we have always been pleased with their services. Dr. Ng is very personable and thorough in the way that he approaches patient care. The office staff are very good at making recommendations on flattering frame shapes. I am always satisfied with both the appearance and the performance of the glasses I get there, which hasn’t been the case with other optical shops I’ve patronized. Highly recommend!

After my uncle retired from optometry, I had to find another optometrist with the same caring, expertise, and knowledge that I was accustomed to. A friend suggested Dr. Ng. I am happy to report that he has now been my family optometrist for over 4 years. He’s great with young adults. my sons, who never enjoy getting eye exams, see him for regular exams. I had a problem with my vision and Dr. Ng went above and beyond to check my eyes to make sure my «floaters» werent anything more serious. His assistant, Lauree, is great when it comes to suggesting glass frames. I received many compliments on how stylish I look in my glasses! My uncle was a hard optometrist to beat but I am so happy to find Dr. Ng. He really cares about his patients and their eye health.

I just received a call from Dr. Ng apologizing for the delay in receiving my eyeglasses. He gave me what I perceived was a valid explanation… not an excuse. He also offered a discount on my next visit. Time will tell whether he will make good on his promise.
I appreciate it when a service provider listens AND responds to its customers. I figured if he took the time to call and apologize, the least I could do is also take the time to update this review and give him a well-​deserved extra star.

For years I avoided Lenscrafters because of their high prices and because of how much I’d have to pay out of pocket for an eye exam and to update my three frames. Luckily I got a new job in 2015 that included vision and before 2015 came to a close, I decided to take advantage of my insurance. As with anything else, I took to Unilocal to find a reputable business close to home and InSight looked to be my best bet with an average of 5 stars.
Unfortunately they were booked for the next two weeks for an exam, but I was offered a cancellation first thing in the morning on a Saturday and I quickly took it. I was 5 minutes early to my 9am appointment and the doors were already open. After filling out a few forms, I was greeted by Dr. Ng, who was very friendly and proceeded to begin the exam. Dr. Ng clearly explained the results of my exam and went into depth on the condition of my eyes given that I hadn’t had an exam in 5 years. By the end of the exam, it felt as if me and Dr. Ng were friends, something I don’t experience with anyone in the medical field.
I was then passed off to his front staff who had a selection of frames ready for me. Although the frames did fit my style, I explained I had a few frames of my own that I wanted to keep and simply update the prescription. Once the young lady saw the designer frames, she agreed that it was a wise choice to update the prescription. I handed over the frames and was given a bill breakdown that clearly outlined what my insurance covered and what I’d have to pay out of pocket. The process was clear and couldn’t of been any easier or painless. I was told the frames would arrive in 5 – 10 business days.
5 business days later I received a call that my frames were ready for pickup. It took some work to get there before 6pm on the weekdays but nonetheless when I arrived the front staff were quick and friendly. The frames looked and felt better than Lenscrafters, the prescription felt different but with time I was told I’d become accustom to the new prescription. I can’t recommend InSight enough, Dr. Ng is a total professional with great attitude and patience, as is his reception staff and sales women. The selection of frames range from designer to economy priced with something for everyone. I can safely say I won’t be returning to Lenscrafters anytime soon. Thank you Insight and Dr. Ng.

Laurie is an excellent office manager. Dr Ng is friendly and professional. We’ve been coming here for 3 years. The office is clean and right next door to good snack places so it’s easy to grab a snack after I pick up kids from school and before I go to this office. I would recommend to adults and children.

Dr. Ng and his receptionist are very professional. They always answer all my questions thoroughly. The office is clean and the equipment updated. The office is in a good location with lots of food options steps away. I have worn glasses since I was 3 years old and have finally found an eye doctor I am completely satisfied with. My husband, my children, and I will be visiting InSight Optometry for years to come.

Dr Ng gave a thorough eye exam and listened to my concerns to ensure corrective lenses met my needs.

Dr. Ng is great! Not only is he really thorough, he’s fun to talk to and makes the exam enjoyable and quick. I will plan to go to Dr. Ng for a long time. Btw they have a great selection of frames.

In terms of my medical appointment, I have absolutely no complaints. I think Dr. Ing is amazing at his job, very down to earth person and I really liked his method of checking my eyes because he was very thorough.
HOWEVER, when it came time to pick out my glasses, I was bombarded by one of the receptionists. I know it’s her job to help and to sell a frame, but I just felt very suffocated because she would not leave me alone to shop for my frames. Eventually she had to go attend to other customers, which gave me an opportunity to finally be left alone. I finally picked out the frames I liked, and was ready to let her know. So I got her attention and gave her the frames I picked out. (And here is why I will not be coming back) when she took my frames, she says: «In my opinion, I don’t think these are a right fit for you. The size and color are all wrong for your face shape. But don’t mind me, you have the right to choose anything you want. Maybe you should try these Gucci frames, It’ll better suite your face» After her statement, all I had to say was «YES I DO have the right to choose whatever frame I want and as someone who works in customer service, what you just commented was rude and unnecessary. Now can I please get on to purchasing my order»
Like I said, as someone who works in customer service and sales, I believe that unless asked by the customer, your opinion should never be stated ESPECIALLY if it’s a negative swing. Also, all she was trying to do was get me to spend more money, I mean, the GUCCI FRAMES, really? She had no manners and I hope someone puts her in check.

Dr. Ng was very personable and answered all my questions. We scheduled an eye exam for my daughter with Dr. Ng after reading the good reviews on Unilocal.The first eye exam I took my daughter to was horrible. He is pricey but worth it. They have a good selection of lens and I love how everyone is so nice.

After going for sometime with outdated eyeglasses and running out of contacts. I am very glad to have found Dr Ng At insight Optometry. The experience was everything I hoped for. He took the time to actually listen to My questions and concerns. And His staff took the time to help Me find frames within My budget. If your in need of an eye exam, glasses, or contacts I highly recommend this place!

This place is great. I was a new patient a few months back and there were issues with the frame I ordered– it was broken and they replaced and realized it came broken again from the manufacturer and they recommended I pick a different frame to avoid having the same problem a third time. However, I couldn’t find any pair I liked in the office so they told me i could pick any frame from anywhere else and they’d order it for me and pay for all of it, even if it was more expensive than the original one I had paid for.
Anyways, they got me my new frame within a week and it’s awesome! I was in their office so many times within the last month and they were always so sweet!

Dr. Ng is an awesome Optometrist and his staff was greatly helpful and friendly!
Can’t wait to pick up my prescription sunglasses!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would!!! This place reminds you of the old fashion concern that doctors use to have for their patients! I went in after years of wearing the wrong prescription and he not only corrected my eyesight, but my head aches as well. Dr Ng and his assistant Lily (I think) are wonderful and they carry the high end frames such as Gucci, Tiffany, and more ! I am not going anywhere else… Period

LOVE this place, I’m so loyal to Dr. Ng. Been coming here for 5+ years. He always takes care of me and the rest of my blind family!
Just a couple months ago Kaiser gave me the wrong prescription and Dr. Ng didn’t mind taking a second look before ordering a new pair of glasses.

Doctor Ng is awesome! He is a family friendly guy, he helped my younger cousin choose a stylish and durable pair of glasses and helped her feel not self conscience.
There are also so many brand choices, there is a pair for anyone!

Would have gotten 5 stars from me if they took the time to pull in my insurance and charged me the correct copay this day I went in.
Dr. Darren Ng answered my phone call when time in need of my flaring Epischloritis episode while on vacation.
He had stated he can come and see me right away regardless of the fact the office opens at 930am. That was a PLUS for me since that morning my eyes were falring so bad and painful.
His office is located in the shell gas station plaza near jack in the box and radio shack. Very nice office!
I fell in love with his taste in «brands» of eyeglasses and sunglasses! Very updated and modern! I was eyeing one of the GUCCI frames during my visit.
Anyway his office manager came in while I was filling out paperwork and stated to her if she can run my insurance so I know what is my copay that day.
Dr. Ng stated to me on the phone usually a dr’s visit is $ 30. I knew my copay for specialty is $ 25 for health and I also have vision insurance and he stated to me he was unsure if they carried my «type» of insurance which was HUMANA VISION.
The office accepted my Health insurance instead.
I noticed that in the middle of having a conversation with his office manager regarding my insurance Dr. Ng called me immediately in the patient room. I didn’t like that because I felt I was being rushed.
Anyhow — The exam with Dr. Ng was great. His machines and tools were modern and up to date and also he seemed knowledgable for such a young age. well he looked young in my eyes!
He agreed what type of eye disease I had and also He stated another issue which I dont think was stated to me prior with my current optomotrist.
He was helpful in my time of need however I did not like the fact that the staff was not efficient with the timely manner of dealing with my insurance and now I have to go back to their office and pick up the overcharged payment I made of $ 5.
Any overcharged issue or lack of service for clients/​patients is viewed negatively at times. This is a new establishment and so far they are getting 4 stars for the above reasons.
BTW — IF I only knew Dr. Ng made balloon sculptures I would have asked for one!!!
