I am in my 70s and have suffered from possible brain cancer and kidney cancer. I have Stage 3 kidney disease and I have Stage 2 bladder cancer. Needless to say, I have had many MRIs over the past few years. During this time, I have lived in WA, AZ and NV. In WA, my radiologist was a family friend and we received outstanding service. In NV, I knew no one. I went to Steinberg Diagnostic because they have a big bore MRI. But the service I received was equal to the service I received in WA. The staff is outstanding. They take the time to explain the procedure, they make you comfortable, and they listen to you. I don’t understand why so many negative comments have been left, but my experience has been extremely positive. The only negative comment I can make is that it takes 2+ weeks to schedule a MRI on one of their big bore MRIs. I can understand this because most patients would elect a big bore MRI instead of a standard bore MRI. Other than that, I would heartily recommend Steinberg Diagnostic Imaging to any patient needing diagnostic imaging service.

I had to go in today for both a MRI and a MRA. First they had the wrong name in their system. Then they insisted that I needed Contrast when my doctor said I didn’t need it. Then I waited over 1 hour to get to the actual test. Then I was slid into the machine and panicked after 10 seconds. Part of the problem was they never gave me a panic button. The mirror was angled in a way that I could only see my own eyes instead of out the machine. The headphones they gave me weren’t even playing music.
They wouldn’t even offer me to take a moment to breath and relax, instead they quickly pushed me away from the machine and back to the changing room while saying «Make sure you pay your co-​pay». I told them F* no I didn’t even do the test, why should I pay? Then they said you will need to reschedule with a sedation, however I would have to have someone come with me. I have only one friend in Las Vegas, she is not able to take off of work just to take me to a MRI. Other issue is the next available test date would be over 2 weeks away.
I asked if I could run home (I live 15 minutes away) to get my friend to come with me for the sedation. They said «We are Triple Booked and you will have to come another day»
They really lack any and all compassion. They are run like a meat market where you take a number and they don’t even care enough to make your experience pleasant. Sad thing is, they are the only ones my Insurance will pay for.

let your customers know to remove credit cards & anything with a swipe bar from pockets before mri.
it should be on the forms customers fill out, told by the receptionist, & technician doing the mri.
now my cards DO NOT WORK & i have to call for new ones & wait for replacements in snail mail usps :(

I was referred here through my ob for an ultrasound to have an anatomy scan of my baby done. Having been here a few years ago for an xray, i knew to expect a wait. Surprisingly, the wait this time wasn’t bad at all. Front desk staff were friendly, and professional. The facility is clean and they get the basic job done, which is why they receive 3 stars.
Overall though, this is not a location i would recommend for prenatal ultrasounds. I didn’t expect anything special considering that the facility isn’t focused on pregnancies, but the tech was so unpleasant, I wouldn’t wish her upon any first time pregnancies. The facility is not family friendly, my husband was not welcome in the room while the tech performed the scan. This is our third child, and the first time he’s ever been excluded from an ultrasound. My questions about what her procedure was were unwelcomed, i think i offended her by asking what was going to be done to me (she had said she had to do a test on me so I asked what the test was. Apparently that’s what she calls the scans. I’d never heard an ultrasound referred to as a test before so I had asked.) The room is not set up like other offices, there was no screen set up for me to be able to see what was displayed on the machine. The scan took her almost an hour and i couldn’t see much more than the side view of the machine’s monitor. When she was done she called my husband in and gave him a quick show of the screen so he could see the baby, but like i said, i couldn’t clearly see the screen. She also didn’t make a good effort to find the baby’s gender, which is what he really wanted to know. We are 28 weeks along, the gender should be easy to identify. With my other children, the techs would have me shift positions to get the baby to move so they could get a better view to determine gender. She didn’t make that effort, and i sure wasn’t going offend her again by asking. I’m hoping my ob will share the images with me, and tell me how the baby is doing, because the tech didn’t offer any info. As for the gender, we’ve scheduled an appointment with another location we’ve used before where we know we will be treated better. I highly recommend going elsewhere for prenatal scans, especially if it’s a first pregnancy, its a special time and should be treated as such.

I was sent here last minute to have a scan performed. I did not have an appointment so I knew I was in for a long wait. To be exact, I checked in around 1:45 pm and ended up leaving around 3:30 pm. There were quite a few patients before me and like I said I did not have an appointment, so I can’t really be too upset.
The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and efficient with all the patients checking in. The facility itself was clean and an extra plus for the restrooms being clean as well. The nurse who performed the scan (wish I could remember her name) was awesome! She was very sympathetic to my situation and walked me through everything she was doing. She was patient with me even when I kept fidgeting during the scan. After the scan was performed, she explained the results and was kind and knowledgable.
I hope I don’t return to this place because I hate places like this. But they have some awesome employees that work here that made my experience that much smoother.

I went for my sons MRI and the tech and front desk are wonderful. When I told them my son has high functioning autism the tech explained everything to him and were so kind. My son had a good experience because of it.

To whom it may concern or to whom it may not concern,
I don’t write reviews but after today’s appt and also reading the other reviews I feel it’s necassary. I feel the biggest problem this office has is communication! The staff at the front desk was very polite, too comfortable with telling u that your appt needs to be rescheduled (almost like she has to do it a lot). Waits are expected when dealing with medical field so I budgeted my whole after to take care of this. I was pleasantly greeted and given my paperwork to fill out. I turned them and about 15 – 20 mins after turning them in they call me up tell me they had to reschedule because I needed to prep. My appt was scheduled 1 week ago and I specifically asked is there anything I need to do prior to my visit and was told no just come straight from work. I thought it was odd but not knowing exactly what my Dr had requested, I just went with it. Once she called me up to let me know it has to be rescheduled she then tells me my Dr did not sign his order. This was all set up a week prior to the appt! Why 20 mins after me being there is all this being brought up. I was told there was a voice message left yesterday for me and that is not correct. A missed call from a vegas # but no message. So to sum it all up! If u work 60 – 70 hours a week and have minimal time to get away for a procedure do your homework prior to getting there don’t assume just because they call u with ur appt that they are prepared. Comunication is the key to success.

This is an update to the review I made last week. I went back to have my X-ray’s done at this location for two reason: convenience since it is close to my house and to see if this location is better at the beginning of the day instead of the end of the day. I got there at 8am and there was only one person ahead of me. The person behind the front desk smiled, the opposite of my last encounter at this location. She told me that the x-​ray techs did not show up until 8:30 and the first x-​rays are done at 9. I thanked her for telling me and I waited.
Five minutes to 9 or so I was called in and was taken back to prep and then take my x-​rays. Everything was done very professionally and very quick too. When I go my cd for my xrays I was told that someone wanted to talk to be. Though I was wondering why since my insurance covered everything why I was being asked to go to what I thought was the billing area.
A very nice lady asked be if I was the Caron B that gave the one star on Friday and I said yes I was. She then asked me what happened. I was more then happy to tell her everything and very impressed that she cared to ask. Though I did see that on every negative review for clients there was a comment from someone from Steinberg Diagnostic, I had assumed that those responses were just lip service. The lady really did seem to care about what happened before.
My suggestion is to go in the morning to this location at least. By the time they «officially» opened, the waiting room was full to capacity,

I had a appointment at 12:00 to get a MRI so I arrived at 11:30 to fill out what ever paper work that might be needed. I signed in and stood at the counter I wasn’t addressed or by no one in fact the receptionist didn’t look up so I sat down and proceeded to wait in the lobby with three other people. At 12:15 I was called to the counter to «now» fill out my paperwork… when it was finished she then said that the co-​pay was $ 100 I explained that I had on me was $ 60.00 and that I called several times to find out what the charge and was told that they didn’t know but would call me with the amount. That never happened… I don’t use a ATM or charge card and pay with cash and all I had on me was $ 60.00 and to just bill me for the $ 40.00 and was told no it has to be taken care of now. I then said that I would have to go to the bank (just a few blocks away) and get the balance and was told that I would have to reschedule. So after waiting for a month to get a MRI appointment and calling several times to get a amount I was turned away because of the $ 40.00 balance? The office staff wasn’t rude but they were barely lethargic and didn’t acknowledge me. Very very poor customer service. I will NEVER step into you place of «business» again and will report to my insurance company and doctor of your poor practice.

SO slow!!! was very crowded and it looked like there was tension behind the front desk of the employees people are getting called up sporadically and back and forth for paperwork and copies and cards the lady in the back was extremely nice but when your first impression is overcrowded unhappy miserable looking people in the waiting room I knew they have been there a long time and has just had a really crappy encounter with the lady up front. Or should I say girl just bring your patience try to fill out your paperwork before you get there and have your card out and ready

I came here for an invasive procedure. My insurance dictated that I come here. I was told to fill out paperwork once I was changed which included signing the consent form, before even talking to the radiologist. I explained that I am a radiology nurse, however legally the radiologist should speak to me prior to me signing the consent. I asked the tech if they buffered their lidocaine. She told me yes. When I spoke to the radiologist, I asked the radiologist the same question and was told that they don’t have bicarb in order to buffer the lidocaine. To top it off there was no recovery after this invasive procedure, which increases the chances for complications. Their discharge sheet was very general. I can see why on the discharge paperwork they talked about the complication of a spinal headache, because I’m sure those who don’t know all the details of what to do would develop this complication.
The radiologist and the technologist were very kind, I just hope that future patients who aren’t radiology nurses are better informed, get buffered lido (helps to reduce the sting of the lidocaine) and maybe they recover patients that have invasive procedures and not just get them out the door.
If I could have had my procedure somewhere else I would have. Simply for safety concerns of no recovery. And being lied to about the buffered lidocaine, when there wasn’t any! I am sad that Nevada is know for poor health care this doesn’t help.

I had my follow up visit yesterday, and I have to say… this visit wasn’t as smooth as the last one, but it ended up being a good example of customer service.
I got in about an hour before my appointment time, and signed in. I waited about 20 minutes before being called up to fill in some paperwork for the new test. Not bad, considering it was packed and I was early.
I was taken back and given a gown and a place to change, and told to strip just from the waist up.
I asked if they were sure, because I was supposed to have another transvaginal ultrasound, and the last time, I got completely undressed.
That’s when the trouble started.
I was told that there was an issue, that I had a balance on my account, and that I would not be able to have the test done.
I’m not going to get into all of the details, but after speaking to a girl at the front desk, and a billing supervisor, we got things taken care of, with minimal crying on my part.
I have to give kudos to the girl at the front desk… I wish I had her name… I was NOT nice at this point… having to go in for tests, worrying about my health, pulling teeth at work to get the time off to come in… yeah, I was not pleasant to deal with, and she remained professional the whole time.
There was another front desk worker who overheard what was going on, and was very kind, reassuring me that everything would be ok, and they were.
For the actual tests, I had Connie, for the ultrasound, who was the same woman as last time. She was great, again.
I also had Caroline for my (first ever) mammogram, and she was awesome. She was kind, and put all of my fears to rest about the pain, etc. She checked up on me frequently, making sure that I wasn’t in pain, and was personable.
Even with the issue that I encountered yesterday, I would still be glad to return here for testing. (Especially since things were resolved, and they provided me with information that I didn’t have previously, which caused the issue.)
The staff were professional and pleasant, even when dealing with a scared, upset, emotional mess.

Thanks to Stacey Web! She called me to apologize (which was much appreciated, doesn’t happen often) and got me rescheduled for another appointment. It went pretty smoothly and the lady that performed the mammogram was a delight. Just sucks that my previous experience was unpleasant. Second time was a charm

3 hour wait. My referring doctor sent me to the wrong office, so that’s on him. Making a patient wait for 3 hours while staff watches ellen is never acceptable.

This place is horrible with keeping your appointment time, their over book patients. I got here at 11:45am for 12:30pm appointment and I didn’t call until 1:05pm just for a simple monogram test. There was so many people waiting that I had to wait outside. I was done at 2:15pm. What kills me is I an appointment for 12:30pm and they asked me to be here at 12: noon like if they were going to see me in time.
I’ll never return here again.
Also I didn’t get apology for the screw up.

Very strange set up and check in process. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment assuming I’d have paperwork having never been here before. The girl at the front desk had me write my name on a sticker and then sent me away. About 10 minutes later I was called to the desk to «check in» and complete the registration forms (not sure why I couldn’t have been doing those as soon as I arrived, but ok). She took my insurance card and ID and had me sit back down. 20 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment time (so 40 minutes total), I was finally called back where I received my ID and insurance card (weird that they held onto it, but again — whatever).
The ultrasound tech was very pleasant and efficient although there was almost no explanation of the procedure and she didn’t ask if I had any questions. (Luckily I was already familiar with it, but how was she to know?) The rest of the staff — virtually no eye contact, no smiles, very little interest in the patients at all. I’ve worked in healthcare for a very long time and if there IS any organization to this office, it is not apparent as a patient. The office space is unwelcoming and small and they were showing a soap opera on the TV in the waiting room. All in all, an unprofessional office and if I need imaging services in the future, I will choose another location or facility.
I am giving 2 stars for a 1 star-​worthy review simply because the clinic areas were very clean and much care was taken to appropriately sanitize equipment in my presence.

I’ve been here twice now, once for an ultrasound and again for and MRI, and have always experienced pleasant staff.
The waiting room is too small, however, and the building could do with a bit of a renovation.
Overall I don’t think this is a bad location and will be back if the need arises.

Incredibly rude staff, waiting lobby is too small, no automatic doors, (if your walking with crutches these doors help), my appointment was at 10:45 I showed up at 10:30 I wasnt called in till 11:30, go to a different office because here they’ll waste your time and patience
